When a heart breaks, it don't break even, is a line from the song Breakeven, that comes to mind when you watch what Ira Shawney (Simple Kaul) went through in Suvreen Guggal ' Topper of the Year. She has been in love with Rehan Charles aka RC (Mohit Malik) forever. Perhaps even she does not remember a time when she fell in love with him. The first time she saw him in college? The first time she played a prank on him with his keys? And of course, today, she is shattered.

Especially after that one night with him. Drunken stupor or completely lucid, she has a night to remember. And she was in love and her expression was to give everything that was hers to RC. Is RC completely unaware of her state? Did he just spend a night with her, because he was drunk and happy? Is that all it took for him? Is it that he is in love with someone he cannot be with good enough to take affection from someone he knows he would end up hurting? And is he feeling the guilt of having used Ira for something even he at the time did not realise what he was doing?

Falling to pieces is what Ira is going through. She has read the diary that RC keeps. And he has affection for Suvreen (Smiriti Kalra). Even Suvreen will see that diary and from what we see, she is going to stop interacting with RC for the foreseeable future. How is this going to pan out? Will there be consequences of that one night? Will there be something that will make RC take a look at the situation and make a decision towards Ira?
