As for the comment, I completely agree with you. There are different variations of selfishness and the one you have described is Twinkle's. The way she has been presented to us by the CVs show us A woman. A woman that, like you said, exists not only in today's society, but can be found in any.As modern-day female viewers, we want to see women who we can look up to as role models. Women who are logical, understanding, patient. Women who think about themselves along with the concerns of their families. Women who are not consistently sacrificial nor compromising. But instead the opposite has happened here where, (at least with me) we are becoming protective of Twinkle. As women, we want her to realize the danger she is putting herself in and save herself before it is too late. What she has gone through and will go through is horrible and she needs to wake up and see the mess she has been ignoring all this time. The reason why I defend Kunj most of the time is because he is that voice that will hopefully make her see reason. One thing I'm not understanding is, does Twinkle not have any friends? I mean in a crisis like this my girl friends are the first people I will turn to for advice. So where are hers?

Sry in advance, my comment is kinda long lol.
I feel, Twinkle not a complete selfish girl who is mean spririted, and purposely selfish in that sense. But yes she is an immature and spoiled girl who is so shortsighted that she behaves selfishly. I think the creatives are depicting her character like this purposely, to show how there are girls like twinkle who do become blind in "love" and not only allow emotional and physical abuse, but also behave irrationally and selfishly in the name of such "love". They are building on showing that twinkle is a good girl who does know right from wrong (through her love for her mother, standing out in the rain, to saving kunj in today's fight), but that her immaturity and lack of understanding of love and judging people is her biggest weakness and fault. When the climax scene of twinkle learning of yuvi's reality and negative intentions, she will not only break down, but also will learn the biggest lesson of her life and will gain maturity.
