Why did tappi sena volunteered to take care of khushi

When daya and jetha were planning to take khushi to the police station with the rest of the gokhuldham society, why did tappu seena volunteered to take care of khushi. All of them are kids themselves in the show even tho they have started to look like young adults now. Idk if they are naive or the writers have competed made them dumb. They overhype everything and do things that kids can't even think of such as taking loans, organizing events and giving lectures on how to be a good citizens. Passing their actions and age as kids is a joke now.
