Hi Guys...

So there is a joke in this month's issue of Reader's Digest which I would like you to relate to the male leads of Swaragini. 😊

The joke is a play on a multiple choice question. It goes:

"" I like my man like I like my:

a) Sweatpants: Warm. Resilient. Covered with Cookie crumbs.

b) Babies: Adorable. Potty trained. With a nice crib.

c) Knives: Easy to handle. Clean cut. In the kitchen.

d) Cheese: Sharp. Good with wine. Easily moulded.

e) Books: Novel. Unpredictable. With a Spine.""

So which option do you think suits Sansku? And what about Lucky? 😊

I vote e) for Sansku--he certainly is unpredictable, and is possibly the only male in that serial with a spine (except DP, perhaps)? 😊

Lucky would be b), but I am not at all sure he is adorable...almost the reverse, truth be told... 😊

Anyway, another corollary question I have is, if Sansku is liked as one would like a favorite book, then which book best describes him?

My choice is "The Count of Monte Cristo". Angst driven. Mysterious. Suave persona. And initially came back for revenge! 😊

My cousin, who is also a Sansku fan (though she was earlier---eeeps!! A Sangini shipper----I am slowly converting her to a SwaSan shipper now! 😊), said her choice of book to describe Sansku was 50 shades of gray!! Dear God, for Swara's sake, I hope not!

Please join in guys. Choose which of the 5 options best describes the guys, and if a book describes them, then which one.

Happy Saturday evening all! 😊

Awesome game!!!
I def vote (e) for Sansku- no doubt. Lucky is tricky- I will go with (c) simply because for some like Ragini he's easy to handle and manipulate and to me, he's always been too clean cut (read boring) and I think if he was contained to one room- i.e. the kitchen with his dear wife it would be great!

Book- Oh good lord please not 50 Shades- that thing doesn't deserve to be called a book- it's badly written mummy po*n IMO and if I met Mr Grey, I'd be calling the police 😆.

I go for my all time favourite book forever- Pride and Prejudice. I am a total Mr Darcy fan girl for life, can wax lyrical for hours and if i compare a character to Mr D, you can gauge the depth of my love for him

I see Sanskaar as a Darcy types- strong but mysterious and can be arrogant when he wants. He will also get the job done, like how Darcy dealt with Wickham eventually (Wickham is so Lux- omg!! even down to marrying the annoying selfish sister!!) There's elements of the Darcy-Elizabeth romance here with him being so in love and doing everything and she doesn't want to know/ misunderstands and my real wish is for Swara to totally fall in love like Eliza did with Darcy!!

Sanskaar is definitely E while Lakshya deserves a category of his own.

@50 shades of grey: 🤣

Even I would choose P&P for Sanskaar.

"I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."

^^^ sounds exactly like our Sanskaar 😆😳

Waise Ragini will be an awesome "Gone Girl" 😛

Great post Viji. Got me thinking 😊
Obviously Sanskaar is (e) for me. Novel, unpredictable and with a spine. Perfectly suits our Sanskaar. A man who knows right from wrong, who does not shy away from responsibilities - who is not afraid to accept his own faults - is what Sanskaar is for me. Being a book lover and an avid reader, Sanskaar falls somewhere in between Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice and Captain Wentworth from Persuasion. Also He reminds me of Mr. Thornton (North and South) from time to time. 😊 All these characters were strong - a little bit arrogant but very very kind at heart and never shied away from their faults and also know when to speak up unlike most men. Sanskaar reminds me of each one of them in bits and pieces. 😊

For Lucky my option is uhmmm -- I was going for 'Cheese' and then I realised that he is not too sharp but he can be easily moulded. 😛

Yes, yes, absolutely 100% yes to everything you said about our beloved Sanskaar. Definitely (e) for him, and yes, P&P's Mr Darcy. Although, I think Sansku is not as socially awkward (or whatever you want to call it) as Darcy. 😛 Sanskaar most certainly has a spine, and he's proven how unpredictable he can be. Being the only Maheshwari with a logically thinking brain is quote the novel concept too. 😆

And yeah, Laksh is easily manipulated, but then again, he's like cheese in that sense too (but not sharp!). I can't make up my mind about him, to be honest. 😆
