22-23 Feb: Of Indulgence, Rights & Secrets

So many developments over the last two episodes , some subtle and some not so subtle.

What struck me the entire episode yesterday was how much Karan indulged Naina. When she tried to give him sabji, he refused but then she said its not spicy and he took it. He could have refused and in font of everybody, she would not have insisted. But he let her be. When Naina came up with the entire thing about him staying and her having spoken to Nirmala, he didn't look annoyed but a tad surprised and a whole lot amused. Aww! It was cute! 😳 He also didn't tell Sharda anything, for her sake mostly but also a bit for Naina's, cause he realized her fears were not baseless. I loved the bit where Naina smartly stopped her mother from touching Karan's head. Nicely done Naina! She has imbibed his aversion really well.

Simultaneously, Naina has also started feeling some sort of haq on him. When she very decidedly said that he should stay, it was with a little sense of her right. Later in their room, she gave it back to him nicely on why he shouldn't go out and sleep. The thing with Naina is, she hates it when Karan does things in half measures. Gatbandhan opened so shaadi didn't happen. Didn't tell truth but still wanted to go sleep outside. She rightly called him out on it and said that he has to maintain that facade. Karan was frustrated no doubt, but before he could say anything, Meghna heard.

I loved the sisters' scene! How Naina, finally after bearing the entire thing since the wedding, couldn't take it anymore and confessed everything to her sister. She said that Karan doesn't consider it a marriage but she never put the gatbandhan down and will fulfill the vows. I loved it when she was asking for reassurance from her sister because she being the younger one and the one in her sister's shadow really needed it. And Meghna gave it to her. It killed her to agree to not interfere and let Naina be but she did. I really really adore their bond!

Then came that happening theft scene. It opened so many questions. Karan didn't hold on to the thieves and everybody saw. Meghna totally took out her frustration at Naina's situation on him in the guise of berating him for the theft thing and interestingly, Karan looked guilty. Almost as if he acknowledged everything she said. But then when Kunal started questioning him, his expression completely changed that instant to one of disgust and anger. Samridh was brilliant here! What a swift and emphatic shift in expressions! He responded by saying that Kunal knew his reasons so why was he shouting and asking him this? So much history between these two. Naina, in the meantime, wasn't even considering any of this. Her only thought was what is Karan hiding within himself and how he doesn't say anything to anybody. You are asking the right questions Naina! They will soon lead you to the truth.

How happy did Karan look when he got the first batch of jalebis?? He made such a cute boyish face and said Thank you! Awww!! Looks like nobody has ever given him anything first in life. 🥺

And LOL at Vaibhu asking him about the Chhatta!! Don't worry Naina, even we want to know the "Chhate ka rahasya". 🤣

Not going to add much, you've caught the important bits, as usual! Changes are happening on both fronts and am enjoying them. Also, I love how the family is kinda doting on Karan 🤣

As we expected, Meghna already started to grow some bitterness toward Karan. She'll misunderstand him a lot and it will only get worse from here on, until the final dhamaaka. I just want to hug our boy 🥺 I don't exactly fault Meghna although, it's questionable whether it was right or not to let out her frustration on him. But he is hurting her sister in her eyes so... Am more upset with Kunal 🤔 As Karan said, you know the bloody problem - no need to put Karan in a spot if you cannot defend him, at least. But I guess that's where their differences start: Kunal knows, but never truly understood. And when he started to question, Karan seemed kinda... I don't know, betrayed? And covered it with anger and disgust 😆

Naina caught on the fact that there are many things her hubby is hiding within himself 😆 Loved how she realized that he doesn't answer back to anyone, and that there's a lot he's keeping inside. It's really sad, actually. Naina has her Di to let it all out, to comfort her, to give her strength so she can keep going on. But Karan doesn't do that with anyone, not even his mother- he doesn't let out his pent up emotions, lets people walk all over him without any real complain. I can already imagine what a heart-breakingly beautiful scene it will be when he lets everything pour out of him for once 💔

Actually, I don't fault Meghna at all. She is deeply attached to her sister and Karan is hurting her. Being an elder sibling, there is no way she will take it quietly. And that's how siblings are na. You lose all your objectivity when it comes to them. She will not place anything above Naina so she took it out on Karan the only way she could. She toh doesn't even know anything. As much as I felt bad for Karan, I really liked Meghna's outburst. I absolutely love it when elder siblings get protective about their younger ones. Its one of my most favourite things to see.

You know when Kunal questioning him came as a coming up before the break, I actually wondered if Kunal did not know the truth because I couldn't think of any other reason why he would be so harsh in public. But he knows and then its kind of sad. I guess he doesnt understand the extent of Karan's issues and thats where the problem between them lies. I don'y know if they did it on purpose or not but it seemed to contradict what Kunal himslef had said earlier about elder siblings looking after younger ones. Meghna is the one who does it in practice. I would love to see when Kunal does it too!

Every little scene showcases how right Naina is for Karan. She understands him in whatever little she knows and asks the right questions. And yes, Karan's breakdown is on top of our wishlist!!

Na, I don't really fault her as I said ke in her eyes, he is hurting Naina - we have already seen that Meghna puts Sharda and Naina above everyone else! But kya karun, am biased - felt so bad for Karan 🤣 But aadat daalni padegi because I have a feeling that we will get to see more such scenes in the future! 😆

Yeah, I was wondering if they put that Kunal-Karan-scene there deliberately to make a contrast to what Kunal had said, the other day. Meghna toh doesn't know much and lashed out as an older sister. But didn't expect Kunal to be this harsh with his bro and that, too, in public 😆 I'll go with the theory that just like the rest, Kunal simply never knew how to deal with Karan's issues. He might try to be a good older brother, am sure, but he has not yet found the right approach. We're already eagerly anticipating when he will publicly protect Karan from an onslaught of insults, aren't we? 🤣

Am really loving how they are proceeding with NaiRan! ❤️ Slow and steady... well, probably because episodes are dragged 🤣 😛
