Ragini has already crossed the line of pursuing her dreams and has simply walked into the realms of insanity. Most probably she was always a weak creature and this combined with lust and greed have made her mentally unhinged. Her moral fabric is wrong and that has nothing to do with being strong emotionally and mentally. Most hardened criminals are mentally and emotionally strong but in the wrong direction..

I also disagree she should become mature and then love should bloom in her life because her acts are not the immature acts of a kiddish person. Her deeds are of a cold blooded criminal. And for that due punishment is deserved by her.

Thank you.

I believe that no matter what the circumstance... Or how low one stoops... You can always redeem yourself... Nobody can be written off... With the correct support one can always find their way back.

Ragini should definately face the consequences of her action... Jail time is a definite... It is for her to take it correctly, strongly... To learn from it... So that her character can grow.

I don't think lust or greed is ruling her actions... Her wanting to consummate her marriage is out of fear of loosing laksh. Everything she is doing is because of this innate fear she has. She is so deep in it... That she feels she has no choice.

I don't think Ragini loves laksh... She is somebody who has no self worth... She doesn't believe in herself... First her life revolved around her dadi... And now laksh. She fears rejection... For once her truth comes out... She will not only lose laksh... But everyone.

Her moral fabric is not wrong... She is well aware that she is doing wrong... What she has done is she is silencing that voice within her... She has decided the end justifies the means. She took one wrong step... And because of it is taking more wrong steps...

She is feeling remorse... Hence constant tears... Only she is ignoring it... Hardened criminals feel no remorse.

Cvs need to focus on her realisation and redemption. I hope they will not brush the issue and her wrong doing under the carpet.

Edit

Ragini is very immature... Were she mature she would have realised that marrying a person in love with your sister is not going to lead to happily married after... Were she mature she would not want a man who rejected her twice for a life partner... Right now, she is like an unruly child... Stomping her feet for her favourite toy.

I loved reading this debate. Really interesting analysis on Ragini. I agree with a lot of what you said. I think Ragini is like those characters in Mahabharata where she is not totally beyond repair but the thing is she has done so much wrong and is on a spiral where she has no will to really stop. I think your right that her moral fabric is present but her selfishness, which she has suppressed for so long has now broken through and she has no real backbone- interesting as her father in a different way also lacks true spine? However, as we are in serial world and they have to take the story forward I am convinced there will be a prolonged redemption track and after that she will be "saved". I just hope this is done properly and her genuinely evil and criminal misdeeds are not brushed under the carpet.
On a different note, I agree with everyone else that Sanskaar simply highlighted something in her that was latent, if it wasn't him, it would be someone or something else. That is the thing with repressed people- they lash out spectacularly at some point. Her issue is she doesn't want to be responsible for anything, she has a genuine victim complex and such people are always dangerous.

Ragini is weak because she cannot suppress her desires !! When it comes to destroying others lives she is strong enough.

I donot call such a person weak. I call her extremely selfish and ruthless. And yes the only person she loves is herself. The day she will find her father opposing her she will harm him also.

The tears are crocodile tears. When you feel remorse you hesitate at least for a second before doing something wrong. She doesnot. She has convinced herself that she is right.

Every criminal at one point of time or the other especially in the initial stages has to convince himself or herself that she is doing the right thing for XYZ reasons.

Ragini has also crossed that stage. And I agree where you said that she needs jail time. And for her sort of crimes minimum jail term is 10 years. If she becomes a good person after that well and good.

The point where I had mainly disagreed was love blooming between her and Lakshya. Lakshya is not my favorite character right now but even he doesnot deserve Ragini. He deserves a good life so would prefer a new girl him though I know in serial land this is not going to happen.

Glad your enjoying the different opinions.

Life is all about hope. Nobody deserves to be put in a box and labelled... Life has too many colours...

You have highlighted a very important point... Victims complex... It is very dangerous if not dealt with correctly.

What Ragini will eventually need is acceptance from her family despite her flaws... And together with their support and lots of psychological support from professionals to learn and be given the tools to rebuild her life.

One thing that I find sad is that swara, shomi, dida have not considered the emotional and mental state Ragini is in. Due to drama quotient for trps, it has been over looked. I would have really liked to see a scene where shomi sits Ragini down and talks to her about her actions... The drugs, the murder attempt. Question her on actions and the consequences... Ragini needs to hear it clearly... Then she cannot hide from its reality.

Excellent discussion going on...I agree with both anglepureness and billorani...had this been for real I without even batting an eyelid wd hv agreed with billorani. ..but since this is reel I think angel's theory would make more sense and mostly cvs wd be following that route to redeem ragz...

but one thing I must say I don't think ragini is weak...oh we all know she would not go to jail thnx to swara...but its gonna be a hell of a journey for her...she's going to cry tears of blood...n ofcourse I think her marriage will not break all thnx to the vachan lux gave dadi in front of the krishna-radha idol...so primarily her journey will start after the revelation and how she copes in a marriage where thrz no love or trust along with the fact that she will hv to bear the consequences of her actions from all...

Amongst all this ragz drama, I want swasan together in love. ...Fan girl in me has started dreaming again...

Totally agree.
She is selfish and ruthless... We all have these traits... We choose what we want to be... What traits we want to attach to our character and what we don't want... It was quite a surprise when Ragini chose to feed these traits.

I feel it is not too late... There is still hope... My only worry is that if cvs continue to let Ragini get away with her schemes... Which will only get worse with time... Then the Ragini we knew and loved will be lost forever.

I too mentioned laksh coz it is reel. :)

@angelpureness Even I loved Ragini's character at a time. She was shown sweet innocent and at the same time righteous firm and strong. CVs literally hacked that character to pieces for TRP.
Also enjoyed discussing a complex character like Ragini with you😊😊
