Somewhere it is being said that he was looking subdued and dull but did not act emotional. When it is pointed out that he was supposed to look subdued and dull and not hyperventilate then the question of looking morose crops up.
My understanding of the situation is either we refer different dictionaries where words subdued, morose, dejected etc mean diametrically opposite things or else our way of looking at things is completely different. No point discussing anything in both the cases. So Goodbye from my side.
