Shailesh Lodha has made a smooth transitin from comedy in reality shows to acting in a sitcom.

His sharp wit and earthy sense of humor have played a major role in establishing him as a comic actor-poet, who can easily interact with the live as well as TV audiences. Whether it's his portrayal as Taarak Mehta in the the popular daily soap Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasmah or his comic poetic musings in Wah Wah and Comedy Circus, people have always enjoyed his comic timing. But Shailesh now wants to do something different. "I want my real self, my emotional self, to come out. I want to shed tears and make the audiences cry too," says the actor. To prove his point, Shailesh shares a small incident: "Once my wife Swati and I were having dinner in a restaurant. Two kids were peeping in from the glass door curious to experience the ambience inside. They were shoved away and mercilessly beaten on the road. This incident gave birth to one of poetry collections Ek Baat Teri Ek Baat Meri, which is a unique collection of poetry by two minds, one emotional and one philosophical."

Aww... Thanks for sharing the article. Very bad on part of the restaurant people to beat the boys just becoz they were peeping !
Though I am not interested in reading poems but surely this incident has generated my interest to read this collection. Lets see if I can get my hands on this poem collection ! 😛
