Now coming to Yuvi: I no longer see him as merely a great character. A man who justifies a rape, and is willing to carry it out not just once, but twice, is not a grey character. He is evil in all sense of the word and in no way should he be forgiven.
Twinkle: She is consistently allowing herself to be abused by Yuvi. She is showing that she has no self-respect and will continue acting this way just to please him. Being a woman in the lead role this is highly toxic as younger girls who are watching this will get the wrong idea. In a time where domestic abuse, and rape is highly prevalent in India, girls need to learn how to stand up for themselves and their rights. They need to know that they CAN do this because they are human beings. Not secular creatures who have merely been created to fulfill men's desires.
Kunj: He is protective of Twinkle because she is refusing to stand up for herself. If she had, then he wouldn't be constantly saving her. Coming from an abusive home, he recognizes it when it happens. He may not be able to stand up to his dad all the time due to fear of him, but he can stand up to Yuvi and prevent him from harming Twinkle. He can do this until she realizes what Yuvi is doing is wrong. As for Alisha, he was going to tell his dad everything and he even did but his dad had headphones on and didn't hear him. When Kunj tried again, it was Twinkle who stopped him. And why are you guys berating Kunj in not stopping the marriage? Why not go after Yuvi and Twinkle who supposedly love each other so much. More than Kunj, THEY have a greater responsibility in telling the truth. They have broken off so many weddings and now they are playing with so many people's feelings by keeping it a secret. Even now, the situation that they all are in, is because of Yuvi and Twinkle's decision to keep their relationship a secret. Alisha doesn't even love Kunj so there is no point in him saying anything as in his mind, that relation might not even go anywhere. If anything, it is Yuvi and Twinkle who have a greater chance in having anything come out of their revelation. Whether it's negative or positive, it's subjective.
Kunj is not the bad guy and neither is he interfering in anyone's relationship. He is merely protecting someone from constantly being abused and seeing how they almost committed suicide, that conviction is only going to become more fierce.
