He might be all of 23, but Shivin Narang has already made a place in the hearts of people with his two telly outings. Delhi boy Shivin was noticed instantly for his cute boy-next-door looks and charming personality in his debut show, 'Suvreen Guggal Topper of the Year', and is currently seen as Ranvijay in 'Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera'. From being a national level shooter in school, Shivin started modeling while doing his graduation and eventually ended up being an actor.

Talking about his career shifts, Shivin says, "I'd been getting offers to do TV shows for the last two years. But I'm a very moody person and had never given acting a serious thought. When I was in college, I got myself a portfolio and started modeling. That was when the makers of Suvreen... saw me. I went to Mumbai later aise hi ghumne ke liye and auditioned for the show. I was leaving the next day when they called me to sign the contract. It was such a pleasant surprise." He adds, "I was lucky because Suvreen... was a dream debut. The character was exactly like what I am in real life. I had to make no extra effort to play Yuvraj. And because acting happened for me so quickly, all my grooming and learning happened on the sets only."

From playing the lead in a youth show to a family drama, the journey has been an interesting one for Shivin, who's never imagined himself to be a part of the saas-bahu sagas. Talking about his current outing Veera..., he says, "Initially when I was approached to play the grown up Ranvijay, I said a straight 'no'. The child actors (Harshita Ojha and Bhavesh Balchandani) had been brilliant and made the show such a big success. But then I took it as a challenge because the show was something different and I liked my character. I feel it is easy to do romance on screen. But this show was about the love of a brother and sister, and they are the leads in the show which is unusual, so I got tempted."

From playing the young college boy in Suvreen to the loving brother Ranvijay in Veera, Shivin's fan following has also evolved. He laughs and says, "Life is very different now. Initially only young girls would come talk to me and click pictures with them. Now it is their moms as well who say they like! I feel like I have become a part of families now." Talking about how he spends time when Shivin is not working he says, "I am a complete movie buff. I also like to hang out with my friends and sit on the Marine Drive. I believe in enjoying the simple joys of life."
