Yes, that one scene I noticed, too! 😆 Seems like NK really doesn't take Karan's touch-phobia seriously. Or, he thought that Karan had come this far, why hesitate like this, now? 🤔

I think it's the latter. NK doesn't take Karan seriously, period. He probably thinks Karan has issues but only in his mind.

And yeah, it's most likely that he doesn't take Karan seriously. It happens in real, too - issues like phobias are treated as if the people are mental or something 😕 No wonder it became this extreme.

The actor didn't have a single dialogue in the entire epi did he?

But his every emotion was portrayed so clearly 👏

His dis gust, hate - Naina will have to bare the brunt - she 'willingly' walked into his caged life. She caused chaos yo his by entering - he's going to wreak havoc in her present!

Even his indifference is going to affect Naina. Despite the circumstances the bond of marriage is between them -

Karan looked as though if he could he'd crawl out if his own skin rather than b at the mandap!

NK doesn't want to acknowledge karan's condition -"I suppose being a Chauhan - there can b no defeciency!!

He was on auto pilot during the wedding - performing the rituals like a robot - but every time a touch came up you could see the recoil in his expression and build up of hate growing for Naina.

When she puts the Mala at the start - Karan expressions was like 'so you're going to go ahead with this?'😆

Karan isn't unsociable - he was active through out MeghNal wedding with his umbrella, completing the tasks that were asked of him

Seems to be the case, doesn't it? I read your comment in Naina's AT, the other day, about how Vishnu Mama's words that no one would give their daughter into the Chauhan family, after this, hit closer to home than anyone can imagine 😆 And yes, he was on autopilot. Performing rituals as they came but whenever something touch-related came up, you could see the unwillingness, the resentment in his expressions and the way his hands twitched and clutched.

I must admit: Although, all of them are victims of circumstances and NK's ego - I feel worst for Karan. As much as Naina was cornered, too, she still had the freedom to voice a simple Yes or No and know that her whole family would support her (well). Karan, on the other hand - whether he had screamed or been silent like he was (yet, clear in his stand) - it didn't matter. He remained voiceless because his choice didn't matter, they didn't believe that he had the ability to make the right decision for himself. They basically treated him like a child unable to know what is good for him. That would have been bad enough for anyone. But Karan comes with baggage, with issues, and he was far from ready for such a commitment. This was, indirectly, another blow at his self-esteem.

I know he was harsh toward Naina in the precap (though, let's wait and see it on screen, first) - but his expression there, his hands, the crack in his voice... he just looked so broken 🥺

Tough times ahead for bother of them!

Hey all. Thought to add my two bits. You know, Karan doesn't want this marriage. He might not have the self confidence but he actually knows his limits. No one has bothered him in his space before but now, Naina literally sauntered in.

The boy, didn't want anyone. He is happy; no, he is not happy but people leave him alone thinking he wants to be alone. He doesn't want to be alone but doesn't know how to be normal for lack of a better word. His first instinct is fight or flight. He always flees from NK but always fights with Naina. Yet, the same guy doesn't let his mom touch him or his brother or sister. The same guy realized his Dad was wrong and thought about Sharda auntie. The kanyadaan scene, he didn't let Sharda wait for long. Says a lot about this guy. Come on Naina coax the real Karan out for everyone to see.

I watched the SR segment. I think they talked and Karan said Naina was free to leave (this is just me assuming, I don't like assuming because you know what they say about assuming). Felt like Naina told him she isn't going anywhere and she would give this relationship everything. She was crying, he wasn't being mean or anything. The moment she said relationship, he reminded her that they have no relationship. The marriage is a lie, they don't, and never ever will have a relationship. We will see about it dude!!! 😆

Darn it, turned into an essay!! If you have read it without falling asleep, you are braver than I am...😆

I think he is just shocked and is mostly like thinking, do I really have to do this now?

The rest of the rasms, he seemed to be on auto pilot.

Now that you mention it, true: he didn't let Sharda wait for long! Although, I think Sharda and everyone else who noticed Karan's hesitations might worry even more for Naina now. And I agree with everything you wrote - Karan knows his limits, and he knows very well that he is definitely not ready for marriage. Hence, why my heart goes out to both of them, but Karan even more because he has been thrown under the bus, literally. He will take time to find his peace with all of this.

And lol! He isn't exactly wrong there, they don't have a solid relationship. By the way, anyone noticed that Karan and Meghna said similar things? Karan said that relationships cannot be based on conditions. And Meghna said that this was blackmail, you cannot base relationship on something like this. But NaiRan will eventually build up a new relationship and define it - at their own pace 😊

Btw, anyone has any suggestions for the next AT's title?
