...CHAPTER 5: CLOSER?...
"I don't think we are married because of love"
Suvreen drove at the lonely road with that thought in her mind. Suddenly a loud screeching sound appears in her ear and an image of a car being hit by a truck in her mind gets her back to her senses. Suvreen pressed the brakes and stopped at the side of the road.
"What was that?"Tears start rolling from her eyes.
That night Yuvraj went home late after his meeting with DJ. He walk into the room and he found the room was empty. Then he open the closet and he found only his belongings left in the closet.
"Suvreen" He silently said to himself.
He ran out of his room to the hall when she bumped into Suvreen who was coming out from the kitchen.
"Suvi" Yuvi said in shock.
"Oye!what happen?"Suvreen said
Yuvi: "You...here...the closet...your belongings" Yuvi pant
Suvi: "Huh?"Suvreen scratches her head "Owh...you are talking about my belongings"
Yuvraj nod
Suvi: "Let's talk over there" she pointed at the dining table
Suvreen poured a glass of water for Yuvraj before sitting on the chair opposite him.
Suvi: "Yuvraj"
Yuvi: "Hmmn" Yuvi replied while drinking
Suvi: "I noe we are not married because of love" š
Yuvraj widen his eyes. Looking at Yuvi's shocked expression Suvreen continued her words
Suvi: "but i don't know the real reason either"
Yuvi: "Suvi...I..."
Suvi: "Yuvraj...I don't know if we really have the husband and wife understanding but I'm sure we can be friends who understands each other"
Yuvi: "Is there anything troubling you Suvi...or is it about earlier? I didnt..."
Suvi: "No...Yuvraj...you don't need to explain.."
Yuvi: "Suvi...are you okay?" Yuvraj reached for Suvreen's hand
Suvi gave a smile
Suvi: "I'm fine Yuvraj...about my belongings...I've place it in the room next to you...its best for us to stay that way...for now..."
Yuvi: "I understand" he gave out a stern smile
Suvi: "Then...I'm off to bed now"
Suvi walk towards the stairs when Yuvraj call out her name "Suvreen"
Suvi: "Hmmn"
Yuvi: "I'm sorry about earlier"
Suvi: "It's okay"
Yuvi looked at Suvreen who is walking towards her room
"We were best friends Suvreen..but i failed to understand you while you...never failed to understand me even once"
Yuvraj room
It's the first time this 3 months he slept alone in his room. He tried to sleep but he couldn't...as if something was missing.He roll himself to the left and close his eyes..the only thing that came up in his mind was Suvreen and her scent.
"Suvreen"He sighed before covering himself in the blanket.
Next morning
Suvreen woke up early as usual...After her morning bath Suvreen stood up infront of the mirror; she's wearing a casual summer dress.šš¼ā¤ļø
Suvreen take a look at the clock in her room and its almost 9 a.m
"Is he awake? Should i wake him up?" Suvreen mumbles herself.
She walk out of her room and stood infront of Yuvraj's room.
Suvreen knocked the door but the were no response from him.She rushed into the room just to found out the room was a total mess;with Yuvraj's clothes on the couch and pillows on the floor.
"What happen to this guy?"She sighed
Suvreen look around the room but Yuvraj was nowhere to be found. She opened the curtain to brighten up the room when she heard someone coming out from the washroom.
Suvreen walk towards Yuvraj's bed and starts tidying the bed "Good morning" She said without facing Yuvraj.
"Morning" Yuvraj said sleepily walking closer to Suvreen
"What happen to..."Suvreen couldn't continue her words when she felt something just fell on top of her causing her to fall on the bed.
Yuvraj P.O.V
Yuvraj was walking towards Suvreen when he accidently tripped on something and fell on top of Suvreen.
His face is a few inch away from Suvi's.His eyes were looking at every part of Suvi's face and his nose just cant stop inhaling the sweet shampoo scent from Suvi's wet hair.
Yuvi's mindthought: "my heart...its beating fast again..."ā¤ļø
He pull Suvreen by her waist and they both get off the bed.
Suvi: "Yuv...Yuvraj"
Yuvi: "Shhh" Yuvi place a finger on suvreen lips.
Suvreen felt Yuvraj was moving her hair to one side of her shoulder.
Suddenly she widens her eyes when she realised that she forgot about her dress zipper. Suvreen looked at Yuvraj eyes before looking at the other side..not willing to face Yuvraj. Yuvraj let out a smile and shut his eyes close, he move his hand to the back of Suvreen and closed the zipper.
"Done" He whispered to Suvreen ear and gave her a peck on her forehead.
"Thank you" Suvreen said without facing Yuvraj
"You are welcome" Yuvi smiled and remove his hand from her waist.
"Thank you again" She walks out with her red face leaving Yuvi alone in the room.
Yuvraj throw himself on the bed and place his hand on his chest "This feeling..whenever i'm close to her..."He shook his head "what is this...its making me crazy!"ā¤ļø
Afternoon
Suvreen planned to hang out with her best friends Annie and Naro,it was the first time she hang out with them after the accident.She drove herself to Annie's apartment that she was sharing with Naro.
Annie: "Suvi...what took you so long?"
Suvi: "Traffic...sorry"Suvi hold both of her ears.
Annie: "Okay princess, less talkie more action now get in the car!!"
Naro: "Hey wait for me!! Wait for me!!"
Annie: "Come fast Naro!"
Shopping Mall
At the Shopping Mall, a tall, handsome gentleman walked through the glass door with another man. And to his right, a young lady ran up behind him.
"Samar!Wait for me!" Alisha shouted
Samar: "Alisha! If you knew you had to walk fast, why did you wear high heels?"
Alisha: "Duhhh..It's the only kind of shoes I have.Now just chill brotha"
Mannu: "You should stop buying heels Alisha"
Samar: "Mannu is right,stop BUYING HEELS!"š
"Hmph!" she pouted, stomping her feet to the ground while Samar and Mannu walked deeper into the Mall.
Suvreen P.O.V
Suvi: "Can we hurry up? we need to get the movie tickets fast!" Suvreen shouted and ran facing backwards didn't realize where she was heading
Annie: "SUVREEN CAREFU" before Annie could warn her,Suvreen saw blackness for a full minute and when she finally shook it all off, she found herself on the ground. "..there's a person... in front of you?"Annie muttered, finishing her too late' sentence.š¤¢
Suvi: "Ouch...what the hell did i hit!?"Suvreen mumbled
"Me" a person groaned painfully while his eyes is still shut.
Suvi:"EH?"
Samar:"Don't you watch where your going? Bumping into a human this hard? What the hell were you doing? 50.. 60 miles per hour?!" he censured, rubbing his chest. "Blind people now a days."š
Suvi: "I am sorry Mister"
Samar opened his eyes "Now do you mind getting...off" His word fades when their eyes locked. He remain in his statue form looking at the lady in front of him with his eyes that was hidden behind his glasses.
"Hey...you!are you okay?say something?"Suvi waving her hand infront of Samar's face.
"Suvi are you okay?"Annie ran to Suvi.
Suvi: "I'm okay but this guy doesn't seems to be okay" Suvi pointing to Samar.
Naro whom was standing beside Annie turn to look at the person "Samar?"
Annie: "What? who?" She turns and saw Samar who is still looking at Suvreen confusedly.
Annie and Naro exchange looks and stare towards Samar.
Suvi: "What...you guys know each other?"
Annie: "Uhmmm..ye...yes...he's my school friend"
Naro: "Yes...Annie's school friend"
Annie: "Suvi...why don't you and Naro get the movie tickets before its too late..i'll have a little chat with my..friend...and join u guys in a min"
Suvi: "Is he okay?he doesn't look like he's okay"
Annie: "He WILL BE okay"Annie tries to convince Suvi "Now go"
Suvi: "If you say so"
Suvreen and Naro walk to the movies leaving Annie and her so called "school" friend to have a talk to each other.
Samar P.O.V
Samar: "Is that...for real?"
Annie: "Yes...Suvreen"
He smiles
Samar: "Suvreen...its really her...i cant believe it"
Annie: "It is really Suvreen"
Samar: "but...she..seems different..."
Annie: "She is"
Samar smiles fades
Samar: "What do you mean Annie?"
Annie: "She not the old Suvreen Samar...she lost her memory in the car crash Samar...didn't Yuvraj tell you about it?i thought u and Yuvraj are best bro's who shares secrets with each other" she added with a sarcastic tone.
Samar: "It means...she"
Annie: "That's right..she don't remember anything about the past...even you" Annie replied as if she could read Samar's mind
Samar was shocked to be listening to the fact that he's now a stranger in Suvreen's life.
Mannu and Alisha who was searching for Samar found Samar talking to a person.They walked closer to him.
Alisha: "Here you are"
Mannu: "Annie...you here?"
Annie: "Shopping"
Mannu: "Owh...Alisha...this is Annie"
Alisha: "Hi Annie"
Annie: "Hi"Annie smiled "I gotta go now...I'm late for movies"
Alisha looked at Samar's face "What happen to you...as if u have seen a ghost"
Mannu: "Samar?"
Samar: "Nothing" He walked away leaving both Alisha and Mannu ran behind him
Suvreen P.O.V
Suvreen and Naro was sitting in the theater when Annie joined them a few minutes before the movie started.
Suvi: "What took you so long?"
Annie: "some old talking going on"
Suvi: "Your friend..is he okay?"
Annie: "He's fine...no worries"
Suvi: "Annie..."
Annie: "Hmnn"
Suvi: "Your friend...have i ever met him before?"
Annie widen her eyes and turn to look at Suvreen who is still in her calm expression
Annie:"Why did you ask?"
Suvi: "The way he look at me...It feels...as if I noe him...closer"
