Its called infatuation and not love.

Love is a strong feeling. Its stays intact in different situations. Infatuation fades away one day.

Dont forget he was the same man totally upset and confused when Daya was hurt. If anyone had noticed he dint even notice that Babita was standing beside him.

Agreed...dey.bh...ab thoda bohot vo daya ke lie feel karega hi...after all daya is his wife...
but do you remember jab daya n babita ke beech main punja fight hori thi na khel mahotsav main n daya jeet gai ti...u shud had luked at his face...n he was ready to gift 2500000 ki car to babita g when sunder denied to do so during disco dance comp...
Probably u r right n he loves daya also...but most of the time cvs show that he cares for daya because of bapu g...n cares for babita on his a
own...

And one more reason to believe this is that that there are so many tracks n instances where he has proved his love or infatuation for babita...daya ke lie itna kahan dikhate h...bas vo pura din use n hame irritate karti rahti h

There are instances where people have committed suicide out of infatuation.

People even send love letters in blood to their favourite stars. Unfortunately after all that heroic activities that thing remains infatuation only.

Infatuation is always one sided. It doesn't care to know what the other person think about it. Its kind of obsession. Thus, Jetha loses all his senses when he is with Babita. He doesn't care to know that Babita had a love marriage with Iyyer.

Love on the other hand is divine even if it is one sided. Love teaches to respect your partner. Its love for Daya only that makes Jetha bear Sundar and his forgeries. Its love for Daya that made him bear the loss to make Daya do garba during Navratri.

I agree the makers are stretching this Nirdosh liking of Jetha way too far. It was nice in the beginning. There is used to be a show called Shriman- Shrimati ( Doordarshan). They played the same card but wisely and without stretching it too far.

The idea behind Jetha's character was to make a hypocrite Indian man. One who is not respected at home but he finds ways to be popular outside. But after so many years they have messed up this character big time.

but if someone loves another, there is no question of infatuation because love commands loyalty.

i like one thing that writers have drastically reduced jethalal's perversion which was common in earlier episodes. his behavior towards iyer has also improved.

well that was just what i meant to say.

hypocrisy is synonymous with human nature. other society members are hypocrites too. but jethalal's attraction for babita is too much to ask for. how can a noble man with a devout wife, a teenage son and a strict father have attraction for a married woman?????

That is the thread all about. Hypocrisy. It shows us the hypocrisy rampant in humans. Not everyone is Romeo you see. Besides, attraction is a natural phenomenon. Some can hide it and some simply cannot.

jetha type characters are too easy to find. You may dislike them but cannot ignore their existence.

If he loved Babita he would have let Daya go when jetha's accusations on Sundar were proved wrong. It would have solved it all. He would have never gone mad when Daya stopped talking.
