'Hello Mr Sanskar Maheshwari?'
' Ji haan, aap kon?'
'Ji mein Inspector Shinde. Abhi abhi jo bus Mumbai ja rahi thi uska accident hoge aa, aur hume pta chala ki ussme apki wife Mrs Swara Maheshwari bhi thi. Kya aap yahan aa sakte hai abhi?
'Kya?' and phone drops from his hand.
He felt shattered
'No mein abhi nahi toot sakta, she needs me. I have to go'
He reaches the place where the accident took place. There was lot of people there, gathered around, panicking, crying. The police was trying to stop them and take out the bodies from the bus to take them to the hospital.
'Excuse me, mein Sanskar Maheshwari, apne phone kiya mujhe, meri wife kahan hai?' and tries to go ahead.
'Sorry sir aap aage nahi ja sakte, manaa hai aage jana. Abhi bhi bus mein kuch bodies hai jinhe hume jaldi hospital le kar jaana hoga. Please yahin rahiye'
'Inspector meri wife bhi hai wahan, please i need to meet her. I beg you'
'Rules are rules Mr. We can't allow you'
Sanskar angry holds the inspector from his uniform's collar 'Mene kaha na? I need to go dammit!'
The other constables rushes there to free him form Sanskar.
'Dekhiye we know you are finding your wife, but try to understand'
Sanskar tries to calm him down.
Swara kahan ho tum? Kyun?
At the same time he sees the doctor taking a person into the ambulance, and he sees Swara's bracelet from the hand. The same bracelet he gifted to her.
'Swara?' and followes the doctors. But is not able to reach there as there's lot of people.
He asks for info from the police and rushes immediately to the city hospital.
As soon as he reaches there, he goes inside shouting.
Swara?
'Excuse doctor my wife is there. Kahan hai i need to meet her now'
'I'm sorry Mr, you need to fill the form first and then you can get to know where your wife is'
'WTH! Try to understand doctor, i need to meet her now'
'Dekhiye i can't do anything. Follow the rules otherwise i will be forced to call the security'
He rushes to fill the form but he sees there lots of people in the line waiting for their turn. He tries to go ahead but he is stopped.
'Oh bhaisaab kaha ja rahe ho? Line mein raho'
'Dekhiye aap jaante nahi mein kon hoon. I'm Sanskar Maheshwari!'
'Aap jo bhi ho, line mein raho'
After 30 mins he is able to take and fill the form and asks for Swara.
'She was very serious, she is in the ICU'
He immediately goes towards the ICU.
'Doctor Swara Maheshwari, my wife. Kahan hai?'
The doctor takes a bit of time and then 'i'm really sorry. She is no more'
His heart beat stops.
She is no more
She can't leave him, no she can't.
She has no rights to leave him. Why?
Their last arguments flashed in his mind:
'Sanskar why do you have to argue always? Kya galti hai meri? You are always ready to fight na?'
'Oh please Swara. I always said you to not touch my things, then why do you have to keep all my things over there? Am i not clear enough? Don't you understand hindi kya?'
'Stop it. It's better if i leave right? You will be happy. Mein ja rahi hoon Sanskar'
'Haan jayo, ghar mein shaanti aayegi'
'Sanskar are you sure? I am leaving! Don't you care a bit?'
He didn't respond. Of course he did care for her but wasn't ready to admit it.
'Sanskar mein ja rahi hoon, jab mein humesha ke liye chali jayungi tab tumhe ehsaas hoga ' and left from there.
His heart beat stopped. He was not able to breathe. She was not with him anymore, he won't be able to argue with her, to listen to his bakwaad baatein, to admire her.
Why destiny was so cruel? Twice
Jab Dil de diya tab takdeer ne uske pyaar ki phir se cheen liya. Pyaar karna ek sazaa hai?
'Jab Swara ko mujhse cheen na hi tha to kyun pyaar karwaye aa. Kyun? Kya galti hai meri? Mene kabhi kuch nahi kaha jab Kavita mujhse door chali gayi thi. Lekin aaj Swara.. Kyun Bhagwan kyun?
No she can't leave me. Doctor wo kahan hai?'
'She is inside but..'
Sanskar was not there to listen him, he already went inside 'Swara?!'
The nurses inside was covering her face with a white blanket when he stopped her 'Kya kar rahi ho? She is alive! How dare you?' he shouted at her going near Swara.
'wo abhi bhi zinda hai, wo mujhe chod kar kabhi nahi jayegi. Never! Understood?'
The doctor followed him and placed a hand on his shoulder 'I can understand, she was your wife. Bohut bada shock laga hai aapko, lekin..'
'Lekin kya? She IS my wife, wo kahi nahi gayi hai, kyun nahi samaj aata aap logo ko? Agar wo zinda nahi hai to mein bhi zinda nahi reh sakta. Wo meri dhadkan hai! Agar meri dhadkan hi ruk gayi to mein kese jee sakta hoon? Kese? Btaiye aap! Hai koi jawaab? Nahi nah? Mein nahi reh sakta uske bina, nahi reh sakta. Wo meri zindagi hai, sab kuch hai mera, kese chod kar ja sakti hai? Saat janam saath rehne ka wadaa kiya hai, itni jaldi thod gayi wadaa? Mein nahi jaane dunga Swara ko, kabhi nahi. Usse aana hi hoga mere liye wapis, aana hi hoga.
