Chapter 6
After a tiring day at the office, kunj returned home. He had just come out after a shower. As he stood infront of the mirror with only a towel wrapped around his waist, bare bodied, looking even more handsome, twinkle's thoughts occupied his mind. He ran his fingers through his hair and stood there staring at his reflection in the mirror. He interospected himself from top to bottom and said," Wah Kunj Sarna! Wah! Kya maintain kiya hai khud ko... No wonder ki ladkiyan aaj bhi marti hai tujhpe..." he continued with a hint of sadness in his eyes," par aisi body shody banane ka kya fayda... jisko marna chahiye ispe wahi nahi marti." Gaining back his confidence, he added correcting himsef," nahi nahi, marti toh woh hai... bas gussa hai abhi, issliye itna bhaav kha rahi hai.. ek baar gussa shant ho jayega toh dur nahi reh payegi mujhse."
He turned towards the window in his room and started tapping his feet to a song.
KAB TAK RUTHEGI,CHIKHEGI,CHILLAYEGI.
DIL KEHTA HAI...
"nahi nahi yeh galat hai, ek baar firse try karta hu" corrected kunj.

EK NA EK DIN TO YEH HASEENA MAAN JAAYEGI.
"Haa ab sahi lag raha hai. Aur waise bhi woh na maanne wali hoti kaun hai? Mai toh manvake chodunga... After all Kunj Sarna naam hai mera" he said with a new spark in his eyes. He was sure of making everything right this time. He wanted his twinkle back and was not going to rest until he did.
Kunj then moved towards his wardrobe to select what to wear for the party. He wanted everything to be perfect as this was going to be his first party with twinkle in three years. He had almost combed through whole of his wardrobe but couldn't find anything right to wear. He was able to find one fault or the other in every set of clothes. Finally he got fed up," arey yaar kuch bhi aisa nahi mil raha jo usse pasand aye."As he was about to give up, his eyes fell on his silver coloured blazer. He took to it out along with a black highneck and paired it with blue denims. Seeing this combination brought back a beautiful memory to his mind.

It was their first date after the confession. Kunj hadn't been to the office all day as he was busy planning the perfect date for twinkle. He picked her up directly after the office hours. He was wearing that combination and twinkle was dressed in a white kurta and light blue patiala. On seeing her kunj gave a whistle and gave her a look of appreciation. His heart literally skipped a beat. He said," abhi ye haal hai toh fir shaadi ke baad toh meri jaan hi le logi tum". Twinkle blushed and said,' ab chale? Yahi khade rehne ka irada hai kyu tumhara?.
To this kunj replied naughtily," Hayye! tumhe dekhte hue toh mai kahi pe bhi khada reh sakta hu." Twinkle said almost pushing him off the bike," ab chalo kunj. Bauhat tareef kar li meri." But before getting up on the bike, she came closer to kunj and said to him," waise aaj bauhat..." she glanced around to make sure no was around and continued," handsome lag rahe ho Mr Kunj Sarna". Kunj couldn't help but smile and spoke up acting innocently," kya kaha? Kuch sunayi nahi diya. Phir se bolo na".
Twinkle again came closer to him and took her lips to his ears. She said almost yelling," behere kahike!!!". Kunj moved his face away from her with a jolt and said covering his ears," baap re baap kitna chillati ho tum, shaadi ke baad pakka behara bana dogi mujhe". Finally they made their way to the restaurant.
When they entered the restaurant,there was a slow murmmer of "Ooo!" from all the ladies.Twinkle glared at Kunj and they took their seat at the appropriate table.All were admiring him with their expression and Kunj being his naughty self , was enjoying twinkle's jealousy rather than feeling embarrassed before her..She made a fist out of anger and was trying hard to compose herself, all this was taking a toll on her patience. Suddenly, a girl got up from her seat to go to the washroom which was just behind their table.As she stepped beside their table,she acted as if she had twisted her ankle and was about to lose her balance and screamed,"Ouch!" Kunj being a gentleman immediately, out of courtsey,got up from his seat and gave her a helping hand.She looked into his eyes and very seductively held his hands and in a seductive tone,thanked him,"Thank you so much.Agar aap nehi hote toh...pata nahi mera kya hota." Kunj smiled. When she was about to get up, she suddenly lost her balance and fell on Kunj.This was the last straw and this time twinkle could not control herself and got up from her seat.She held the girl by her hand and said,"Bauhat dard ho raha hai?Main theek kar du?" The girl got scared seeing Twinkle's expression and she somehow said,"No...uh-its ok.I c-can manage." The girl left.Twinkle then turned towards Kunj and mocked,"bauhat samaaj seva karne ka shauk hai na? Toh jao." She looked at his dress and threw a glass of orange juice at him and said,"Sab kuch na inn kapdo ke vajah se hua hai.Kabhi bhi agar ye kapde tumne pehnne na toh dekh lena." He was standing there like a fool, soaked in orange juice, just staring at her. His gaze was broken by Twinkle's stomp on his feet.Kunj screamed loudly.Twinkle left angrily and Kunj, too, followed her calling out her name in an attempt to stop her anyhow. Kunj yelled," twinkle sun toh sahi... twinkle ruk na... at least sun toh le". He was still hopping around with one leg in the air. He said murmuring to himself," kisi din tu pakka Shaheed ho jayega kunj puttar... ye siyappa queen teri jaan le legi".

Kunj didn't realise that he was smiling to himself remembering those days. He thought," Uss din toh juice feka tha, aaj dekhte hai ki tum kaise react karti ho". He had finally zeroed in on what to wear. He got ready as fast as he could, called a cab and headed down to the party venue.
Twinkle and Yuvi arrived at the party before Kunj. Twinkle was very uncomfortable in that dress yuvi had gotten her, she kept pulling the frock downwards. Yuvi put his arms around her and assured her," don't worry twinkle, tum bekar mei tension le rahi ho. You are looking beautiful". Twinkle passed him a faded smile. That smile she gave didn't reach her eyes. Mr Kaushik's brother was also invited to the party. Kaushik introduced both Yuvi and Twinkle to him.
Akhilesh said praising them," toh aap hi hai Miss Twinkle Taneja aur Mr Yuvraj Luthra... bauhat suna hai aapke bare mei..." "It's a pleasure meeting you" he continued forwarding his hand to them. They shook hands. Akhilesh again said looking at Twinkle," Aap ka jis bhi lafz se shukriyaada karu kam hai joh aapne hamara offer accept kiya.Main to aap ka zindagi bhar abhaari rahunga."Twinkle replied,"Arey nahi aap kaisi baate kar rahe hai.Sir ne kaha aur main manaa karu aisa toh kabhi ho hi nahi sakta. "Akhilesh gave her a laugh.He looked here and there and asked Kaushik,"Par kaushik yaar tumhara vo reporter kaha hai jo Miss Twinkle ki madat karne US se yaha aaya hai.. jiske liye party di hai wahi gayab hai"
At that exact moment kajal almost screamed," hi kunj.. Finally tum aa gaye". He was quickly surrounded by all the ladies. Twinkle's eyes were glued to the door since the minute she arrived. She was desperately waiting for him, stealing glances at the door any chance she got. She was worried for him when he didn't show up yet. She gave a sigh of relief when she finally saw him emerege out of the grip of those girls and walk towards her.
Kunj looked at her and lifted his blazer's collar to greet her. She looked at him and though she was still angry about the attention he was getting from the ladies, she couldn't stop herself from smilingseeing that blazer. Twinkle's gaze was broken when Kaushik pointed towards kunj and said," lo aa gaya woh." Akhilesh remarked," lagta hai ki ladies ke mamle mei kaafi famous hai aapka reporter." and started laughing on his own comment, he was joined by Kaushik. Kaushik introduced Kunj to Akhilesh.They both shook hands.They talked about here and there and Kaushik again warned everyone not to disclose the actual reason behind Kunj's arrival.While they were talking,Kunj looked at Twinkle and noticed her discomfort in the dress.At that moment,they had an eye lock.Kunj smiled and blinked his eyes in an assuring manner kind of like giving her signal to be comfortable and not to worry as he was there.There was such a sense of belongingness in his eyes that it washed away all her discomfort in a second and a smile formed on her lips.
Kaushik, got up on the stage and took the mike and announced,"May I have your attention ladies and gentlemen! Bina music ke kisi bhi party ka mazaa nahi aata.So my beautiful ladies and handsome men, please enjoy the music." He ordered the dj to play the music.They played a very soothing song.There was a dim light creating a romantic environment and all the couples danced.Yuvi and Twinkle,too,joined the others on the dance floor.Though Twinkle was dancing with Yuvi, her eyes were constantly fixed on Kunj. Many girls approached kunj for a dance,but he politely refused their offers.Suddenly,Kunj noticed that the back chain of Twinkle's dress was slightly opened and very slowly,the hook was coming down.Kunj's eyes widened. He became cautious.Twinkle was dancing and swirling in Yuvi's arm still ignorant to this. Kunj slowly stepped near Twinkle.As the hook was about to cross the danger line,Kunj caught her.She was almost an inch away from him and his hand was on Twinkle's waist. He gave a seductive smile to her and slowly lowered his face to kiss her.She could feel his breath on her face and it was making her go mad.She clinched his blazer to control her nerves.Twinkle closed her eyes with an intention to surrender to him with a deep desire of enjoying the kiss. when their lips were just a few inches apart ,Kunj instead of kissing carried his lips towards her shoulder while his hand was moving from her waist to the chain, pulling it upwards.He kissed her on her shoulder and in that manner slowly closed the chain of her dress.With the last stroke of closing the chain,Kunj pulled her towards him which made their bodies come into contact with each other.He slowly raised his face and looked into her eyes.Twinkle by this time understood the reason of Kunj's closeness.Her eyes filled with tears of gratitude and she felt like hugging him and crying. She looked at him and seemed like her eyes were conveying a message to him,"Mujhe yaha aur ek pal bhi nehi rehna.Le chalo mujhe yaha se Kunj!" By that time Yuvi,who had gone for a drink,returned and was a bit upset to find them so close to each other.At that moment,the lights were turned back on and Twinkle and Kunj got back to their senses distancing themselves from each other on realising their proximity.
Everyone clapped and Kaushik welcomed the guests for dinner.Twinkle,Yuvi and Avasthi brothers were standing and gossiping while Kunj was busy with other guests.Twinkle noticed that some men were eyeing her making her all the more uncomfortable so,this time,she desperately wanted to go home.She pulled Yuvi's arm,"Yuvi chalo na chalte hai please mujhe ghar jaana hai." Yuvi put his hands on hers and casually replied,"R elax Twinkle abhi to party shuru hui hai,upar se yeh hamare boss ki party hai.Abhi chale jaayenge to rude lagega,ok,so just chill." Twinkle was so helpless.She thought,"Agar mera pehla waala Kunj hota toh mujhe usse bolne ki bhi zaroorat nahi padti,woh khud hi koi na koi bahaana banaake mujhe yaha se nikaalke le jaata." Kunj was continuously noticing all the little changes in her body language and with her eyes,his eyes too travelled to the direction where those men were standing and he acknowledged those looks.Suddenly,to Twinkle's utmost surprise,a waiter,with a tray of drinks dashed on to Twinkle making her dress dirty.The waiter apologized many times.Kaushik bashed him and asked him to move away.Yuci screamed,"Oh God !Itni keemti dress kharaab kardi aur upar se tumhe bhi ganda kar diya.S**t." Twinkle was so surprised as Yuvi was more concerned about the stupid dress rather than her well being.By that time,Kunj too came and exclaimed,"O God Twinkle tumhari to haalat bauhat kharaab hai.I think you should return home now."All agreed and Yuvi offered to drive her home.Yuvi was about to leave with Twinkle when Kaushik stopped him,"Yuvi mujhe tumse kuch important baat karni hai." Yuvi said,"Par Sir Twinkle..." Kaushik cut his words in the middle,"Usse Kunj chod dega" looking at Kunj,he continued,"Kyu Kunj?Tumhe koi problem to nehi hogi na?" Kunj was jumping with joy from inside, but with normal reaction,he said,"No Sir bilkul nahi par mere paas car nahi hai. Meri car abhi tak deliver nahi hui." Kaushik responded,"No problem meri car le jaao" and gave him his car keys.Twinkle and Kunj left as Yuvi continuously stared at them.When they reached the entrance,Kunj opened his blazer and wrapped it around twinkle.He looked and smiled at Twinkle,who felt herself go numb seeing the care in his eyes and they both headed towards the car.
