Coming to my topic about gd gents...

What profession do gd gents do... its a sarcastic remark...

I mean whenever gokuldham have any prblm gd ladies call up their husbands and tell them to come home asap... abt sodhi, jetha i can understand they r business man so they can come home according to their wish and bhide and haathi r in society itself...but wht abt taraak and iyyer... they work as an employee... taraak works in an office so how he gets half day or how he can come in society in middle of his office hrs... same goes with iyyer too, how can he come... abt jetha i can understand, daya is one illiterate woman she dont know value of work and money.. money wala thing one can easily notice in sundarlal's scenes... daya emotionally blackmails jetha to lend him 1000s of money with even thinking twice and without even asking sundar y he needs that much money and also during her mannat for sodhi's return were jetha needs to climb coconut tree by himself and take out 11 coconuts... i still remember the cost jetha paid for that machine (sorry i dont know what that machine is called).. he paid 11000 rs... her stupid mannat cost 11000 rs for jetha which is not a small amount... so coming back to the topic.. wife of taraak and iyyer r well educated, so y they always tell them to come to gokuldham even if there is a petty issue.. those issues can be resolved by other gd members also... even these ladies never tell them the reason, they just say come.. even same with jetha... whenever he is in problem he calls mehta anytime during is office timing and taraak magical gets half day leave and is der for jetha... i mean how can he get so many half days... in real world, boss will fire such employee

Just asking but can anyone explain me the job profile of Mr. Mehta ?

Through Mehta we have come across an invisible boss who asks Mehta to write 2-3 articles. Generous Mr. Unknown allows Mehta a day off to write articles topics of which Mehta himself handpicks and which interestingly ranges from anything to anything. He needs no research work, he needs no going out, he needs not talking to various people, he needs no travelling, he needs no credible sources but just a pen and a writing pad.

At office, not much is seen of him except playing with office files and taking Jetha's phone calls. Well, he has a cabin which suggests he is a senior worker there. Then there are seminars and meetings he attends at Jaipur or Pune outcome of which are never known to anyone. We do not know to which magazine or publication house is he associated with and we also have no idea of his published articles. So, what exactly is his job ? Is he a corporate man who attends meetings to extend the publication business he is associated with ? Or is he a plain writer or at best an editor or even a proof reader?

I didn't care much about the half days Mehta takes but I am in awe how all of the men manages to take day offs to go for an outing. In my family we had to decide wedding date after discussing who is free when but in TMKOC the whole society manages to take time off whenever required. Amazing !

This is just to show that GD society people are well educated and doing good jobs and are earning well.Everything ends here.

A small electronics shop businessman is shown richer than a scientist and a doctor.

Secondly, Mumbai is like a small village/town in this show. Everyone travels by auto and reaches their workplace/home in 15-30 minutes.

Regarding Taarak's work,we always get to see him in a small cabin using a computer or writing something on files.And then he gets a call from Jetha or someone from GD society and he rushes from the office. Nothing is known whether he takes permission from his boss or just leaves.

Iyer too is shown working in a lab and no information is there about his job.

Hathi looks like a small MBBS doctor.People with small ailments like cold,cough,fever go to him.

Popat's office is hardly shown.

During parties and festivals, no one invites their employees/colleagues except Jetha because the Gadas are the main characters in the show.

So basically other characters jobs are not important. They are just shown as honest and employed people who earn money by doing decent and respectable jobs.

I remember there was one good hearted gangster living in the society in the beginning of the show. I guess Asit modi ended his character because he wanted to show GD society people mahaan and good and don't indulge in bad/criminal activities.

This show have many loop holes... in earlier episodes only they shud have sorted out all this... Asit modi himself is confused abt his profession.. 🤣

I dont understand why hathi doesnt work in shift.. Like, he is an MBBS doctor and many doctors have there personal clinic plus they work in hospitals as well... He is shown only going to some1's house for treatment...

In one of the article of Asit modi, he said in initial days of this show there were many characters whose payment was not possible at that time, so used to pay from his pocket... There were money issues in earlier days, may be bcoz of which he started removing characters.

Asit Modi needs to read this.😆

Not loopholes Farzi MCP, this is the after effects of glorifying one set of characters over others. The characters of the Gadas have developed over the years which didn't happen to other characters.

Even Asit Modi would not know the job details of Mehta and Iyyer for he never thought of exploring their character. We had two tracks on Iyyer's promotion but we never learnt to which post was he elevated after the promotion.

Hathi doesn't work in shifts like normal doctors because he was originally a gaya guzra doctor upon whom his own wife didn't have much faith. Then they changed the actor and he was geniu doctor overnight.

And for asit modi,anyone who's a doctor is a doctor of everything. 😆Remember the track where he was a dentist who was trying to remove something from Taarak's teeth?😆

It was a total W*F scene. 😆How can an MBBS doctor be a dentist too?

It's a clear proof that Asit modi doesn't pay attention to others jobs.

Another example is Iyer's profession as a scientist too?Sometimes he's shown working in a lab,sometimes he's shown talking to aliens😆 and what not?

Mr.Asit modi,why injustice to only jetha's character then?😉He's a businessman so u can show him selling veggies, groceries, jewelry, etc.,etc.,etc.😉😆

Cannot agree with u more...
Even I remember in earlier epis almost everyone used to be a bit wary of JG and daya was shown as a blabbering nuisance but now suddenly daya is Devi
There's also used be a share broker or something like that living in society, where he is???

I never got to know who r Pinku's parents

Popat,Mehta ,Iyyer they all got promotion but their status at office is still unknown...
Jethalal is on the path of becoming new fire brigade replacing Mehta
