Hide & Seek...
Tip toeing, on the tiled floor Swara reached behind the barrier which separates her from him, holding her breath, tugging her head down, she hid behind the three foot sofa as her ears caught with his fainted footsteps.
"You know you can't hide from me for long time." A low chuckle resonated in the air, as he took a predatory steps further into the floor as his eyes scanning every inch of his ambiance. "In anyways I'll find you." Swara pressed her palm over her mouth to compress the sigh which is threatening to escape.
"Come on my pussy, puss. Where are you.??" He scurried, lowering his hight, he crossed under the staircase.
Sweat forming on her face, sprawling, crawling, reached the corridor, which takes her to the other side of the house. "Haa haan... Too bad for my pussy. Hiding your beautiful face from me, Haan!!!" Swara's lean figure flee behind the pillars, camping herself behind it. Her throbbing heart making her situation worse, as his sneaking footsteps nearing her, her eyes landed on the door Which is opposite of her, his study room, where she assume his precious vault must be. One sprint will be enough for her to reach it. Her mind calculated the distance and the speed which required for. Wiping her forehead, she advanced from her hideout, sprinting towards her target, was hauled by a strong arms around her waist, which pinned her back against the strong muscles. Her mouth was sealed by a clammy palm. Her heart thumping at her throat as an anxiety peaking out her nerves. She squirmed brushing her back over a hard muscles, someone's chest. Tilting her head to her right, cocking her head up, her trembling gaze met with an intense one, looking down at her, hot chocolate milk whirl called orbs peering at her. Held backing her breath, Swara lost in the magnetic field.
Feeling her chock against his palm, his hand slides down her mouth, held her by crossing it over her shoulder below her neck. "God Swara, breath." Her lungs obliged, she exhaled deeply, in taking the oxygen, releasing the carbon dioxide out of her system. Breaking her trance on the way.
"What are doing.??" She asked him aware of their situation, unaware of their circumstances.
"Hmmm.." he drawled, "rectifying the situation." His words fanned over her ear. Evoking her nerves, making her hair to stood upright at her nape.
"Situation!!!" She gushed, burying her back further into his chest.
"I'm helping you." A scowl formed on her face.
"Helping in what??? You held me from running. Now he'll catch me." She whispered, under his jaws. Feeling his grip tightening over her.
"I was helping you, you got to trust me." His voice vibrated over her hairs, making her to squirm more in his hold.
"Okay I trust you, now leave me." In all her braveness, she uttered those words, finding her long lost strength to pull his hands off her. Her efforts were lost, as he effortlessly pulled her back on to him, a loud gasp left her lips. As she felt his pounding heart against her back. His hands slowly painfully trailed up her neck. Cupped her mouth.
"Shh... he'll find us." His whisper over her ears, she closed her eyes as his hot breath fanned over her already heated skin. Closing her eyes, lapsing on him. Adjusting her head over his shoulder. Standing there still, enjoying each other's present.
"Chachu..." A holler of a preteen boy voice startled them. Turning their head to their left side, there stood a boy wearing a blue jean, and red tee. A distraughtness etched on his face.
They blinked at him, not knowing their proximity. "You are holding my bff, in a very inappropriate manner." This remark from him, made them to pull apart. Sanskaar hauled his hand back, pushing her out of him.
"I was keeping her from running." Swara turned to look at him, who's eyes were on the boy. Making his best not to make him angry anymore.
"Okay," Aryan said as he walked over to her, held her hand in his, walked away from Sanskaar taking Swara with him. Swara's eyes landed on the man, who made her nerves to work fast just with his breath over her skin, with an anger flooding eyes.
He simply stood there watched his nephew taking her away from him. His eyes were on the girl, who sow this unusual feel in him. Controlling his breath. He watched her angry glare, not knowing what to do he ran his hand over his hairs.
--------
Swara sat over the lid of the toilet seat, placing her tab on her lap, waiting for the video call to connect to her boss. "Hey Bose woman. How are you??" Her boss answered her call with a second ring, "Any information." He asked dryly as he rubbed his hands over his eyes, wiping the sleep away.
"No.. what about the chip. I have." Swara asked while checking the tap which is filling the bucket.
"Its just waste babe, we need more information about him. So no improvement in your spying." He spoke, pretense dripping in his each words.
"Yo man Adarsh, you know acting memory loss isn't easy as it sound. I have to remind myself about this." She spat at him. While rubbing her neck, 'i need to get a stand for this tab.' she said to herself. "And this Sanskaar, he is cunning, I have to culminate his actions. It is not definitely easy." She yelled at her bluetooth which is hanging on her ear.
"It's nearly one month Shona, I shouldn't have sent you there." Rubbing his temple, he looked at her. "He'll find about you faking memory loss."
"I'm acting good, actually great, he believes me." She squealed.
"Okay you have another few days, you finish the work or not you're coming back to me." He gave his orders. "Safely." He added.
"I have found where is his secret vault is, today morning even I tried to break into it, but that psycho killer stopped me." She bit her lips remembering his hands on her, his breath all over her face and neck.
"Do you get me." Her boss voice broke her dreamy trance.
"Pardon me.." A sharp sigh heard through the device in her ear.
"Don't do anything stupid. Don't risk your life, this thing, its not worth your life, he might look cool but he is very dangerous." His voice was filled with concern and love.
"Look Adarsh I can do this, you got to trust me." She mentioned.
"All I want is your safe." Her salute for him made him to smile. "You know how important you're to me." She nodded. They were friends from school days and its continuing, he was with her in her ups and downs, in her smile and in her griefs. He was the one who helped her to get with her parents death. He was more like a brother to her. After his father's death, she is the only one who he have, got. Adarsh smiled at her.
"I have an idea." She got a scowl on her face when he said idea.
"What idea.??" She trailed off slowly.
"Make him fall for you."
"What??" She spat almost immediately.
"Make Sanskaar Maheswari to fall for you. It'll be easy for us to." He said casually.
"No way, I'm not doing that." She hollered.
"Why not??"
"What I'm looking like to you??? A wh**e." She literally bit her bluetooth device. "I didn't signed for this Mr. Adarsh Metah."
"Look we don't have any other way. You better return to our dorm. I'll send someone for that job." He needs to corner her, he wants her, he needs her by his side.
"You used the same trick with lucky. What we got, nothing." She spat again.
"Lucky is just his minion. Now your target is King himself."
"Exactly, I'm scared of him." She lowered her head, "he is different." It was a low whisper which failed to reach her boss ears.
"Then come back Swara. I can deal with this." Closing her eyes, inhaling deeply, his images slowly emerged from the darkness, with the killer smile on.
"I'm doing this." Not giving any heed to her boss, she cut the call, closed the tap walked out of the washroom.
Somewhere in the house, a lean frame standing near the floor to ceiling windows, watching the waxing moon, his hands were into his pocket, a headset on his ears. His eyes watched the moon with an evil smirk, he recalled the conversation which he had heard few minutes before. Which gave him the hint of her motive for her actions. His microphone received every single words that have been exchanged, even her low whisper 'he is different.' removing the headset from his head. He smile widened. "I'm ready Swara."
------
Walking out of her room Swara running down the stairs. Was fall back as she bumped on the strong muscular chest near the end of the stairs.
"Ouch... Sorry.. I.." was stopped as her eyes caught with the person's face. A dark black orbs looking down at her with full hatred.
"I... I... Wasn't.." her stammer was stopped by a loud scream of a boy..
"Lucky chachu.." Aryan came running down the stairs, hugged Lucky.
"My boy how are you.??" Ruffling his nephew's hairs, smiling wide at him.
"I'm good chachu," Aryan jumped a little. "Chachu meet my BFF. Swara." Lucky's soft eyes harden while it landed on her. "Swara this my other chachu lucky aka Laksh." Holding her hand out for him, Swara smiled.
"Nice to meet you lucky." Half mind, Laksh slammed his hand with her, with a shake he climbed the few stairs, leaving the two to chatter.
Aryan dragged Swara out of the house to a mall, Swara turned her head to see a man who was her boyfriend few months ago. Laksh turned his head to see her at the same time. Turning her head, Swara rushed out of the house with Aryan.
------
"Do you know what you were doing Sanskaar?" An elderly male voice boomed in the room, as he paced up and froth calculating the possibility of his work. "How can you bring her to our house.?"
"I'm very well aware of my actions." He said as he glanced through the glass wall of his office room, shoving his hands into his pant pockets. Watching the miniature vehicles moving around the tar road.
"She is faking the memory loss, have you aware off this." A man of mid twenties voiced interrupting him, his very words laced with acrimony. Gained a glare from the man himself.
"I'm not you lucky, I know, the minute I walked into her room, in hospital." Sanskaar spat, not turning his head to look at him.
"Then why are you waiting for, finish her." Sanskaar closed his eyes in annoyance for his cousins impulsive nature.
"Shut up Laksh." Laksh slammed his fist on the wall behind him for his father shutting him up and exit the room without other word.
Durga Prasad walked towards Sanskaar who's back was to his view. "Just think about everything." With that he walked out of the room leaving the man to debate himself.
"What are you doing to me??" Running his hand through his hair. "Why the hell I can't stay away from you.?? Why I feel like I'm in need of you.??... Why???" Craning his neck up, facing the ceiling, closing his eyes, reminiscing his moments with her. His own body flushed beneath her's, against the pillar. She smelled so beautiful. She reminds him of one person, his mother.
-----
After finishing their shopping, Swara Aryan and his mother Nirmala tabbing out of the shop, to get food. Crossing the hallway reached the corridor. Aryan took his mother to buy him a watch, Swara left with following behind them, a sudden pull, jerking, she was hauled and pinned on the wall in fire exit passage, was surprised to see her boss raged face.
"You.." she yelled in relief at the same time in anger. "You scared me." She slapped him on his shoulder.
"You scared me too lady," releasing her from his grip. "No phone calls after that," he ran his hands through his hairs, "I came here to warn you," cupping her face, "don't do anything stupid. That psychopathic killer is dangerous." His voice was filled with solitude, tenderly care and love.
"I can take care of that." Her voice was firm and confident. She spoke looking into his eyes.
"You don't get me Swara," dipping his head down, inhaling deeply, "you mean so much to me." He sounded desperate, longingness etched in his action, "I need you Swara, the way I need.." he was stopped by her, hearing Aryan voice calling her.
"I need to go Adarsh I'll call you later." She ran away before he could finish his words.
Trudging through the corridor, was stopped on her tract seeing the man in front of her, with beige colour suit, matching with white Lenin shirt, first two buttons were undone. Smiling sweetly at her.
"Surprised Swara.. to see me here." She was astonished with the way he said her name, naturally rolled on his tongue. Shaking her head.
"It's not my fault Mr.Maheswari. you don't seem like a family type, man." It was a clear tease from her, knowing well about the inner meaning of her words, Sanskaar smiled.
"You knew me for a while Miss Bose." Taking a step towards her, "eventually you'll learn about me." It was clear treat, with a sweet smile. They stood glaring each other. Was interrupted by Aryan who's pulling him towards the food court.
Sitting in a round table, eating in pure silent, except the ramble of Aryan and constant hum of Nirmala. Uneasiness filling over her with his scrutinize, Swara felt a bile form in her stomach. Decided to cross her spoon.
"Eat, Swara. You didn't eat this morning. it was Nirmala, voiced next to her.
"I'm really not hungry, she whispered.
His eyes narrowed at her.
"I would really like you to finish your lunch, Miss Bose. it's more over an order from him, with a serious face. His lips in a hard line.
"I told you I'm not hungry." She said as her voice stern.
"We are not leaving until you empty your plate." Finishing his food, he crossed his hands over his chest.
"What is it with you and food? she bellowed. His brow knits.
"I have issues with wasting food. He snaps. His eyes are dark, pained. "Am I made it clear to you." Snapping his fingers, "Now finish it." Cursing him under her breath, Swara picking up the fork and took a mouthful, slowly, trying to chew. She was careful not to choke, and made a self note not to eat with him if he's going to be strict about food. His expression softens as she carefully make her way through her food.
------
Walking in the garden, trying to focus herself into the book which she was reading past one hour not able finish a page. Her mind was reeling with her plot to conquer Sanskaar Maheswari, was still in her stock. Now laskya Maheswari was handful, giving her tough to maintain her peace of mind. Nagging, passing weird profanities, scowling expressions. Nevertheless about his glares.
"Reading Ahh." Hearing a voice she dropped on her way back to the reality. Lifting her head, there he was standing in front of his car. Gray suit, matching black shirt with black tie. All ready for office.
"Ahh.. not really." She took her steps which leads her to him. "Just trying to pass, time." She waved her hands in the air.
"Why don't you come to my office Swara.??" He said watching her carefully, "it'll be easy for you." Her face changed from curiosity, to an excitement, not knowing the reason behind his offer. "Pass the time." Absorbing the serious tone in his voice, raising her eyebrows.
"Why do you want me to be there in your office.??" It was her hard side which is still in her control, rather like her subconscious, which always in the la la Land. Dreaming.
"Curiosity killed the bird Miss Bose." Putting the shade in his eyes, "Be ready at four." Was interrupted by her.
"If so I wanted to run an interview, you, Mr.Maheswari." taking a few steps to him, "I wanted to question you." Rubbing his thumb nail over his forehead.
"Then this will be my first interview Miss Bose. Be ready at four my chauffeur will pick you up." She nodded. He climbing into the car, drove off the driveway.
-----
Getting out of the car, which was stopped in front of a big double glass doors. Thanking the diver, walking further into the portico, entering through the double door, stepped into the hard gray marbled foyer, reaching the lobby. Waiting for the receptionist to finish her phone conversation. Meanwhile letting her eyes to take the look of this spacious office of a vicious man. It was floored by a gray marble, walls have been painted in pure white, sculptures were pasted in white on it. Chairs and tables were in a theme of white and gray.
"What can I do Miss." Receptionist voice broke her admiration. Turning her head back to the beautiful lady seating behind the long white counter.
"I'm Swara Bose, I have an appointment with Mr.Sanskaar Maheswari." Her voice was confident and firm, keeping her head straight she answered the lady.
"Excuse me ma'am." She checked the system for reference. Smiling, lifting her head.
"You're expected Miss Bose. Please take that right, there you'll find an elevator, floor no. 7" thanking her Swara walked towards the direction given to her. Reaching the corridor, at the end there stood an elevator. Long spiral crystal chandelier was hanging from the ceiling along the corridor.
Pressing the button, waited for the elevator. The bell rang, door slide opened. There stood a man of late forties. "What are you doing here.?" His voice boomed.
"Just visiting Sa." Gaining a glare, "Mr.Maheswari." shake of his head Durga Prasad walked out of her sight. Getting into the elevator, pressing 7. The door closed in front of her, whisked her up the 7 floors. Opening, revealed an another corridor. Stepping out, walked down the corridor, reached another lobby, this was smaller than the first one. Its with a theme of white, only white. Young man at the age of mid twenties, smiling at her, behind the counter.
"Miss Bose??." She nodded, "You can walk through that double doors." Thanking him Swara did as she was told, walking through that double doors.
First thing got her attention was the settings sun behind the large desk which was placed just above the glass wall. Not realizing that the room was empty, she stood there for few minutes, admiring the city, soaked in crimson light of the setting sun.
"Ohh I'm sorry." He walked out of an another door. Turning her head to her left, saw him walking towards her, He looks so casually elegant. She paused her breath, fractionally too long, drinking in the sight of him. his coat was not on him, gray formal fannel pant hung from his hips, fitted black shirt, his tie was gone, two buttons were off at the top of his shirt. "Did I make you wait for long." Exhaling, shook her head,
"Its just few minutes." She smiled. "I'm Swara Bose." Extending her hands for him, giving him a polite, professional smile. He took his time to look at her, his eyes leisurely roving on her body, white fannel shirt, faded ripped blue jean. And a satchel hung from her left shoulder, he hair was twisted into a messy bun.
"Nice meeting you Miss Bose." He shakes his hand firmly without batting an eyelid. She has grown up confident and sure of her place in the world. She doesn't take any crap. But with him, she is all, but not herself.
"Thank you for taking the time to do this. She said, her voice stern and posing her courage. Though slightly blushed by his intense gaze.
"Please make yourself comfortable Miss Bose." Pointing the white couch in the center of his room, walking towards his chairs, made himself comfortable on.
"Soo ready." She asked, clasping her hands in excitement.
"My first interview." Her eyes gleamed with amusement with the way his face held a soft smile, unaware of the ghost in front of her.
"I hope you won't get offended with my questions." It was just a warning from her.
"We are speaking business Miss Bose." she nodded, watching his features, he is there, irresistibly sitting on an execute chair, pressing his elbows over the armrest, clamped hands, fingers pressed over his thin pink lips by his index fingers, his merciless eyes scrutinizing her every actions, slashing her restrain.
Swara dipped her head down to look at the satchel, wetting her lips, "I have prepared some questions Mr.Maheswari, hope you will answer with all honesty." Snapping her eyes finishing her line, meeting with his dark gaze intently watching her. 'adarsh what you have put me in.' she mentally cursed her boss.
His eyes moved to the satchel which is on her lap "This is you Miss Bose." fixing his steady gaze on hers, "I can never lie to you." His voice was deep husky matching his gaze. She squirmed over the chair as her stomach weaved a sweater itself.
She pushed those butterfly off of her stomach, fixing her gaze in the papers, "Your business deals about." Her voice was professional as she finally fixing her gaze on his, posturing herself stronger.
"We deal with construction, shipping..." A knowing smile formed on her lips as her eyes trailed over the next question.
"Construction okay I get it." She leaned on the backrest as her elbows resting on the armrest, "but shipping, why don't you enlighten me." Her smirk was dropped by his, he leaning on the desk, placing his left hand on the table, his right elbow balanced over the table, his face supported by his steepled hands.
"Shipping, there are many divisions Miss Bose. it's hard to pinpoint." She mimicked his actions, cupping her chin, rubbing her thumb over her cheek.
"Electrical and electronic goods," he nodded. "Clothes," he passed an assented smile, "Tinned food, preserved meats." A blink as her answer. "May be some weapons." A fleeting amused look on his eyes, she saw it, he covered it well with his stoicism.
"You assume a lot Miss Bose."
"Sometimes assumption turns to be real Mr.Maheswari." his lips twitched up to a smile.
"Soo you work under your uncle."
"No, my uncle works for me." A smugness formed on his face with her dumbfounded look.
"Taking lives is a sin Mr.Maheswari. Why it never reached your senses." Her sudden spat made him back off from the playful demeanor.
"That's sacrifice Miss Bose. I'm fighting against the world." He said as a matter of fact.
"Sacrifice!!!" She spat, staggered by his lack of humanity.
"I don't like playing nice Miss Bose. it's do or die. I have responsibility. I employ over sixty thousand people, Miss Bose. If I were to decide I was no longer interested in the leather business and sell it up, more than twenty thousand people would struggle to make their kids supper." His voice was intimidatingly deep, as he dictated those words looking into her eyes. Her mouth drops open, as a shiver ran along her bones.
"So killing is the solution." She drawled anger lacing in her words.
"It's about a cow or humans and their kids."
"You were talking about a cow.???" He nodded briefly for her baffle.
"I'm dealing with leather business too Miss Bose." He snickered, she rolled her eyes. His eyes flashed with an anger.
"Don't roll you're eyes at me, Miss Bose. It isn't a good way to treat a man like me." Suddenly his voice doomful, sending a shock waves along her spine.
Forcing the bile, pushing it back into her stomch "Sorry." She trailed off, was pulled back from her question as his dark brown eyes doing it's work again, she stifle herself from chewing her lower lip, with the way it's moving on her, "Soo you never killed a human in your life Mr Ma..." he stopped her pointing his finger.
"I won't deal with people. It's my uncle's job Miss Bose." His wink hitched her breath than his revelation.
"Any more questions Miss Bose." Biting her inner cheek, she nodded.
"Ahh.. in one article, you mentioned that how worse your childhood was, that you faced everything, mostly hunger." She lifted her head to face him, he has this amusing expression. "It's dated 14th October 2016." She smiled.
"You googled me." She shrugged for his amused arched eyebrows.
"Yes Mr.Maheswari." her smiled widened at her last word, matching his playful smile.
"Yes Miss Bose, my father was a chauffeur, uhh for this one businessman. Our life was normal until one day my father was got arrested for his boss illegal activities, banished from my life. Few months later officials brought my father packed in white cloth, placed him on the floor. Informed my mother that he was committed suicide." He took a glass from his table took a sip, placed it on the table. Swara left with no words, she sat there watched him with tears forming eyes.
"End of that year I lost my mother to malaria. I was left to stay with my uncle." Loosening his collar, he leaned his back against the backrest. Rubbing his thumb over his stubble, "I have experienced everything Miss Bose, I have spent my days starving." He said as a matter of fact, knowing well that how his past had an effect on her.
"How old were you.??" It was a whisper from her, though it reached his ears.
"I was 8." He bragged, his voice was strong and deep.
"That's Soo cruel." She gasped letting a lone tear drop from her eyes.
He mildly smiled at her, "Yeah Miss Bose, world is soo cruel. We have to make it as our play ground, I think I got my justice." His demeanor diverged, as a hubristic smile etched I his eyes and lips, as his eyes watched her expression changing from sad to rage, her breath became slow and steady, contemplating his attitude towards her.
Knitting her eyes brows together, Swara lowered her head debating herself to voice out her thought or not, "Anything wrong Miss Bose."
Taking a sip of her glass of water. Swara placing it on the coffee table, lifting her head to face him. "Why I feel something fishy about you Mr.Maheswari.??" He pursed his lips, twitching the left edge to form a smile.
"How do I know Miss Bose?!" his eyes were glinting with teasing smile, "May be it's the journalism in you." Seeing her silent self, "Next question please." It was more like a mockery, his words.
"Are..You... ever... Dated... Before." Her mind was not registering what her mouth were spelling, she just read it out from the paper. As realization hit harder, biting her lips, she lifted her head to face her ghost, who's face is glistening with a ghost of a smirk, making her to curse her inner soul which is screaming behind her head with a shake of his head.
"No, Miss Bose. I never dated before." His answer was simple, she sighed as a relief washed over her veins.
"May I know why.???" Her question earned a raise of his eyebrow. His lips quirk up in a half smile.
"I don't trust women. Miss Bose." she scrunched her face in pure anger. As a scowl found it's place in her face.
"You're blaming a whole race Mr.Maheswari." her accusation made him to raise his hands up in surrender.
"It's just my acquaintance... From past... Miss Bose." Lowering her head, she nodded.
"I really don't know who was behind your hatred towards the.. whole race." Her voice was low, busted as she murmured into her mouth, emphasizing the last two words, which includes her too, scurrying her eyes through the satchel.
"Not everyone Miss Bose." her brows arched up in disapproval, that her own voice betrayed her. It reached his ears.
"I don't believe," clasping her hands over her mouth, "I said that loud." She mumbled as she blinked at him. He smiled seeing her cheeks turn pink.
"There are some, who still gain my trust." He gave her a full yet genuine smile, an audible gasp escapes her lips. Making it harder for him to held back himself on the chair, watching the crimson forming near the edge of the cheeks, spreading throughout.
Sighing, casting her gaze down at the papers "Any social activities Mr.Maheswari."
"Yes Miss Bose I'm running a hunger campaign. And I have invested in promoting woman's education."
'Superb, killing spree, donating money,' She murmured putting all her hatred in her words, though it reached his ears, his smile grew wider. He wanted to give her hint about him knowing her act.
"One last question Mr Maheswari." He gave a nod indicating her to proceed with.
"Do you have any enemies." A sneaker resonated the room. "If.." she added.
"I don't have any enemies Miss Bose. Because I won't leave a trail behind." She raised her eyebrows. "Like you said, if... I have an enemy, I would like to praise his or her," he said looking at her, pursing his lips cocking an eyebrow, "audacity for choosing me as their enemy." A sweet smile embraced his lips, "I would love to keep them under my nose Miss Bose." She squinted her eyes, he checked his watch. "It's past eight." He said getting up from his seat, pulling the coat over his black shirt, fixing his stealthy gaze on the woman who is murmuring and collecting the papers, schooled in her own world.
Swara gathered her thoughts from his words, picking the every piece of her heart which was scattered on the marble floor, with his indirect rejection. Collected the papers pushed it into the satchel. Murmuring some profane words into her mouth carefully, not wanting to reach his ears. She doesn't want to turn red out of embarrassment eminently for the umpteenth time.
"Shall we." He stand in front of her, holding his hand out for her to go first, walking past, she smiled back at him. Swara made her way of the room, down the corridor, knees shaky, stomach filled with butterflies, lifting her head up at him, her eyes caught with the playful smile of him as he walked along with her brushing his hand over her's, passably. Swara stopped at the exit, waited for him to guide her to the elevator. She jerked sensing his hand on her lower back, "This way Miss Bose." Guiding her to the elevator.
"Want a ride to home." They walk together down the corridor to the elevators. What should she say to him? Her mind is suddenly paralyzed with apprehension. "Miss Bose." His soft, warm voice startles her from her reverie.
"Yes.. please." Her voice sounded alien to her as she spoke with the air in her lungs.
Looking down at her, raising his eyebrows, "Ahh I asked you do you need a ride to home." She shook her head.
"My friend promised me a ride back home. Sir." She said hoping to see her friend, not this strange businessman, who makes her nerves weak, turning her bones into ashes just with the way he look at her. She wanted to wave her hands over her face, she is getting hot. Their proximity, the thought of her alone with this man in elevator.
"Just a friend." He asked her, his voice laced with authority. Made her to squint her eyes.
"Just friend." She replied, looking down at her own feet. She can't held his scrutinizing watch though she is not a meek, but he makes her one.
"Hmm, he replies, equivocally. At the elevators, he presses the call button, and the bell rings almost immediately. The doors slide open revealing a spacious room for them to travel down the floors. They stepped into the elevator. Swara struggling to maintain a straight face, gazing down at the floor, feeling her cheeks turning pink, with his eyes on her's.
Sanskaar enjoyed the way she squirming with his gaze, he has a hint of a smile on his lips. Not bothering to talk, just starring each other. Passing some awkward smiles. The elevator stopped, the door slide opened, revealing the enormous waiting room, indicating them that there journey to the ground was over. Stepping out, they walked in silence, down the corridor, taking left towards the foyer.
Sanskaar stopped and turned to see her, "Are you sure, your friend is coming." Swara peeked up at him through her lashes, he is looking straight at her with an impassive face, she nodded.
"I'm sure sir, I can count on him." She said, rubbing her hands over her Jean.
"Then, I'll take my leave now." He said, looking at his watch.
Swara, holding her hands out, "It's a great pleasure.. meeting you, and thanks for the interview." She beamed at him, shaking her shoulder reflexing her happy mood.
Locking his hand in her's, "The pleasure is mutual Miss Bose." Pressing it little onto her's, "See you then." With that he walked through the large glass double doors.
Her wait was lasted for few minutes, a BMW i8 floated on the driveway stopped in front of her, the man in driver seat signalled her to come in, opening the passenger door. Swara clambered in. Clipping the seat belt. Resting her back on the back rest.
Setting the car on the road, Sanskaar glanced her, who's eyes were closed. "Soo.. how was your interview." He asked her, shifting the gear.
"It was good." Swara hummed, making herself straight.
"How was your day.??" He smiled.
"It was great." Turning the wheels to left. "How was he??" Swara squinted her eyes not understanding his words.
"How was who???" She asked.
"Md of Maheswari inc. what do you think about him.??" She gulped.
"You really wanted to know what I think about him." He nodded.
"He is hmmm... You won't tell him right." He snickered.
"I won't."
"He is a high-handed controlling freak." He laughed.
"Really" she nodded. "Anything else about him."
"I don't know how much I'm sure about, he is yearning for." She stopped. Sanskaar turned to face her.
"For.." he forced her to finish her line.
"For love." This word made a major transformation on him, his jaw clenches, but his face remains impassive. Like she transgressed.
"Do you always make such personal observations? he snapped back, keeping his eyes on the road.
"I'm sorry if I offended you, I know I crossed the limit, but you asked me." She gushed, he looks out of the corner of his eyes down at her. She smiled, and his lips twitch.
"It's okay Miss.." was stopped by her hand on his over the gear.
"It's Swara. Whenever you call me Miss Bose I feel like I was with that strange man. Who makes my nerves go chill." She shrugged as chill ran over her spine.
"He affects you." She nodded. "In a good way or bad way."
"In a very bad way." She said frankly. He looked at her, she squirm under his gaze. "Why are you looking at me, like that."
"It gives me some sort of clue what you might be thinking, he breathes, keeping his gaze fixed on the road. "Something in you attracts me Miss Bose, making it impossible for me to stay away from you." Swara gaped at his words, eyes wide turning into a two saucers. "I think it's your daredevil nature, he murmurs. "Or your smile, may be the way you speak with me without any fear." 'Wow... how am I managing that?' her subconscious screaming in joy. This was bewildering for her. "Or the way you blush, I just wish I knew what you were blushing about. He pops a small smile out of his mouth, not taking his eyes off the road. She didn't have the courage to say a word neither to lift her head look at him.
"Do you listening to me, Swara." He said.
"Yes. she answered truthfully. "I really don't know, how you make my spine to shiver, in both ways." She said quietly, looking at him. He raises his eyebrows and, she was not mistaken, he flushes slightly too.
"I'm used to getting my own way. he murmurs. "almost all things. He said, she watched him through the corner of her eyes.

Roaming around the dinning table, Swara placed the placemats, helping Nirmala to set the table for dinner.
"Bhabhi can ask you something, about Sanskaar." Nirmala nodded lifting her head up.
"Why he hate women.??" She spilled it out, those words which nagged her mind for days.
Nirmala stopped working with her dishing, lifting her head, facing Swara, "I'm not in a right place to tell you that Swara." Resuming to her work, "you have to ask devarji ji." With that she walked away.
-----
It's been an hour after having that awkward dinner with Maheswari's Swara pacing in her room not having a mind to sleep. Walking over to the window, she glanced down, there a man working with the shrubs around the garden. Deciding to join him she walked out of her room.
"Need a helping hand." Sanskaar turned back, smiling at her he turning, he continued to dig the soil.
"I will prefer that." Smiling for his words she walked towards him, kneeling down next to him.
"What I have to do.??" She asked glancing around her. He continued to dig the ground.
"Take that cover." He pointed his chin at some packages next to her. She nodded, helding one in her hands. "It's a fertilizer, I need to you, spill that here." He pointed the pit, she nodded.
"Soo feeding the hunger." She teased him, as her hands worked in undone the pack. A chuckle was all she got as her answer.
"It's Jasmine shrub." He pointed the white flower which was bloomed at the top of the shrub.
"I accept I have zero experience in planting." Taking some of fertilizer in her hands, spilled at the pit. He shuffled the soil, poured some water, closed the pit. They continued to treat all the plants in the garden.
After finishing with the last plant, Sanskaar rooted on his legs, dusting his hands. With a contented smile on his face. Swara found this as an opportunity to ask him the question which is nagging her for a week since her interview with him.
"If I ask you a question." She stopped to gather her strength, Sanskaar looked down at her. "You won't get mad." He squint his eyes.
"I won't." Though he gave his word.
"Why you hate women.??" She asked in one breath, closing her eyes.
"Not everyone." He said.
"I want the reason." There was this silent, nothing was hearable other than, wind and their breathing.
"I was played, molested, back stabbed by women. Miss Bose." He suppressed her name to gain her attention, she lifted her head.
"Molested." she whispered, watched him, he had this face, not giving any of his emotions to her, not even a distraught.
"It took everything in me to trust you." He said, his lips formed a hard thin line, impassively as usual. Kneeling on the ground, gaping at his retreating figure, debating herself what he has said to her. What he means by those words. Swara left with dumbfounded mind, lack of words.
-------
"What I'm now, is because of a girl." His words stopped her on her midway. "She laughed at me for what I was, insulted my love because I'm poor." She turned to face him. "That's the moment, I realized money is everything." His face is unreadable, not giving any of his emotions, out.
"Because of a girl you wanted to conquer the world." Swara baffled, taking a reasonable steps which takes her to him. "Because of that heartless girl you took many lives." Tears trolling down her face. "Because of her you made yourself unfit for this world." By the time the last word spilled out of her mouth, she was in front of him just a step away from him.
His eyes caught with her emotional whirlwind, her eyes. Pouring out all her emotions into him. "If you stay in my life," he stopped, tugging his hands into his pockets not wanting to feel her burning skin against it. "I'll do anything." notwithstanding his gaze Swara lowered her head, taking a step towards her, but still keeping a few inches distant, "I'll leave everything behind, I'll come clean for you." His voice was husky deep, the depth of his words brought her gaze to his, his eyes glinting with unshed tears. "I promise." He added seeing her unsure look.
Swara closed her eyes letting his words sink within her, lifting her head up, "Kiss me." It didn't take a second for him to cup her cheeks, which his hands died for, running his thumbs over her pink cheeks.
"Are you sure." She nodded, leaning his head down, taking her lips in his, closing the gap, by pulling her to him. Kissed her gently, pouring his love for her, placing a feathery kisses over her lips.
"I... Trust... You.." those three words from her, in between their kisses, made him to pull back, he looked down at her, holding her face in his hands, his thumb rubbing her lower lip. A gratitude smile etched his lips. Craning her head up, Swara captured his lips into a passionate kiss.
Screaming Swara jerked from her sleep, all sweating. Her room door dashed opened, ran in the man, who she kissed in her dreams. Blinking at him, she drank a glass of water which was offered by him.
Yeah I need to seek an apology, for this delay, whenever I say I finish it soon, I found myself locked in a room full of work loads, sorry for my bad luck. And I totally forgotten about eid and last minute shopping. Phew.
At first I thought I can make it with humor, but I changed and made them to fall in love.
The last part was just her dream. If you want you can use it. In future. I'll be happy to see him as a passionate lover. He he he, fangirl Haan.
Hope you enjoyed if not extremely sorry.
