MOMENTS TO CHERISH

"What took you so long to return this late today? Your princess slept after being tired of waiting for you", Swara spoke in a disappointed tone while wrapping her arms around his neck from back when he was loosening his tie. Swara's last sentence formed lines of tension over Sanskar's face.

Removing Swara's hands carefully, he turned towards Swara placing his palm on Swara's check cupping her face saying, "Sorry Swara, today's meeting with Mr Gupta stretched for really long, this contract was really important for us and finally we got it...but you said Jiyana was waiting for me, she is okay na?", protective father in Sanskar asked to Swara which effected to appear a sweet smile on her face seeing how caring Sanskar was as a father.

He indeed was a caring husband too, not a slightest doubt in that but after Jiyana's birth, Sanskar had became more protective about Jiyana which always made Swara more and more proud on Sanskar.

"Haan baba, she is alright, don't worry", Swara assured him smilingly giving a sweet peck on Sanskar's cheek and blushed on her own act. Sliding his hands encircling Swara's waist, Sanskar pulled her closer with naughtiness evident in his eyes and a smirk playing on his lips.

He said, "So my wife is becoming romantic, huh?". Swara's face turned more red hearing Sanskar's statement. She buried her face in crook of his neck blushing more furiously. Sanskar smiled at his shy wife's cuteness. Even after three years of their marriage and having a two year old daughter, he still had the same effect on her.

Swara pulled herself out of the hug realising that he must hadn't eaten anything and he must be hungry. She said, "You must be hungry na, you go and freshnup, I will serve the dinner". Sanskar nodded positively. Sanskar stopped Swara by holding her hand as she turned to go. "Tumne bhi khaya to nahi hi hoga right", he asked Swara knowing his wife too well.

Swara maintained silence looking at ground biting her lips. Sanskar shook his head looking at Swara and said, "Tum bhi na Swara, how many times I have told you not to wait for me, I may get late, but you need to have your food on time, already you are so weak...". He couldn't speak further as Swara pecked his lips lightly stopping him from scolding her more. Swara very well knew how to close Sanskar's mouth.

Sanskar stood there stunned by his shy wife's bold act cursing himself mentally for getting lost even into her light kiss. Stepping back, Swara smiled naughtily seeing quite Sanskar. Giving a proud smile, impressed with her own job, Swara slightly pushed him towards washroom saying, "Go and get fresh" while she almost ran from the room.

"This is cheating, Swaraaa, You always do this, it is not fair". Sanskar complained like a baby while trying to hold her smiling at his wife's cute antics but she escaped. He went inside the washroom to freshnup when on the other side Swara went to kitchen to heat the food. Sanskar came and sat at the dining table where Swara was serving the dinner for him.

Sanskar held Swara's hand in a soft grip getting her staring in return at him in confusion. She raised her eyebrows asking him what he was doing. Pulling Swara a little, he made her sit properly on the chair besides him and said, "Sit here, we can serve for ourselves and without arguing anything eat quietly and properly with me" making Swara's lips to curve in a beautiful smile at her sweet husband's extra caring nature.

"So how was your day? Did my wife and my princess miss me?" Sanskar asked Swara while munching his food. "A lot", she answered him by stretching her hands wide showing how much they missed him.

"But I am telling you Sanskar, your pampered princess is getting naughtier day by day", Swara told him in a fake complaining voice.

Laughing at Swara's indirect hint at him indicating he is spoiling Jiyana, he said, "Not a word against my princess dear wifey, she is the sweetest, cutest and most adorable kid... just like you".

"Hawww, mai tumhe kid lagti hu?", Swara said while getting up from the chair while narrowing her eyes in cute anger at him as they almost finished their food.

Sanskar grinned widely at her saying again adding fuel to her already ignited fire of anger, "Of course, you are." The very next moment a pillow landed directly on Sanskar's face which Swara picked up from the nearby sofa and threw on him and lashed at him.

"Tum bohot bure ho, I am not talking to you", she said while turning to other side crossing her arms to her chest, standing there with the cutest frown and anger on her face.

Removing the pillow from his face, Sanskar walked towards Swara adoring the bundle of cuteness standing in front of him. Sometimes he himself wondered if she was a mother of a kid or she herself was one.

He made Swara to turn towards him by holding her shoulders and said staring deep into her eyes, "Kid ka to pata nahi, but in matter of sweetness, cuteness and adorableness she has gone on you only, my dear wifey" while pulling her cheeks. She looked at him for a while and burst out laughing giving up her fake anger. He wrapped his arms around her pulling her in a hug, he chuckled out saying, "You look more cute when you are angry" and received a playful smack on his chest by Swara.

Pulling her closer, he placed a kiss on her forehead and expressed his gratitude saying, "Thank you Swara, for coming into my life, for accepting me, for loving me and for blessing me with this sweet happy family with you and Jiyana".

Swara tightened her hold more on him hearing his honest confession. They both never did really need any words to communicate. They never needed a language to express their sacred and pure love for each other. They both knew what they meant for each other and how much they loved each other.

"Accha, if you are done with your romance, shall we go and sleep now? You have your office tomorrow na", Swara said while dragging him towards their bedroom reminding him about his work. He quietly let her do what she was doing.

Swara laid down on the right side of Jiyana. She placed a soft kiss on the forehead of Jiyana caressing her hairs softly taking care not to wake her up and soon she also slipped in deep slumber of sleep as she was really tired after working the whole day at home and playing with Jiyana. Sanskar smiled at the both angels in his life. Adjusting blanket properly in them, he placed an affectionate kiss on Jiyana's hairs lovingly while settling down besides her and he too dozed into deep slumber.

Next day:

Sanskar opened his eyes sheepishly feeling some weight on his body. He found Jiyana sitting on his stomach and giggling while making some cute noises. Sanskar held Jiyana protectively so that she would not fall down tickling his little one but with utmost care and asked, "So my princess woke up before daddy?." He got Jiyana's laughter in return as if understanding and agreeing her daddy's words.

He lifted her up while lying on his back. Little Jiyana was enjoying a lot seeing her dad's complete attention was on her. She was totally her papa's princess. She loved to be with him always. Getting up, Sanskar sat on the bed keeping Jiyana on the bed carefully. Jiyana walked near him taking her baby steps. She stood in front of him touching his light beard with her tiny, soft fingers.

Due to some unknown, strange reason, Jiyana had an unexplainable obsession and pull towards her papa's beard. She always used to cling on to him for touching his slightly rough beard with her soft and tiny fingers. As soon as she caressed his beard with her fingers, her little eyes started twinkling with happiness as if she had achieved the biggest thing in the world. She clapped her tiny palms together while giggling and said in her childish voice, "Pa...pa...papaa". Sanskar laughed at Jiyana's cute childish tone.

Cuddling her close to him, he rubbed his forehead against hers asking her to repeat again what she said, "Say it again princess" to which little angel started saying again and again while continuing her clapping session, "Pa...pa...pa.pa..." Sanskar absolutely loved hearing papa from Jiyana. It gave him immense pleasure as well as proud feeling of being called papa from his daughter, his essence.

Swara came to wake up Sanskar and Jiyana went awestruck seeing the adorable father daughter duo. Stepping inside the room, Swara said, "Chalo chalo, enough of the masti now, now get ready for the office." Both Sanskar and Jiyana replied by saluting her in the most funny yet cutest way saying, "Yes Mam" by Sanskar and Jiyana tried mimicking her papa stammering, "Ma...ma...maamaa" in her childish tone. Both Sanskar and Swara couldn't control but laughed at their daughter's antics. Jiyana also giggled witnessing her laughing parents.

"Ok ok, enough now, Sanskar you go and get ready fast, I will make breakfast till then, And Jiyana you stay here till papa gets ready ok, mumma will give Jiyana bath after papa gets ready, but till then no masti", Swara told Jiyana by pointing towards her knowing how naughty Jiyana was.

Swara in return of her order got Jiyana's clapping as if agreeing to her mumma nodding her head negatively making a cute face showing how innocent she was. Swara shook her head and placed a kiss on Jiyana's cheek and said, "Nautanki" before leaving for kitchen to prepare breakfast for them.

Sanskar laughed at Swara's nickname for Jiyana thinking it perfectly suits to his daughter. Getting up from the bed, Sanskar placed pillows around Jiyana properly taking care of she wouldn't fall from bed and he turned to go to the washroom but was stopped by Jiyana's hold on his shirt. Jiyana was looking sad because Sanskar was leaving her alone.

Sanskar sat on the bed and told, "Papa will come soon Jiyana. Okay till papa comes you watch your favourite cartoon".

Taking remote Sanskar played shinchan on TV, shinchan was specifically favourite cartoon of Jiyana and Swara as well. Sanskar smiled thinking how much Swara enjoys the shinchan with Jiyana being kid with Jiyana. Jiyana's little eyes filled with shine of happiness seeing her favourite shinchan.

"Aa...lu...pa...pa...aa...lu", Jiyana said in her childish voice causing Sanskar to laugh over heartedly hearing what Jiyana said. Placing a kiss on her hairs, Sanskar said, "I love you too princess."

Sanskar was about to leave for washroom when Swara entered inside to see if Sanskar had gone for bath or not and the next thing she did amazed Sanskar to zenith. She sat down besides Jiyana as soon as she glanced at Shinchan playing on TV and started giggling with Jiyana while watching Shinchan. Sanskar was astonished to see Swara's excitement for Shinchan thinking in mind, "This girl... never fails to amaze me."

He went towards the bed where two most important ladies of his life were busy watching Shinchan unware of his presence. He took them in his arms surprising them and dropped an affectionate kiss on both of them one by one silently expressing his gratitude to them for filling all the happiness in his life by their presence.
