I think someone else asked the question earlier too, during I guess Icarus...and I said I have Aladdin's lamp, I brush it and an idea steams out. How about that?😆

Vajra is lord Indra's weapon, in Tibetan it means wisdom, or the one searching for it or faith, in pali it means the diamond or transparent, shining, strong, like a diamond.

You'll have to read the prologue I'm going to post first my dear.

That part would come when a certain person encounters another certain person...which won't be the case till a couple of chapters. 😉

However, I'm really good at this dealer of dreams occupation right? Dreaming myself and making others dream in turn?😆🤗

Absolutely. 😆 we could actually title you "the dealer of dreams". 😉 Or the "sultana of serenades" ...your fics have that poetic quality to them anyway..😉

Wonderful, fascinating, tantalizing start, my dear Gudiya 🤗 🤗 Kudos to your sheer imagination and creativity, you conjure up these worlds with a languid swish of your magic wand (unicorn tail and spruce wood is it? 😛) and cast a spell on all your readers!

All the scenes you described were so marvelously vivid: Mohan coming to accost Arya (I presume on Pratula's orders, but he also had his past loyalty to Arya and his own conscience pulling him in another direction); The valiant and yes, brilliant Prince Sanskaar, in love with Kavita, who is a warrior sworn to protect him; and the scene with Pratula and the seer, at the end.

The portrayal of Sanskaar struck me as very astute indeed. A half blood prince, literally! 😊 But all the better for it, combining the martial skill and prowess of his patrilineal line, with the diplomacy, tact and love of peace of his matrilineal relatives. Oddly enough, despite his stupendous skill with weaponry, his brilliant tactics, the Vajra gossips would seek to malign him as unfit to be King, precisely because he may seek peace before war! Typically short sighted!

Though the setting was as different as could possibly be from the serial, I was struck by how the Vajra (an analogy to the Mahshwari clan), acknowledge Sanskaar's superiority, maybe even a tad grudgingly, but at the same time, see him kind of as "the other" to themselves, not really belonging. (Much as Sanskaar was always treated with less warmth than Lakshya was in the serial plotline). Interesting!

And I noticed his warm hazel brown eyes flashing silver as he rushes over to Kavi in concern. 😊 Kavi knows that the Prince nurses feelings for her, but firmly forecloses any chance of a romance there, by firmly stating that he should not even speak of those feelings to the warrior guard who is sworn to protect him. Shades of Legolas and Tauriel here. 😊

I wonder when and for whom Sanskaar's hazel eyes would flash a clear, mountain-lake green? 😳 (I know for whom 😆, just wonder when!)

The scene between Pratula and the seer was a masterstroke, too. When the seer tells him, that by having his twin sister Arya killed, he had not defeated his destiny, but merely brought it closer, favored it; I was reminded of two things. Kamsa committing all those atrocities against his clan, against Vasudev and Devaki, thinking he was eliminating the threat from the prophecy. But all he did, was to make his end more certain.

And from HP, Voldemort "marking Harry as his equal". Choosing to interpret the prophecy made by Sybil Trelawney and overheard by Snape, as indicating Harry and his parents. In the end, his crime against the Potters turned Harry into his nemesis, and brought about his end...

Very profound, Saku. The hints you've given about the Vajra's eye, about what ultimately happened to Arya, and where Shona is now ( I presume in Mohan's safe custody), are tantalizing in the extreme. Can't wait to read more!

BTW, the Temple of Agni in Vajrateertha sounds awe inspiring. Would there be a scene set there in Chap 2? And how exactly is Sanskaar related to Pratula? Is he a distant cousin? Or a nephew/ first or second cousin once removed?
