Jethalal Gada

He is a wealthy businessman from a village called Bachao in Gujrat. He is always in trouble because of his family members and Nattu Kaka for some reason or the other. He mostly has issues with Bhide, Iyer and Sodhi which later gets resolved.He eats chooran to stop indigestion and burps.Iyer dislikes Jethalal because he proves Iyer that he is not a good husband. Jethalal has a crush on Babita but is generally insulted innocently by his wife in front of everyone. He is bullied indirectly by Goli Hathi. He and Taarak Mehta have a good friendship probably because they both are from Gujurat. His TV/Mobile (Gada Electronics) store runs very successfully and he always has big orders which he gets lakhs of money for it, but his shop is generally insulted by his father. Jethalal refers his wife as dobi, koyal and pagal aurat. He sometimes gets into a romantic mood but Daya spoils all his fun. He loves his son but is also strict at times in order to get his son on the right track but Tapu although naughty, has something is surely special in him.

Daya Gada

An innocent, uneducated and a good hearted lady. She is emotional because she watches serials. She often talks to her mother on the phone but her mother is never revealed. She is very good at an Indian style of dancing called "GARBA" and she does that for showing happiness. She innocently insults Jethalal much to his dismay. Daya refers Jethalal as "Tapu ke papa" because in rural India wives aren't supposed to say their husband's name. However, she generally disrespects Jethalal whenever she meets her brother. She uses words for Jethalal that don't even match his personality. She loves her family and tends to fall into troubles often.
