Well river Ganges flows through Kolkata and it is very very deep in areas near Prinsep ghat but Kali ghat area the river is very narrow small dis tributary of Ganges ..
There is certainly no mountain or highland near Kolkata also there is no sunsaan Ilaka ..because Kolkata is a very populous city ...

Sorry guys, I hav e no knowledge on this as I am from Bangalore and never visited Kolkata. But they didn't exactly said it is Kalighat as clearly Ragini said this is not the route to Kalighat police station and Lakshya said it is the short cut. And if I remember he thought in his mind about some Sunset point which again I have no idea.

And kalighat police station is right next to CM. mamata 's house no sunsan ilaaka ... Lots and lots of police... Waha par lucky ki ... Nikal jaati murder nahi kar Paata
