Sharmistha and Shekhar come to Maheshwari mansion and ask if they can bring Swara home for a few days as she has been through a lot. DP says that she can go home for Janmashtami and stay for 3 days. Swara comes to her room and happily drags her suitcase.
Sanskaar comes into their room and asks her, "All set?"
"Yes Sanskaar. All set. Finally I am going home. This room is all yours now."
"You don't have to fight with me over AC."
"Yes.."
"We don't have to plan against Ragini."
"Yes.."
"You don't have to listen to Mom's taunts."
"Yes.." Swara wonders where this is going.
"You don't have to feel guilty of me sleeping on that couch. "
"Sanskaar, what are you trying to say?"
"Nothing in particular. Did you leave anything behind?"
"No. I have taken all my things. Come Ma Baba are waiting for me." Swara starts to leave .
"Swara? " Sanskaar calls to her. "Your earrings."
"Oh how did I forget them here? Thanks Sanskaar" She once again turns to leave.
"Swara, your bangles."
"When did I take them out of my bag? Never mind. Let's go" Swara again turns to leave.
"Swara, your guitar."
"Oh. This is my life.. can't forget." She smiles and turns to leave.
"Swara, your scarf."
"Sanskaar, you are making me feel like I have not done any packing. Anything more left? My neck is starting to hurt from turning so many times."
"Swara, are you sure you want to leave?"
"Sanskaar, this is a fake marriage. I can't stay."
"Swara, but my feelings for you are not fake."
"What are you saying, Sanskaar? "
"Swara, let's face it.. I am sure you will never be able to forget Laksh, especially when he is right next door. It has been 5 years and I still can't forget Kavita knowing she is no more in this world. "
"Let's not talk about all this now. Everything is going to be fine. Let's keep it that way."

"Nothing will be normal. That couch, this bed, AC, cupboard, Dresser, Window, nothing will be normal again."
Swara tries to interrupt him but he takes her hand and drags her with him to all the places that remind him of her. "Swara, every time I stand at this window, I will remember your tensed face. Every time I stand at this dresser, it will remind me of you getting ready for the muh dikhayi. I may not be able to keep anything in this cupboard again. I may never be able keep the AC below 25. Talking about this bed and couch, I wouldn't mind sleeping on the couch watching over you for the rest of my life."
"You are just getting emotional. You will forget me in a few days."
"Shut up, Swara. I am not done yet." He clutches her shoulders.
Swara looks at him bewildered.
"Swara, Swara, Swara, you are not understanding. I am not saying I love you... but I care for you. A lot more than I should care for a friend. When someone says bad about you, I feel like shouting that they don't know you. The real you. The real Swara Sankaar Maheshwari. "
With that, he releases her. Swara steps back, confused, taking in all that Sanskaar just told her. What exactly was that?
"Shona, are you ready yet?"
Swara stood in the trance thinking. Not thinking. She didn't know what was going through her mind. She was drawing a complete blank.
Sharmistha held her by shoulders. "Shona? Shona!"
She blinked and saw her Ma. She hugged her, "Ma. Sorry to keep you waiting. Sanskaar and I were discussing something." She looked at Sanskaar who was sipping water at side table. "Why don't you go down? I will be there in 10 minutes."
Sharmistha asked her to come soon and left.
"Sanskaar..."
"What have you thought, Swara?"
"Can you repeat what you just said?"
"Swara, may be you are right. After so long I have met someone like you. May be I was getting senti. Never mind. Shall we go? Your Ma and Baba are waiting."
"Sanskaar, can you say the same thing looking at me?"
"Swara, let it go."
"I need to be honest with myself. I can't let it go. I agree I cant forget my first love but..."
A hope flickered at Sanskaar who was waiting for her to complete the sentence. "But what?"
"I can't deny that you stood by me when everyone, even the person I thought was love of my life stopped trusting me. You gave me strength when my biological father lost his belief in me. You fought with the whole family for my respect knowing one mistake from your side and you would lose all this once again."
"Swara. Let's go."
Swara holds his hand and asks, "Are you sure you want me to leave?"
Sanskaar halts. "Are you sure you want to end this fake marriage?" Swara asked again.
Sanskaar had tears forming in his eyes. He wanted to stop her from leaving. But what she was doing was right in society norms.
"I am asking you something, Sanskaar!" Swara raised her voice and pulled his hand turning him to her.
Sanskaar crossed the short distance between them in a flash and hugged her. "What can I say, Swara? I don't want you to leave me but I have no right to stop you."
Swara hugged him back. "I too don't feel like going. But I am fed up of Ragini's everyday dramas. Also this is a fake marriage and I should not stay here like this."
He straightened but not releasing his arms embracing her. "Shall I suggest something?"
"What?"
"Marry me."
"Sanskaar, we are already married in the eyes of your family."
"No a real marriage with all rituals before all the family members. The care that we have for each other is enough for this relationship. Please Swara, will you marry me?" He held her hands and asked her.
Swara nodded. "Sansk.. Yes Sanskaar. I will marry you." Swara hugged him and this time it was easier for them to get lost in the hug.
"Then let's go down and stop this fake marriage drama once for all." Sanskaar extended his hand and Swara took it.
As they walked out of their room, they find Sharmistha at their door. "Ma?"
"Yes I have heard everything. You are doing the right thing. I will support your decision. Sanskaar, thank you!"
The trio come downstairs. Sharmistha walks to Shekhar, "Shall we leave?"
"Not yet. These two have something to tell everyone."
Sanskaar and Swara walk down the stairs hand in hand. "We are frankly tired of hearing that our marriage is 'fake'. So we have decided to get married again in front of all of you with every ritual and custom."
Ragini and Laksh are shocked to hear this announcement. Ragini stares at Swara who just stares her back. Laksh feels a stab in his heart to having to watch the girl he loved marrying his brother in front of him.
Swara takes everyone's blessings. Durga Prasad says that Swara will have to stay with her parents until the marriage takes place. Swara and Sanskaar agree to it. Sanskaar offers to drop Swara and her parents at the Baadi. From here, their new journey starts.
