Your reference to Trojan horse reminded me- have you read the trilogy by David Gemmel on the legend of Troy? They are my all time favourites along with others like Bernard Cornwell's series on the Arthurian legends. The Troy ones are pure class- your writing indicates you would like them- a real re-telling of the Troy legends we all know, which is why I love them!
