Sanskar got up and stood on the rock. Ragini and Laksh walked up to Sanskar and as they reached Laksh spoke-
Bhai, what are you doing here?
Sanskar rubbed his nose and replied-
Its a secret. But tell me, what are you guys doing here?
Laksh looked at ragini and as ragini looked up to him, he took away his eyes from her and said-
We..I mean I...myself and ragini went to your cabin to discuss the new project but you weren't there and then we thought you must have been at home. So, I called there, ma said you aren't there and that's why we came here. Here you are. Both Sanskar and ragini noticed Laksh uncomfortable. While Sanskar smirked at the thought of the" we...I..."confusion of Laksh, ragini felt a pinch in her heart.
Okay.
So, shall we leave bhai?
Not yet Lucky. I think we better talk. You remember this is the place where we brothers used to be friends and talk our heart out. Share our dreams and have fun. And today I feel is the time for us to talk. Sanskar folded his hand across his chest and continued- why don't we talk about you, your shona and all that happened 3 years back.
Ragini and Laksh were stunned by Sanskar's words. Both of them looked at Sanskar with their ears ready for the revelation. Sanskar went near ragini and asked -
What kind of marriage did I and Swara have, arranged marriage or love marriage? Do you know ragini?
Ragini nodded sideways.
Let me tell you, I and Swara had a arrange marriage. But, you know at that time swara was in love, in love with my brother. Laksh and ragini looked at Sanskar, their eyes popping out.
Yes lucky, she loved you all the time. Sanskar went back a few steps and turned around. He took the cols breeze in and then turned to find them staring at him. He continued-
I know everything about you and her. Swara never hid her past from me. But, all the time when she told me about you, she never took your name. May be, the state in which I met her was the reason. Sanskar went near Laksh and held his collar -
Why lucky? Why? Was your love so weak? How could you lucky? Saying he left Lucky's collar. Ragini didn't react. She didn't interfere. She understood sanskar's state and she felt the brothers needed this confrontation and let them do it in their way.
You shouldn't have left her like that lucky. You want to know where I found her. I found her in the hospital run by our trust. That day is still fresh in my memory when I found her shattered, bruised and lifeless. That day when she had lost her love, her child, your child lucky( pointing at Laksh), she lost everything.
Laksh let the tears flow. He was hurt and guilty at the same time. Tears escaped ragini's eyes as she could feel the pain Swara had been through and she noticed sanskar's tears as he said all this Laksh. It must have been harder for him, his brother and his wife. She sighed as Sanskar continued -
You were wrong lucky. You were wrong then and you are wrong now. You came here to win Swara back?
Laksh didn't have the guts to meet sanskar's eyes. He kept his gaze down.
Answer me Laksh maheshwari. Answer me.
Laksh fell on his knees and cried. Ragini couldn't see laksh's state and as she was about to go near him, Sanskar stopped her. Sanskar got down on his one knee and made Laksh meet his eyes. Laksh held sanskar's hand and weeped asking for forgiveness -
I am sorry bhai. I really am sorry. I shouldn't have left her that way bhai. I am sorry. Please forgive me bhai.please...
Sanskar kept the other hand on laksh's head and said -
I wish I could. But, I can't.


After a while, Sanskar left in his car to MM. Laksh and ragini followed Sanskar. Sanskar felt lighter while Laksh was engulfed with guilt. Ragini felt bad seeing laksh's state but left him alone for he needed that. As they reached MM,they found the entire family on the dining table. Sanskar took the seat beside Swara. Swasan gave each other a warm smile. Ragini and Laksh sat beside DP. Swara could feel something wrong with Ragya. Though ragini and Swara passed on a smile to each other during dinner, Swara wasn't at ease.

In swasan bedroom, Sanskar was working on his laptop while Swara was silently observing him standing near the window resting her head on the wall. After a while Swara walked towards Sanskar,closed his laptop and said
Don't look surprised. Tell me what happened between you and Laksh?
Sanskar smiled at Swara.
How can you be so sure that something happened between me and Laksh?
Swara folded her hands across her chest and said-
Its not just you Mr.Sanskar who knows everything. I know my husband very well.
Sanskar held Swara by her shoulders and told her everything that happened at the lake side. Swara listened to him patiently and a tear escaped her eyes. She wiped them and said-
You shouldn't have been so harsh on him Sanskar. He is your brother. And coz of me, you and Laksh...its not right.
I had to be harsh on him Swara. He had to know all that happened after he left you. Until he forgets you, he won't be able to move on and for that he had to know everything. He was wrong Swara and I am his elder brother and I can't see my brother like this. Swara looked deeply in sanskar's eyes and said-
You are amazing. Laksh is truly lucky to have you and I am luckiest to have you. She hugged him. Sanskar held her close and kissed her forehead.

Laksh was in the lost land trying to figure out how to fix things that he has so badly messed up. His heart was filled with guitar and all the pain he has caused Swara when Sanskar came in-
I knew you would be awake.
Come in bhai.
Sanskar stood near the balcony of laksh's room. Laksh too joined him.
I am sorry bhai for everything. I really am.
Lucky, i respect your feelings for swara. I know you love her and no one can stop you from loving her. Coz the heart has its own way. And i know, you are still there in swara's heart. But , i also know she loves me. whatever happened lucky is destiny. We can't change it. I am not here to tell you to move on or forget your love. All I will tell you is to live. Swara knew you were my brother even before you got here. Laksh was shocked hearing this. Sanskar could read laksh's expression and he continued-
Yes lucky, she knew. Sanskar told Laksh the incident that brought out the reality of their intertwined lives.
You coming here never created any rift or misunderstanding between me and Swara coz we knew that this day had to come. Life isn't easy lucky but having someone by your side makes it a little easy. Lucky, after knowing all about you and Swara, ragini's love for you hasn't decreased any bit. She loves you and that is evident in her eyes. I know you don't love her. All I am saying is don't overlook her love for you. You know lucky, its true that they say" love happens. But, it happens only if you let it happen".
Sanskar placed a hand on laksh's shoulder. Laksh quickly wrapped his arms around Sanskar for the brotherly embrace. Sanskar moved his hand over laksh's hair and said - we will be fine Laksh.
They broke the hug
Thanks bhai.
Good night lucky. Get some sleep. Sanskar left from there.

After a while Laksh decided to confront ragini. He could see the light still on in her room. As he walked in her room he found Swara there. As Swara heard the door open she turned to find Laksh. She smiled at him and was about to leave when Laksh spoke-
I am sorry Swara for everything. I really am.
Its okay Laksh. I have forgiven you long back.
But Swara..
Don't Laksh. Let's not talk about it any further. It was our past. Right now where we stand, I am married and happy with Sanskar and you are my brother in law. That we are one family. Let's keep it that way and not complicate it any further.
Laksh nodded and smiled.
And as your family all I want to say is - live again Laksh and to live you will have to let love happen to you again. I know its tough but when you have afriend by your side its quite easy. "Its difficult to find a friend in your partner but easy to find a partner in your friend". Good night Laksh.
Good night Swara. Laksh and Swara both turned to leave.Both of them left their past behind and moves forward to their future. Swara left for her room to her husband while Laksh left to find ragini.

As Swara entered the room she found Sanskar drinking water. Sanskar looked at his wife and smiled. He was about to say something when Swara said -
I know you are in love with me.
But I was going to say I love you.
Swara turned and said -
Nope. You are in love with me.Sanskar held Swara from behind and asked
What's the difference between the two?
The difference is I love orchids that you bring for me. And every time you bring them I fall in love with you. You pluck the flowers you so planted with love and care but all those flowers are for the one you are in love with and that's me(pointing at herself) . every time you do something for me, you plant your love in my heart Sanskar.
Sanskar was touched by swara's words
You know Mrs.SSM, you have become intelligent being with me. Sanskar chuckled. Swara turned and hit him playfully on his chest.
Ouch, I got hurt- Swara said caressing his chest. They both chuckled and stood their in each others arms. One more night together with a promise of forever.

Next morning at MM

Swasan came down for breakfast. The maheshwari's were chit chatting and munching on the rajasthani delicacies made by sujata and parineeta. Annapurna and Swara having served the dishes took their places beside Dp and Sanskar. Just then Laksh and ragini joined them. Ragini had a smile on her face that reached her eyes while Laksh looked calm and refreshed. Swasan had their eyes on them all the while. Ragini and Laksh had breakfast with everyone and seemed to be happy.
Later that day , ragini, Laksh, adarsh, parineeta and uttara came to swasan's room. Swara was painting while Sanskar was in his laptop when they entered. Seeing them Sanskar started-
Great that you guys came.
Yes. But, why did you call us all so urgently?
Coz adarsh bhai we have some important work.
And what is that? Asked uttara curiously.
Swara left her painting half done and joined them.
Its bade papa and ma's anniversary so we have to plan a big and grand celebration.- replied a very excited Swara.
That news lit up the face of everyone present and Sanskar gave a that's the news look.
So what are we going to do? Asked ragini.
Let's have a grand party- suggested uttara...
With a theme of the 90's- said ragini
That's nice ragini. I will handle the music and food- said Laksh and smiled at ragini. Swasan noticed the forming bond between ragya and exchanged smiles.
Adarsh decided to make the guest list and send invitation to everyone. Parineeta and ragini were responsible for the decoration and other arrangements, the others decided to chip in as well. Uttara took the responsibility to make the outfits for all while swasan decides on gifts. After dividing the work and discussion on the arrangements everyone retired to their respective rooms.
At night, swasan were laying on their bed with Swara resting her head on Sanskar's chest and Sanskar wrapped his arms around Swara.
You know Sanskar you made everything right. Thank you.
Sanskar lifted swara's chin and replied-
I had to. I promised you all the happiness and that's what love is all about. Keeping the promises. Swara looked at Sanskar and wondered how lucky she really was to have him. She hugged him tight and rested her head on his chest, she could hear his every heart beat. She felt at peace. Sanskar kissed her forehead and closed his eyes for a peaceful sleep.
Ragini changed into her night suit and made her bed. She checked her mobile to find some calls from her Dad. She thought of calling him tomorrow. She was about to retire to bed when there came a knock on the door. She went forward and opened it to find Laksh. She gave him a warm smile. Laksh wished her good night and returned the smile. She wished him the same and Laksh left. Ragini closed the door and leaned against the door to remember the last night memeories-
Flashback
Last night
After Laksh confronted Swara, he went to the terrace where ragini was already present. She looked angelic in the moon light. She was feeling very vulnerable. Any moment she could break down. Just then Laksh came and stood beside her. Both of them stood their silent for a while. Laksh and ragini had their hands folded across the chest and felt a heavy heart, the air around them was full of tears and pain. After a few minutes of silence Laksh looked at ragini and said-
I know ragini what I did was wrong and I am sorry.
Ragini looked at Laksh and she could see it in his face how tired he was with all the happenings.
Its okay Laksh. I understand you completely. Its not easy when the person whom you love loves someone else.
Laksh nodded and moved ahead and kept his hand on the railings and said-
You are best friend ragini. You stood by me always and I didn't even respect your feelings. I shouldn't have done that. Ragini stood beside Laksh and replied-
I am your best friend Laksh and its the golden rule of friendship to stand by your friend. That's what I did. Nothing special in it.
Laksh recalled swara's words and looked at ragini. She looked so serene. He felt good when he was with her. She understood him. She never judged him or his actions and was his best friend. He placed his hand on ragini's hand shocking ragini. He looked at her straight in her eyes and asked-
You have been with me for years now. Do you mind being there forever?
Ragini couldn't utter a word. She was stunned and speechless. Tears formed in her eyes and in a flash she hugged Laksh. Laksh couldn't react for a few seconds but then later he held her protectively.
Flashback ends

The next morning swasan, ragya, parish and uttara started with the arrangements. Swasan left no stone unturned to bring ragya together during the work. Parish were so busy with the arrangements they failed to notice the budding romance of ragya. Uttara was busy in the designing of outfits. Swasan also kept their romance alive during the preparation. One such incident-
When Swara was arranging the curtains standing on the ladder, she slipped and was caught by her husband. She knew he would be there for her. She put her arms around his neck as he stood their holding her and gave her his charming smile. He put her down carefully. As she turned to leave he held her wrist and pulled her closer to him. She banged on his chest and stared in his expressive eyes. She was so lost in him she didn't notice the people around them.
I love you Sanskar.
I love you too Swara... And they stood there like a statue.
Parish, ragini and uttara were witnessing the love birds and uttara clicked a pic of their romantic moment.
By the way Swara, how many times do you say that in a day? Adarsh asked cheekily..
Hundred replied Swara still not in her senses.
Parish , ragini and uttara broke into laughter and that brought swasan back into their senses. Feeling embarrrased Swasan ran in opposite directions leaving the others in laughter. Laksh who witnessed the moment from the stairs felt bad coz he tried to come in between them. He felt guilty of trying to steal his brother's wife. He sighed and moved his head sideways. He looked at ragini who was happy and all smiles and that brought a smile at his face and went ahead with his work.
Annapurna witnessed all from swasan to ragya and she felt blessed as things were back to normal and her family was happy again.

On the day of the 25th anniversary
There was a Pooja in the morning and later uttara gave everyone their dresses for the evening party. As the clock hit 6, people started coming. Adarsh had invited their close relatives and business associates. While the women looked beautiful in those 90's outfit with their bun and long and dark eyelashes the men looked handsome as ever in the bell bottom and silky shirts. The theme was a good one indeed.
Laksh got ready with a black bell bottom and white silky shirt and went to meet ragini. He knocked the door and found it to be open. He pushed the door and was mesmerized to see the beauty standing infront of him. Ragini looked the 90's queen in the red saree and her hair was tied into plates with a ribbon in the front. She looked elegant And classy. Her beautiful dove like pretty eyes were all the more serene with the Kajal that she wore. As he stood there admiring her ragini went ahead and said-
You look good Laksh.
You look beautiful ragini.
That made ragini blush.
Thank you. Laksh came from his from his dream land and said-
I am going to tell dad and mom about us.
Ragini smiled and nodded. Laksh forwarded his hand, ragini looked at him and then said-
Wait here Laksh. I will be back and went out from the room.
After about 15 minutes she came running into the room and hugged Laksh. She was crying hard and Laksh didn't know what happened all of a sudden. He was genuinely worried for her.
What happened ragini?
Ragini just held him tight with her rams around his neck and weeped.she broke the hug after sometime, composed herself and said-
Laksh I know you don't love me. I know that. I know shona will always be there in your heart and I don't want to replace her. I don't want you to love me the way I love you. Its okay if you don't reciprocate my feelings with love. Its alright Laksh.I Waited for over 2 years to express my feelings in front of you. I love you Laksh but still it took me so much time to say it in front of you. So how can you who doesn't even love me...I can't expect anything from you Laksh...coz love is without any expectations. I will love you forever and I give you a forever to just feel my love.
Laksh was amazed at ragini's words and smiled. He was sure of her and about them. He took her hand in his and looked at her with a smile only for her. Ragini nodded her head assuring him of a lifetime.
