What are diffrances between orignal stories & tv adaption of TMKOC

I read somewhere that popu is not bachelor in orignal stories. How many changes have been made by asit modi ?

All i know is popat is married and is always drunk and beats his wife...

First of all daya's character is not that important

Jetha owns saree or something shop definitely not electronics shop

and sundar is Mehta's boss's brother -in-law not jetha's

but good changes made my Mr. Asit modi...hats off to him for giving such a great show to us...😊, but pls save the show from getting bad name now...year 2014 has been a forgettable one till now...!!!
