Another brilliantly written piece!
Loved how you penned out the unspoken understanding and respect these two have for each other.
The way Sanskaar wrote how he needed his bade papa- not his mom, dad or even AP- he needed his bade papa in those times of turmoil.

It comes across to me as if though the essence of the relationship between Sanskaar, AP and DP are the same but their similar yet obviously distinct personalities and needs is the distinguishing factor in Sanskaar's relationships with these two respectively. AP's affection towards Sanskaar is mostly verbal and not physical I felt, whereas DP's actions speak volumes, while he's silent when it comes to voicing his love for Sanskaar.

The way you described DP as someone who can shun anyone with his mere words but can also lift them up and lend them a hand depicts everything DP stands for perfectly. I think Swara is also a small, undeveloped version of DP and he can see the potential in her, which is one of the reasons for his fondness towards her.

Who's next on the list? 😃

EDIT: My new fav 😳

When it comes to Sanskaar, I have realized I have a one track mind. I can only relate to a character in a sense that would actually make me see them and want to understand them, if they are connected to Sanskaar in a way that makes Sanskaar incomplete as a character without them. I again don't know if I am making sense to you anymore.

Thus the apparent disregard for AP and RP. I realized that I had known what to expect from your letters Lux and Suju (at least to a level). But now that we have finally come to discussing DP, I was really confused. Of course I knew the guy was as fair as anyone could possibly expect from the Maheshwari Khandan. Oh I knew he was no "dhhodh ka dhula" but he has till now managed to not give me any reason to start hating him.(SwaSan divorce almost cost him that) That's definitely something!

He always giving Swara, the benefit of doubt while his wife was clearly against the match. He being the first person to accept SwaSan as a married couple.(even if was a fake one at that time) He giving Sanskaar and Swara a chance when it came to the whole Ragini-molestation fiasco. Although I did hate him for easily believing Ragini and slapping Sanskaar. That was so uncalled for!😡

Or maybe I'm just being biased since he is a fellow SwaSan shipper!😆

Anyways coming back to the topic at hand, as always loved reading it Shruthi. I couldn't have slept without telling you what I though of it. The parts that stood out for me the most wer

You, who married Maa, who may be as Marwari as they come, but was the neglected and impoverished poor cousin of the girl your mother actually wanted you to marry? Did your own mother not raise the objection originally to the match, but you overrode that as you had clearly seen Maa and fallen in love? Not that you would ever admit to that overpowering desire you had to make her your wife, instead of the other far more "suitable" one chosen for you, as love. Love is not for the great Durga Prasad Maheshwari after all. Oh no, the catch words are duty, honour, respect and pride.

I envy that brain of yours. Skeletons in closet and DP ?😲😆 Loved the continuity in AP's story here.

you who know how similar we are, in that we would never back down at the first sign of resistance. What did you think would happen?

My grievance lies in the fact that I had always looked up to you as the father that would come through for me, as I know that my Dad abandoned that role to you a long time ago, even for himself, let alone me. Yet, when it came to it, just like Maa- the call of your own blood was stronger.

These two lines are my favorite. His connection with Sanskaar, as someone he truly counted on to be there for him. And how he proved to be a complete failure at being "his" father. Comparing DP to AP was icing on the cake!

I somehow felt that this was his most honest letter among the 5. AP's was honest too but it lacked that finality that this one has. Am I making no sense again? 😕 It totally explains why Sanskaar would have preferred them over his own parents. He is so much like them.

Geetha 🤗 Thank you for this detailed comment and the consistent encouragement you give me. Glad you liked the exploration of Sanskaar-DP's dynamics, which I personally find fascinating. They have a lot of similarities but also some key differences. Haha- I just made up the supposed DP-AP love story as surely they all must have stuff they have done in the past that can be seen in a different light today! And don't worry, what you have said all makes sense 😃. I feel that in DP's case, his partiality towards Lux are not really deliberate. He demands the same high standards he sets himself for only Sanskaar as there he know he will get the return. Also I think he went easier on Lux as he had learnt a lesson from Sanskaar's experience but of course Sanskaar wouldn't have known that as such.

Thank you so much for this, you have totally nailed what I was trying to portray about the differences between the Sanskaar-AP and Sanskaar-DP dynamics. 👏. Really pleased that you liked this one!

@Bold- I feel the same way too.I knew he was no AP. I always felt that he never deliberately chose to be blind like AP did when it came to Laksh. He sees exactly who he is. The same way he clearly sees Sanskaar. Which is why has always been my favorite person in MM. Suju has her off days. Like right now.

I really did like what you did with AP-DP's love story.😃 Ah! I'm so glad all of it made sense. 😆

This was a powerful and amazing letter to DP. Both are very similar and yet so different in some points and both are my fav characters along with Swara in the serial. Oh yes i started loving DP more after he decided to gave an another chance to Swara and Sanskar for their relationship😳
I got quite emotional while reading this.
This line especially was very touching 'No- you left me alone in my dark to find my own way. But I was lost Bade Papa, I needed you- not my Dad or my Mom, or even Maa in that time, but you- and you never came looking for me!'
Keep this letters coming and i'm really looking forward to the letter to Swara 😆

Thank you Preet my lovely 🤗. I don't know about beautiful but when the subject is Sanskaar, it suddenly becomes almost easy. I really like DP- genuine soft spot for him and at the moment, I so LOVE him! Sanskaar and DP seem like the only 2 with brains to be honest. Glad you liked it and yes, Swara does need a letter doesn't she?! 😉

DP is my second fave after Sanskaar. At the moment, he is truly a rockstar isn't he?! Suju is seriously annoying me at the moment and I am so worried she will be Team Yucky soon

Again an amazing piece of writing Shruti👏. This one is so emotional... The pain ..the frustration Sanskaar must be feeling ... the are putted down here so brilliantly.
I loved these line the most..

I was lost Bade Papa, I needed you- not my Dad or my Mom, or even Maa in that time, but you- and you never came looking for me!

Its so heartwrenching.. A child asking question to his parent why he was left alone in the dark for so long.

Again, what does it matter that she has been my benediction, become my reason for living and the thought of an existence without her is akin to the worst hell anyone could devise for me. None of this would matter should Lucky be required, yet again, to be made happy, and the stage set for that. I get it.

This most painful one here... The resigned acceptance that this will definitely happen..

My eyes misted reading this... Really girl... You're one of my favorite author on IF. You're writings are heart touching. Very few can do such magic with words...
I am eagerly looking forward for his letter for Swara. I am gonna keep tissue papers near me because I know you will capture Sanskaar's state perfectly and its is going to be really emotional. 😳

P.S. Can I make a suggestion. ? After letter to Swara... Maybe somehow she gets that and she replies to him with a letter of her own. I would love to read something like this... 😳

Nitz 🤗 Wow- such lovely comments, thanks so much! Your embarrassing me with the praise- 😳. There are such talented writers here, you saying I'm one of your faves is music to my ears! Haha- tissues for letter to Swara! Yes, I think the plan is for this weekend but in the meantime I now have some ideas for other OSs that might come before. Ohhh nice suggestion, I did want Swara to write to Sanskaar so may well do it that way. Lots of love xoxo
