As you know, I always love your posts, and this time, I so, so, wanted to see things the way you've written them. But, I don't know, probably this is me being massively nitpicky (is that an oxymoron, BTW? 😊) I still found Swara's "no more friendship" very unlike her, and IMHO, not suiting an otherwise wonderful scene. I still feel that dialogue took the sheen off it, for me at least.
Some people have been asking me on my thread, whether I expected Swara to jump into Sanskaar's arms immediately, or hug him! 😛 That's like the absolute farthest thing from my mind. Of course, Swara would be angry, frustrated, irritated, all of that. I don't have a problem with angst or frustration, most my OS/SS have it in liberal doses 😊, you & I were discussing this the other day when you gave me that lovely comment on my last OS. My TS before was, if anything, even more angst-y 😛
But here's the deal: I can understand Swara feeling sooo massively irritated at Sanskaar right now, and not even perhaps, wanting to let him down gently or politely. But, lets not forget, this is the girl who repeatedly says "Ragini is still my sister, she's not my enemy". When Lakshya abuses her and Sanskaar gets upset, she rationally explains why Lakshya feels that way.
She is perceptive enough to make excuses and understand motives for her ex fiance and her murderous sister, but wants to just say "you & I are not friends anymore, just our mission now!" to Sanskaar beacause he confessed he loves her?
Again, not wanting to be nitpicky, I could even understand her saying, angrily, that he let down their friendship. But saying she wants to snap the friendship, given all the value she attaches to relationships and all the empathy/ understanding/ sympathy she shows Lakshya and Ragini (Ragini doesn't deserve it by a mile), this dialogue by her, seemed OTT. Just unlike Swara, at least, IMO. Coupled with the fact that she also says their mission is the only thing that matters now, this dialogue even seemed completely contradictory. Where is the question of their mission if she wants to cut off ties?
I just wish the dialogue had stopped with "I can never feel this way about you, I have lost all faith in love. Don't ever bring this up again, otherwise I would have to avoid you, give up our friendship" 😊
A last warning types. 😊 Achieves pretty much the same effect na:
1) Sansku feeling quite heartbroken
2) Swara venting out her pain and frustration
3) Laying the ground for future track where Sansku will never force his love on her, but will not deny it, either. He may just believe she cannot love him back.
