actually I would be glad if his expressions were "Eh, I know mate, tough luck. Sorry".
The guy has done enough for her, he wanted to call of that wedding , but she stopped him.

Not surprising. People usually don't want their Mommies to be bumped off. 😆

I'm not trying to defend him or anything. Just my honest opinion.Seriously! I like the fact that hes not OTT with his expressions all the time! I really don't enjoy watching people cry for the same thing over and over again! Swara was blah today.Maybe its because I'm tired of watching her whine all the time. It makes it more real for me tbh. I don't find him impassive at all.I did agree that today's scene could have been better didn't I? I like the way he acts out the emotional scenes. I honestly do. Let's just agree to disagree.😆

Hiya. Respectfully disagree. I find Varun's acting the best from the 4 leads, and even overall. There are other good actors like Sachin Tyagi but they don't get used much. I have come to be really impressed with Varun's performances, be they in "plotting" scenes or "acting mad" scenes like you said or in the emotional ones. For me, subtlety is an actor's strong point. I personally dislike people who overact and make it seem like they are on stage, with over exaggerated hand movements and really overt expressions. I used to perform for stage shows regularly and for that it was a certain way to present a scene. To emote on stage that degree of obviously demonstrating is necessary but when the same thing is to be shown on screen within the context of a show, where we have to believe someone is acting in the course of their life (be it normal or abnormal), it doesn't need to overdone in that sense. I feel Varun emotes amazingly with his eyes, with very discreet shifts of his expressions, his body language and just with little nuances that to me make a good actor. I think he actually performs superbly in emotional scenes.
Today, it was about SwaLak and their pain and also some on Shomi etc and even Ragini. Everyone was required to give very emotional reactions to charged situations and in that Sanskaar did not have a pivotal role. I saw the on location shoots and felt even in that that Varun nailed the scenes he had to do, which I think will come tomorrow- where Swara breaks down even more and he comforts her. Nevertheless he will still not react very overtly as I feel that the focus is to be on Swara and her emotional reactions to everything happening and Sansksaar has to play stoic and strong.

Hi! :)

I respectfully will agree to disagree. Varun is bang on in emotional scenes. He has given us some memorable emotional scenes. However, I will agree yesterday's scene was a bit dull. Infact, all the close up scenes for yesterday were weird and boring. Be it Helly or Varun - their acting felt forced. More so, Varun had absolutely no dialogues yesterday. It was like they had told him to just stand there and see Swara cry and get into action only when he was calling Shekhar. It was a badly shot scene.

However, there have been various emotional scenes where Varun has performed exceptionally well.

P.S : You should be ready for more haywire scenes of Varun - seems like they are going to be shooting his scenes separately for a couple of episodes and that is always a disaster for any actor. 🥱

I never denied that Varun is a good actor people . Just felt that he is/was too restrained in emotional scenes . Feel free to disagree. :)

I haven't seen his previous shows. I loved Sanskar when he was the angry young man-cum hidden crazy. However, ever since he turned positive, he's become Mona Lisa.
