DKM part-20
Days passed laskh's haterate towards Ragini pinched him unknowingly. He felt her presence important even when he hated it. He was confused. Ragini never dared to power before him, she simply used to stair at him from far away. It caused her pain but still she stayed silent. Her rights were sleepless. Her pillow had monsoon rains everynight. Swara tried helping her out. Alas, all the efforts drained out. They were vain.
Today by mistake her phone was left on the center table. Since Laksh was working on there she was in the kitchen, not making any sound. She did not wish to trigger his rage. She was arranging the dinning table. When she heard her phone buzz. Perplexed she walked around the kitchen trying to search her phone. When she heard Laksh speak-" Sanskaar whose phone is this?"
She ran out. Her phone rang again but she had no guts to go and pic it up. Laksh was getting irritated. "No Laksh" sanskaar bluntly replied.
She slowly moved to the center table and held her phone it was Sharmishta. She disconnected the call and glancing downwards she began to leave. Her silence killed Laksh a bit deep within yet his mind overpowered everything. He grew more irritated.
"How dare u come in front of me?" He shouted. Ragini poped and shivered with the high Amplitude of his voice. Her eyes grew teary and wet. "Woh .. p..Phone..." She murmured.
Laksh brushed his hand through his hair. "BTW divorce papers are ready. " He forwarded a file to her. "Sign them. I have already done it." He continued.
The colour from her face drained out. All broken and empty she held the file. Her body felt heavy. She slowly moved to her room and shit the door behind. She covered her mouth the control any sobs. Laksh coldly gazed her but his heart broke into millions of prices. He didn't know y. He avoided thinking about it and decided to get back to work.
Afternoon cooled down and it was evening. Ragini slipped out of her room. She was still hurt. She slowly walked on the road unknown to where she was going. She sat by the river bank hearing the soothing music the flowing river caused. She was crying at times and at times galring the river water.
She.was all lost when her gaze fell on a 5 year old. He was all alone walking with the help of a support. He sat there. She continued to glare at him blankly. He sat down and soon his sons were filled in the surroundings. Worried she reached him.
"Hi" she wisphered softly.
The little kid lifted his eyes.
"What u want?" He asked innocently. His voice wet yet broken.
She sat down with him and caressed his cheek. "Why r u crying" she wisphered.
The little one embraced her and wisphered back in her ear- "My girlfriend broke up with me"
Her eyes swung open. She didn't know weather to console him or laugh. She controlling her giggles pecked his forehead.
"Why??" She asked him as they parted.
His eyes filled with tears. "Because I am disabled" he said with tears in his eyes.
She pulled him back into the hug. It really broke her deep within to hear this.
"Leave her then!!" She asked him
"No but I love her" he replied feeling soothed with her touch.
"She doesn't value Ur love. Life will give u someone better. " She assured.
"Really?" He innocently asked
"Yes" she broke the hug and made eye-contact.
He sat in her lap. He lifted his head and met her eyes. "Why were you crying?" He asked her.
She smiled. "Someone who loved me have forgotten me completely. He hates me now" she replied her voice was cracking.
Few minutes passed in silence when the little kid introduced himself. "Hey I am Rahul"
"I am Ragini" she smiled
"U know u r very cute" he said.
She smiled."u too"
He lifted and pecked her cheek."thank you" he said cutely.
"Ragini" he said with some mischief in his voice "wese will u be my girlfriend" he proposed her.
"Kya??" Ragini replied shocked.
"Han I mean jab tak mujhe koi nahi gf Na mile tab tak k liye pls meri gf ban jao pls... Pls"
He requested. She laughed and agreed. "Okay baba, lo ban jate h hum tumhari gf. Khush"
He smiled widely " bahut kuch, I promise mein duniya ka best bf banke dikaunga"
Ragini lifted him up in her arms. She pecked his cheek. "Okay I know u r the best bf" she smiled and dropped him at his address... An orphanage.
Laksh POV-
I saw ragini. She was running here and there. She was so happy. Somewhere I was liking it. But what bothers me these days is her absence. She isn't at home. I wondered where she states these days. Today Something pinched me more is he not wearing her mangalsutra and vermilion. She wore a red jeans and top. Laughing and gigling with Swara. She left hurriedly as she saw me.
I sat on the sofa and began my work when I saw her phone beep. It had a msg-"Waiting for u my baby doll."
I picked her phone up... It had messages from a boy Rahul. Honestly jealousy was building up in my mind.
I began reading
