Hello where are you ๐
and
where is our update waiting dear๐ณ
As I admitted before, I enjoy silence. The soothing emptiness that does not fill itself with heavy, demanding words is my heaven. ...
I should have realized this before. I do not enjoy the silence between us, it is torment personified.""
๐ ๐, SK, SK my dear chap...I always thought Casper would fall first, but SK seems to have stolen a march over her. ๐
I loved how Sanskaar did not want Swara to view him through the faulty prism of Shekar, a man he has come to thoroughly detest (who wouldn't? I abhor him too! ๐) That was a delicate touch, Sanskaar wanting to say "Sorry" to Swara. He doesn't feel too comfortable with the word, perhaps viewing it as a sign of vulnerability. But something about Swara's coffee brown eyes...๐
A very poignant part of the update was where Swara confesses how and why she fell in "love" with Lakshya. How she now realizes it wasn't love at all; it was just being in love with the idea of love, of the idea that someone could want her, trust her, respect her and dream about her. And the tragedy was, it was all just a mirage. Lakshya just said that in the grip of his infatuation, there was no real feeling there at all to begin with.
Saku, seriously you should read "Towards Zero". The way you made SK identify Swara's motive to confess to a crime she hadn't even committed, was so wonderfully reminiscent of that side plot in that novel I told you about. You'd love it.
SK was so canny, he identified Swara's shattered emotional state at Lakshya callously deciding not to trust her. She must have felt so forlorn, so devastated, that she just decided there wasn't any point in continuing with this bitterness any more.
I just loved the sarcastic banter between them, these lines were such fun: ""I know selflessness is quite promoted these days, but fat, old self concern is healthy too.'...
You have some villain-ish quotes SK."
๐
The following para, about the school for antagonists, and SK asking if he should hire a murder suspect as a security personnel (with 2 dead, 3 missing rap), was amazing, too. Very sly sense of humor that chap has, I must say. ๐
And he certainly has started having difficulty keeping his hands to himself where Casper is concerned. ๐ That knotting up of her hair was a clear sign of his barriers being breached, and he knows that very well too. Hence the offer that he would clean the remaining dishes, and she could go rest!
The ending paras seemed to hint at Annapurna trying to emotionally blackmail him into dropping the case, to "protect" her husband's reputation. Did she try to pull that stunt that last case Durga Prasad referred to, when SK lost the trial in Kolkata?
Looking forward to Chap 8 already! ๐
