When TMKOC started many of the above named characters were quite funny. But gradually they have become quite predictable. We already know how these characters would react in a given situation. In comedy, such a situation is not ideal, from actor as well as viewers point of view. However, people can also argue that playing a character for 365 days a year hardly leaves space for nuances and novelty. But that is the beauty and challenges of acting. For example, Dilip Joshi brings out the freshness in his character each day and so can never be boring. We can't say the same for others. So, I think that many of the TMKOC characters should be played by new actors. What do you think?

Actors are not to blame for the predictability. It is the script and dialogues which are predictable.

It is sad to say that somewhere along the way the creatives have lost sight of the essence of the show.

The show is slowly being made into a B-grade comedy.
For eg. every time Iyer is shown, there 'aiyaiyo' is played in the background sound effects as if just showing Iyer's face is supposed to be a punchline.
Similarly when Sodhi is shown it is 'balle balle' in the sound effects
Also Daya's voice is getting more annoying day by day.

Looks like some new idiot has come and started implementing these stupid sound effects. The older episodes are shown on Friday and they don't have these sound effects which means that it is a recent implementation.

The channel should really look into getting the essence of the show back and that can only be done by a good script and dialogues otherwise this show will slowly become another mediocre comedy.

From the list given by KK:Roshan, Daya,Sundar,Champak, Sodhi are essential to the story.
Tappu is getting too much show-time, Its getting saturated, the 'tappu play prank-tappu apologize' : this comic theme is getting boring.
he is essential to the story and must not be replaced or removed but his appearance should be reduced.

But following characters are boring, unfunny and should be removed (not replaced just removed completely) from the serial, and the money thus saved by not having to pay for their unfunny acts, should be used to hire new scriptwriters to produce better episodes.

Pinku serves no purpose, we don't even know who-where his parents are.
Anjali is boring with her 'diet-drama': never ever funny.
Popat was funny only during Kerry's episode. Otherwise his negativity just ruins the mood instead of generating humor. Besides he is never 'taught' a proper lesson for abusing Bhide and others with his frequent verbal fights.

1000% agreed. There is too much background music effect nowadays in this serial.

None of them 😒 All of the actors are great, i seriously cannot imagine anyone other than those playing the characters right now.
