My theory says that in the past Laksh dated Mansi. After many years he met her again, when Mansi did a fake natak that she was pregnant then and Mishti is his daughter. She emotionally blackmails him and Laksh in need to become a god father decides to be with Mansi and give Mishti father's love. Since he was well aware that Ragini is searching him, hence he does fake deaths natak. They may show that Mishti is only Mansi daughter and not Laksh. But only for her means she lies to Laksh and Mishti both.
