Nimmi my dear 🤗🤗
I am simply gobsmacked at the pointlessness of this track yaar. I mean...sheesh. I know, we aren't supposed to look for too much rationality and realism in telly serial land. But still, a modicum of logic for a particular track? Would that be too much to ask for?
You know my views on the resurrected/ zombie Cavity track. 😕 They should have left Kavita to be just a pleasant memory of a past love in a corner of Sanskaar's mind. But No! They turned Kavita to Cavity 🤢 😡, and brought her back as a full fledged, conniving, murderous vamp. All concepts of subtlety and nuance flung out of the nearest window. Why do they need to introduce villains in such illogical revivals, beats me.
But perhaps even that, pales against this utterly pointless track currently being railroaded through. I mean, they could have shown so many scenarios here. Of Shomi and Shekar taking a stand that this baby was theirs, and that they should decide what to do. Not Dadi, and certainly not AP/ Sujju. Everyone has the right to give their opinion, but at the end of the day, its their call as parents.
If Shekar and Shomi weren't able to take this matter of fact decision on their own, they could have shown SwaSan & RagLak teaming up to knock some much needed sense into the Maheshwaris and the Gadodias. God knows, they need it!
I would have loved to witness a scene where Swara angrily accused Ragini of playing with the family's emotions----and then found out why Ragini had been pretending to be pregnant. The sisters could have had a very emotional scene there---with Swara's attempted apology to Ragini, being swept aside by Ragini herself. Who could have said that those harsh words were nothing compared to the multitude of sins which she had committed against Swara (and Sanskaar) in the past, but for which she was completely repentant, and wanted to atone for.
As we've discussed before, I find Ragini a very compelling character, with a lot of intriguing layers and shades to her personality. I always rued the fact that she was never given a redemption track which was really needed----showing her deep remorse and quest to expiate herself fully. They missed so many opportunities for this, at least they could have used this track? Its not a small thing at all, for any lady to pretend to be pregnant, running the risk of most severe opprobrium from her in laws. For both Shomi and Swara, this willingness on Ragini's part could have been shown to remove the last vestiges of reserve, the last remnants of a wariness somewhere in a corner of their minds (though they'd already forgiven Ragini). Instead, they had to show Shomi suffering a miscarriage. Sheesh. 😕 😡
I think I've rambled on and on. 😆 😉 So I'll stop here. But I agree with you completely----what a half baked, ill thought out, and hurried end to a track. Made it look completely futile. 😕
Lots of Love,
