Hello this is Preet, back with an another OS š Thanks to all for appreciating my previous stories,i hope you will like this one as well š³
Sanskar was lying on a soft grass that grew in tussocks. Each tussocks was wild and green, soft as tightly woven carpet, soft to the touch. Everywhere around you could smell the fragrance of the flowers, like a bowl of sun warm ripened by fruits, sweet and soft like the fume of peace and silence. Fresh air filled his lungs and he felt refreshed and exhilarated.
He was looking up at the sky, the blue sky. The sky was like a diamond, clear and shining. The high sunlit clouds drifted across it.The sun shone brilliantly and the water in the pond glittered invitingly. The pond was bathed in a golden hue by the gentle sunlight and the water was as clear as crystal.
Swara was busy reading a book with his back against the trunk of a shade majestic Magnolia tree; the long sweeping branches of the trees blossomed into vibrant colours. A gentle creature floating in the wind, with iridescent and soft wings hovered above the flowers and gently layed on Swara's palm.
Sanskar thoughts were interrupted by Swara's voice 'Sanskar look here' she said softly showing him the beautiful butterfly.
'Hm? Kya hua?' sitting on the grass.
'Shh' but the butterfly already flew away.
Sanskar raised his left eyebrow, questioning here.
'Butterfly thi, anyways leave it. Kya soch rahe the?'
'Bas kuch nahi, bohut dino ke baad itna sukuun aur shaanti mili, warna roz roz ke drama se thak geya tha ghar par'
'I understand' she said smiling.
They could hear kids voices' around playing and laughing with their parents. Dogs running to catch frisbees and a ball, stopping to drink water from a nearby creek. Gentle breezes started through Swara's hair. Squirrels were chasing each other up and down trees.
A small kid runned towards them following the rolling ball. The ball stopped near Swara and Sanskar.
Sanskar took the ball.
'Uncle uncle, ball do na?' the small kid asked.
'Hmm, nahi' replied Sanskar.
'Sanskar? Dedo na' replies her.
'Pehle yahan aayo' he says to the kid.
The kid goes near him, he must be 3-4 years old. Sanskar makes him sit on his legs.
'Pehle ye btao ki tumhara naam kya hai?'
'Varun'
'Bohut hi pyaara naam hai. Ball chahiye?'
'haan'
'To pehle ek kissy do mujhe' extending his cheek.
Varun kissed him on the cheek and Sanskar takes out a chocolate bar and gives him. 'Take this'
Varun takes it and goes back to his parents.
Swara is looking at Sanskar. 'Oho, kitne cute lag rahe the tum dono. Seems like you love children am i right?'
'You know what Swara? Seeing little children playing is one of the most beautiful sights in nature.
I love kids because they are fun to play with and I love their honesty. They just say whats on their mind without beating around the bush and I love that about them. I love their innocence and care free lifestyle. I like kids because they're beautiful, wide eyed and full of hope-less tarnished than us; when a child is small it really is an absolute joy to see it. Look over there Swara. Kese khel rahe hai vo chote chote bacche, koi tension koi problem nahi hai, bas masti kar rahe hai. It's an eye-delight watching the. Kehte hai na ki bacche mann ke sacche' he said with sparkling eyes.
'Oho senti master, emotional hogaye tum to' she laughed trying to make him smile. She never saw this side of Sanskar and was quite pleasant to see that he loved kids as she loved them as well.
'You know Swara, jab mein aur K.. Kavita saath the' his voice shaked a bit 'humne bohut sapne dekhe the, shaadi ke aur baad ke. Usse bhi bacche bohut psand the,she used to love kids, humari shaadi ke ek din pehle hi ussne baccho ke naam soch liye the: Ayush aur Sia. Lekin shaadi ke din...' Tears started flowing from his eyes.
Swara came near him to comfort him.
'Sanskar, tum Kavita se bohut pyaar karte the na? Mein tumhari aakhon mein dekh sakti hoon' she said looking in his eyes.
'Swa.. Swara mein wo' but Swara interrupted him.
'Sanskar mein janti hoon ki tum Kavita ko bhul nahi paye abhi tak, phir bhi tumne mere liye yeh shaadi ki, tumne mere saath diyan. I can't thank you enough for your support.'
He just looked at her, he was not able to tell her that Kavita was her past, SHE was her present, he wanted her to be with him always. He was not sure whether he was falling in love with her, he just knew he was comfortable with her. He could spend days and days admiring her.
He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
'Swara this is your 205th thank you'
'206th Sanskar' she precised smiling.
'Oh so tum bhi counting kar rahi ho?'
'Ofcourse Mr, and i have also counted the numbers of handkerchiefs you gave me so far' she grinned.
'Not bad, you seems to be a small mathematical genius'
'What do you mean by small? Huh'
'Well ab yeh mat kehna ki you are tall, and you know what? Mujhe lagta hai ki wo chote bacche tumse zyada lambe hai' he said teasing her.
'Haw, tumhe eesa lagta hai?'
He nodded.
She started hitting him with her book.
'Swara, dard ho raha hai'
'Acha? To mujhe kya? Choti kaha mujhe haan?'
'Accha sorry sorry, aage se nahi kahunga' he laughed and took the book from here.
He stood up and raised the right arm with the book. 'Book chahiye Swara?'
'Sanskar give me the book back' trying to jump and reach out the book, but Sanskar was quite tall than her. She jumped a second time, failing again, but this time she slipped and fell on him. Their eyes met, the world around disappeared, a dreamy smile lit their faces and their eyes glazed over. A gentle breeze blew across Swara's hair. It fingered her hair freeing the ribbon that tied them.
It was a magical moment.
