Hello!!
It's me (without my muse) back with the sixth part. Before I begin however, I would like to dedicate this chapter to two of my special friends on IF- Menika (BrunoMars ) and Hinal (Basket101). You two rock!!!

"Yuvraj main bore ho rahi hu," Suvreen whined for 50th time.
It was almost 4.30 but it was still raining ceaselessly.
"Toh main kya karu?" Yuvraj asked a little irritated.
"Aur kuch nahi toh mujhse baat toh kar lo," Suvreen replied back.
Yuvraj, who was watching a football match on his laptop, shut down his laptop and sat on the bed, facing her.
"Theek hain, theek hain, chal kuch khelte hain," he complied.
Henceforth, both played the game of Snakes and Ladders, before Suvreen frowned, "Main nahi khel rahi." Saying thus, she crossed her arms and looked away.
"Kyun? Main 5 baar jeet gaya isliye?"
"Nahi. Tumne cheating ki, isliye."
"Maine cheating ki? Main teri tarah nahi hu Topper."
"Tum kya bolna chahte ho ki main cheating karti hu?"
"Aur nahi toh kya?"
This way, for the next 15 minutes both continued fighting with each other. In the end, Suvreen gasped, "Main thak gayi. Baaki ki ladai TO BE CONTINUED."
"Okay done," Yuvraj countered, catching up his breath as well.
"Yuvraj tumhare paas radio hain na. Chalao na, please?" Suvreen said as her breathing went back to normal.
So, Yuvraj got up and tuned in to his favorite radio station. The RJ uttered, "Aaj ke iss suhane weather mein pesh hain aap sabke liye ek mast gaana."
The song, "Hum tum ek kamare mein bandh ho" played.
Both Yuvraj and Suvreen looked at each other at the same time.
However, before the situation got any more awkward, Yuvraj changed the radio station. This time the song "Zara zara" blared.
Yuvraj again changed the radio station. But this time was no better either; now the song "Kuch khaas hain" was on.
Yuvraj after changing few more stations ultimately gave up.
He switched off the radio. "Pata nahi kaise kaise gaane chalakar rakhte hain ye RJ. Koi nahi Topper hum TV dekhte hain."
All the while, he carefully avoided looking in her direction.
As he switched on the TV, the final scene of the movie "Jab we met" was playing. Shahid and Kareena were sharing a passionate kiss. Seeing this, Yuvraj shifted uncertainly.
He did not want a repeat telecast of the radio incident. So this time, without changing the channel, he simply switched the TV off and resumed his position beside Suvreen.
Suvreen who has been quiet all the while spoke up, "Ab kya?"
Subconsciously, she touched her left cheek and shuddered a little. It was then that Yuvraj noticed that her left cheek was a bit swollen. He then remembered about the episode with the goons. Even thinking about them made him seething with anger. He knew that if it wasn't for Suvreen, then he would have certainly killed the jerk who had slapped her.
Dismissing his murderous thoughts, he focused his attention back to Suvreen. He chided himself for being so careless.
Silently, he got up. "Topper, tu yaha ruk main 2 minute mein wapas aata hu."
Suvreen was about to ask him where he was going but the very next moment he dashed out of the room.
She sat there confused. Then she looked out of the windows and smiled. Today so many things had happened. The rain dance, the fight with the goons, the ghost incident, her helping him out of his shirt (her cheeks reddened at the thought of his body), his childhood photograph, the Tom and Jerry chase and so much more. Every single touch, every single caress, every single word… the unreasonable joy bloomed inside her like a flower. She did not want today to end.

Like Yuvraj said, he came back exactly after 2 minutes.
He had an ice pack along with him.
Surprised, Suvreen looked at him in askance.
"Topper, tu na ek number ki gadhi hain gadhi. Jo baatein nahi bolni chahiye, wo bolti hain aur jo bolni chahiye, wo nahi bolti."
It was a second later that Yuvraj realized what he had said. Therefore he quickly rectified it. "Mera matlab, teri chott se tha."
He rushed at her side and handed her the ice pack. As Suvreen applied it at her left cheek, she squirmed and a moan escaped her lips.
"Main nahi laga rahi koi ice pack," she handed him the ice pack back.
Yuvraj gave her the "stop behaving like a child" look.
He tried convincing her to apply the ice pack on her cheek but it was in vain. Suvreen was adamant.
"Achcha tu apni aankhein bandh kar, pakka promise bilkul pata nahi chalega," he tried one last time.
Thankfully, this time she conceded and closed her eyes. Yuvraj shifted closer to her and slowly but firmly applied the ice pack on her left cheek. She again jerked but now, he held both of her hands.
He repeated the procedure until he was certain that it had sufficiently stopped the burning.
"Dekha ho gaya na? Aur tujhe pata bhi nahi chala," he said in a friendly tone.
Suvreen observed the double entendre in his words. But before she could further ponder about it, her eyes shifted to their entwined hands.
Seeing her eying their hands, Yuvraj promptly withdrew his hands and shifted back a little.
Suvreen pursed her lips but did not comment on it.
Suddenly, Suvreen's phone rang.
She expected that it must be her mother but was pleased to find that it was Tultuli.
Excitedly, she picked up her phone. "Hi Tultuli," she bounced her head back and forth.
Yuvraj evidently felt the need to give her some space and so, he left the room mouthing, "Main bahar hu."
Suvreen nodded and then diverted her attention to Tultuli.
Tultuli: Kya kar rahi hain?
Suvreen: Kuch nahi bas Yuvraj se baatein kar rahi thi.
Tultuli: Yuvraj se… oh ho…
Suvreen: Tultuli, eisa kuch nahi hain.
Tultuli: Waise, tu apne ghar pe nahi hain?
Suvreen: Nahi… wo main… wo main… Yuvi ke room mein.
Instantly, Suvreen heard a loud thump.
Suvreen: Kya hua Tultuli? Kya gira?
It was moments before she heard her voice.
Tultuli: Suvreen… tu Boy's Hostel mein hain??
Suvreen self consciously straightened the crisp shirt that she was wearing.
Suvreen: Haan… toh?
Tultuli: Toh… kuch nahi.
Suvreen: Tultuli mujhe pata hain ki tu kya soch rahi hain.
Tultuli: Sachchi kuch ulta pulta nahi soch rahi. Waise, kya Yuvraj abhi hamari baatein sun raha hain?
Suvreen: Na-nahi. Wo bahar hain. Achcha sun Tultuli tujhse bohot saari baatein karni hain, par abhi nahi, theek hain? Main tujhe raat ko call karungi. Bye!
Tultuli: Hmm… bye!
Suvreen hit her head lightly. She should have known better then tell her about Yuvraj. Now, god knows what she must be thinking.
"Topper kya soch rahi hain?"
Suvreen jumped at his sudden arrival. "Yuvraj tumne mujhe darra diya."
"Sorry… waise kya bola teri friend 'Tultuli' ne?"
"Kuch nahi… bas yun hi."
Yuvraj plopped on the bed, beside her. "Waise bada ajeeb naam hain- Tultuli." He contorted his face to annoy her.
"Tumhe usse kya?"
"Nahi kuch nahi," he tried to hide his smile.
"Tum meri friend pe hans rahe ho?"
"Nahi toh… wo toh mujhe Mannu ka ek joke yaad aa gaya."
"Kaun sa joke?"
"Main bhool gaya." He gave her a smug smile.
"Tum na… tum na… arggh…"Suvreen screamed.
Her reaction immobilized him and he opened his mouth several times before he found his voice, "Shant gaddadhari Bheem, shant."
Suvreen patted herself. She, Suvreen Guggal, was able to intimidate the great Yuvraj Singh. Huh! That was something to boast about.
"Isse pehle hum dobara ladein, yeh ladai TO BE CONTINUED wali ladai hain ya nayi wali hain?"
Suvreen burst out laughing. Seeing her laugh, his tension at her sudden outburst ebbed a little and he too laughed along with her.
"Topper tune toh mujhe dara hi diya tha."
"Sachchi?" Suvreen again laughed as her head hit his shoulder and her hands gripped his shirt.
When she realized what she was doing, she stopped laughing and straightening her hair, she pulled back.
Out of habit, Yuvraj leaned towards her and snuck her escaped tendrils behind her ear.
As soon as she felt his scorching touch, she closed her eyes. But much to her grief, his deft fingers were gone a beat later.
"Chal Topper, baarish ruk gayi hain. Tujhe ghar chhod deta hu," Yuvraj said, as he picked up her dress and tossed it at her.
"Ja change kar le."
He next, went towards the mirror and started combing his hair.
It all happened so fast- minute before he was sooo close to her and then he was ordering her to change- that it took a while to process it.
She looked woefully at his reflection in the mirror and murmured inaudibly, "Mujhe nahi jaana." She walked away clutching her kurti.
Yuvraj's expression mirrored hers. "Main bhi nahi chahta tu jaaye Topper," he whispered brokenly to himself.

Both got ready and mutely made their way to his Laila.
The rest of the ride was silent as they dealt with their miseries.
At long last, Suvreen's home arrived.
"Le Topper, tera ghar aa gaya," he announced.
Suvreen reluctantly got out of his Laila and tried very hard to mask her sad expression. But given her present state of mind, she couldn't.
"Toh phir Bye," she gave a smile which didn't reach her eyes. She struggled to find a way to prolong this moment, to make him stay. She wanted to say so much, to do something but she couldn't come up with anything. So, she stood there speechlessly as Yuvraj pulled back his jeep and drove away.
She sighed. Contrary to her wish, the day came to an end.
Mustering up strength she knocked at the door.
Her mother like a blanket of fog enveloped her. As the exhaustion of the day set in, Suvreen found the hug welcoming.
Her mother enquired about her cheek which she dismissed saying she slipped on the floor. Her mother then, applied some ointment and told her to be careful. They chatted for few more minutes before Suvreen excused herself saying that she had work to do.
Once alone in her room, Suvreen flumped on her bed. She tried reading her Economics book but at the back of her mind she thought about Yuvraj.
It was no use, she decided. Even after one hour she could not concentrate on her studies. As a result, she gave up the idea and took to cleaning her room. Though she didn't like cleaning at all, her present situation got her thinking otherwise.
"I wish Yuvraj yaha hota," she grumbled to herself as her eyes wandered around the room.
Her eyes popped open and she dropped her broom. In front of her was standing the devil himself!
"Kahi main sapna toh nahi dekh rahi?" she asked straightening up.
Yuvraj smirked. "Nahi Topper, tu koi sapna nahi dekh rahi hain."
Yuvraj covered the distance in two long strides and smiled mischievously.
"Nahi main zaroor sapna dekh rahi hu," muttering to herself Suvreen hesitantly touched his face. It was indeed Yuvraj!
She squeaked, "Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?"
"Tujhe kuch dena tha."
"Tum please jao, job hi hain baadme de dena," she replied frantically.
"Aunty abhi sabzi wale ke saath jhagda kar rahi hain, tu tension mat le Topper, kuch nahi hoga," he plooped on her bed as if it was his.
Suvreen at once, bolted her door and asked tersely, "Kya dena tha?"
"Yeh." Yuvraj pulled out a beautiful statue of an angel.
Suvreen eyed the statue apprehensively, expecting it to explode any moment. But when over a minute passed and nothing happened, she grasped it and glowed at Yuvraj.
"Ye kitna sundar hain. Tum ye kab laye? Thank you," she spoke unendingly.
"Wo tu Annie aur Naro ko lekar bohot sad thi na, isliye socha ki-
But his sentence was interrupted as Suvreen kissed him on his cheek. She lingered for another beat before pulling back.
"Aaj ka din mere life ka sabe khubsurat din tha," she acknowledged.
"Mera bhi," he heard himself say. Well, frankly he was in seventh heaven but physically he was still there.
Walking towards the balcony door where he had initially come from, he looked back towards her. "Topper, kal phir milenge?"
Suvreen's mind answered him even before she could stop herself.

Suvreen took out the shirt from her bag which Yuvraj had given her asking her to think of it as a present and slipped it on.
As she lay in bed, she felt the familiar scent and comfort bask her.
That night she slept with a smile, with the knowledge that he will be there for her. Always…
THE END
