Yes, he didn't agree 😆 Well, he did feel bad for Sharda and for Meghna and also, his brother, to some extent. But there's also some issues going on between Karan and his father, NK. Like, Karan hates NK's ways and idealogies and doesn't get along with him - when he came back home (after his entry) and met everyone, he was happily talking to his mother, Khayti and Sandhya but the moment he saw NK, he took off. NK, seeing this, threw insults at him and taunted him and said things like they should have sent him to a paagal khaana - Karan was obviously affected, but he didn't retaliate anything back. Similarly, we had other scenes like Karan approaching a room, seeing his father in there and trying to retreat immediately.
Basically, it's some psychological issue. He has difficulties expressing himself and even talking much to people, but with NK it seems to worst. Like, he is totally tongue-tied in front of his father - and NK took full on advantage of that 😆 Said he didn't care if anyone wasn't happy about this marriage or not, it'll happen, bas. So, unlike Naina, who could have refused, her family was supporting her completely - no one was supporting Karan (apart from Khayti but she was a kid), and his dad walked all over him. Kunal might have been able to stop it but he was made to believe that given Karan's issues, Karan would never get a wife, ever, let alone someone as well educated as Naina - and that was that, lol.
