Part 1

Lakshya came out of Ragini's room in frustration. He went straight to his room and sat on the bed keeping his palm on his forehead.

He had saw Ragini with some guy outside the house which made his bones to burn. He followed Ragini to her room and warned not to talk to unknown boys. But she wasn't ready for an explanation. Lakshya couldn't control his temper and clutched his lips to her.

Come on Lakshya! Stop being over possessive. She will not run anywhere. You know she is only yours!

He said to himself.

5 years later

Lakshya returned from India with Sharmistha after finishing his studies. It was Poorvi, his twin sister who sent him when she knew what had happened in between Ragini and Lakshya.

That day Poorvi had came to Ragini's room and found her crying with bleeding lips. She told her everything that Lakshya did with her and Poorvi's anger grew. She went to Lakshya's room and warned him to stay away from Ragini. When he argued, she threatened that she will send her to her mother in India. She can't let them stay in one house. But Lakshya couldn't risk that. So he decided to leave for India instead. He stayed with Leela and completed Hus studies and now has returned back.

He took everyone's blessings and asked for Ragini.

"She is preparing something special for you in Kitchen." Poorvi smiled.

Lakshya rushed to kitchen and opened the door when a jar of flour fell on him. Before he could understand what happened with him, he heard someone laughing. He looked up and saw Ragini laughing out loud.

"Lakshya toh pura bhoot ban gaya!!" She laughed more.

"Tune yeh jaan bujh k kiya?" He asked.

Ragini nodded positively.

"Kya kar loge?" She whispered in his ears and ran away.

"Ruk jaa tu!" He ran behind her.

They ran in the hall.

"Poorvi, bacha mujhe!" She tried to hide behind her while he tried to catch her.

"Poorvi, isne mujhe pura bhoot bana diya!" Lakshya pouted.

"Sorry Lakshya!" She said like a kid.

Lakshya smiled at her childishness and shook his head on her.

"Chal aaja!" He opened his arms for a hug.

She moved happily to him but she was about to trip on her heels when Lakshya's strong arms grabbed her waist before her body touches the ground. They kept looking at each other's eyes.

"Are you planning to stay like that forever?" Grinned Sanskaar, Lakshya's cousin.

Sanskaar was best friend to both Lakshya and Ragini. He was always been there when they needed him.

Ragini had become inactive after the kiss incident. Lakshya had gone to India, but still she didn't talk to anyone much. She never expected Lakshya to do something like this to her. She thought he's a changed Lakshya.

Sanskaar was appointed by Lakshya to take care of Ragini on his absence and he did his job to best. He controlled Ragini that Lakshya has not changed and it's just His care for her. Ragini was very difficult to handle but he did it. She became normal with everyone including Lakshya when Sanskaar guaranteed Lakshya will never ever force himself on her. He showed Ragini Lakshya's recent pics and sent her pocs to Lakshya. He also made them chat on hike, etc. He had really done a great job.

"Everything in the world can change but thus two will never change!" Sanskaar remarked when RagLak came to a changing position.

"Neither you!" Lakshya exclaimed and dragged him. The three of them hug.

"I missed you." The trio said in unison and everyone shook their head on them.

2 days later

Lakshya Ragini and Sanskaar entered Maheswari Mansion with ice cream in their hands and found the house getting decorated.

"Acha hua tum log aa Gaye." Poorvi said as she saw them. "Function k liye shopping b toh karni hai."

"Kaunsa function?" Ragini asked.

"Teri aur Lakshya ki sagaai hai kal" Sharmistha said with a smile.

Ragini was utter shock. She looked at Lakshya who was looking at her clueless. She sighed.

"Go and choose engagement ring in the evening." poorvi said.

"I will join! Congrats guys!" Sanskaar said before hugging both of them.

Ragini ran to her room and closed the door.

"Lakshya se engagement?"

It was unexpected. She never looked at Lakshya in that way. He was her best friend! She thought for a little. This family has done many things for her. And it's the first time they are asking for something. She can't hurt them. And above all, Lakshya is her best friend; no one can understand her better than him. She will be able to live with her family if she married him.

"Ragini" she heard a knock on her door. "It's me, Lakshya. Open the door."

She opens and Lakshya comes in.

"Ragini, look I know, it's just like a shock for you. But what elders decide, we have to respect them. Tu wahan se aise chali aayi... I just want to ask, don't you love me? He asked in a calm tone.

"I love you a lot Lakshya, but no in that way. You are my best friend and I can do anything for you. But I never saw you like that." She said politely.

Lakshya sighed.

"So, you don't want to marry me?"

"When did I say that?"

"What do you mean?" He asked confused.

"I don't love you today, but friendship is the first step of every relation!" She smiled.

"You mean.. Hum shaadi kar rahe hain, right?" He asked with happiness.

"Right!" She smiled ear to ear.

Lakshya couldn't understand what to do. He looked at Ragini, she seemed still confused. He cupped her face.

"Listen, our relation will not change after marriage, we are friends and always be. What I did 5 years back, I am still regretting for that." He said as he caressed her cheek with his thumb.

She jumped on his arms after listening this. He closed the embrace.

"I will try my best to give 100% in this relationship." Ragini said.

"I trust you." Lakshya smiled.

Suddenly they heard someone clearing throat. They broke the hug and found Sanskaar standing leaning at the door.

"Ab itne b romantic mat ho jao, k yeh banda dikhe hi na."

They smiled.

"So, stop underestimating me, even I need a hug!"

They have a group hug.

"Waise Sanskaar, stop entering to our rooms like this without permission." Lakshya said after breaking the hug.

"What?" He asked not believing his words.

"Yeah!" Lakshya winked at Ragini. "We are going to marry now, even we need some privacy."

Ragini tried hard to control her laughter.

"Privacy! Like, really? Shaadi ho rahi hai toh is bhai ko bhul rha hai tu? Uska kya, Jo maar mene Tum dono k liye sabse khai hai?" He asked demanding.

Once Lakshya had told Sanskaar to take care of Ragini went he was out for his tuition classes. When he returned, he found Ragini's knee bleeding. She had fall down from bicycle. He beat up Sanskaar to hell for being irresponsible.

Another time when Lakshya came home late night from a party. When his mother found a shadow in the hall, Sanskaar dragged Lakshya to a room and stood up in front of her. She beat him with a stick but he didn't take Lakshya's name.

"I want an answer!" Sanskaar glared at them.

"It was your duty; we can do nothing for that! Bhaai k liye maar nahi khai toh kya khaya!" Ragini said with a smirk.

"You gimmick!" He forwarded his hand and Lakshya with Ragini ran around the room.

He followed them. Ragini threw a pillow at him and he threw it back to her after catching it. This continued for sometime then the three stopped, trying to breathe hard.

"Main thak gaya, yaar!" Lakshya said.

Three trio shared glances and burst into laughter. They lied half on the bed with Lakshya middle and Ragini and Sanskaar on both his sides. They shared high five as they used to do when they were kids.

"I am so happy for you guys!" Sanskaar exclaimed happily.

Lakshya and Ragini looked at each other with a smile.

"I will be back!" Ragini left the room.

Lakshya and Sanskaar were still lying on bed.

"Mujhe nahi pata tha mera bhai itna mature ho gaya hai." Sanskaar said while Lakshya just smiled.

"You also know now, how to control your anger." He said looking at him.

"It's because of Sudhi dude. Now I understand why she sent me to India."

Both the brothers share a smile.
