Actually, he was butchered much earlier, when Adirath & family first came to Hastinapur. He was the one who initially was condemning Karna for touching a bow. There was the whole conflict b/w Karna and the Kuru senapati about the poisoning of the well, a trial that ended in Karna's favor after Bheeshma bore witness for him about the death of the other witness.

What, priyamvada romancing adhiratha and shaku mama? 🤣 The radhama of this show would have killed him then! She treated karna so badly thinking that he was adhiratha's child from another woman. What would have been her reaction to this?
And what about mamiji? Poor woman, she would have been heart broken! Vaise bhi shaku mama was more worried for his bhanja than mamiji and ulooka! 😭
But now i seriously want to see radhama's reaction. 🤣 😛

I argued for this months ago, when they showed Pandu saving Karna, and brining him home to Kunti and feeding him, and also when Karna joined the Pandavas in helping kill a demon sent by Dury & Shakuni to kill the Pandavas. They should have simply had Kunti reveal to both the Pandavas & Karna that they were brothers, and made Karna the leader of the Pandavas. Then it would have still been funny, but enjoyable.

Heck, they could have then had Karna win Draupadi's swayamvara and Draupadi have 6 hubbies. Vrishasena would have been #1 son of Draupadi from Karna. 😈😆

shrishti, what is your reaction after the "andhe kaa putra andha" part being shown here in this show, they even have made a promo of this nonsense. 😭

Unfortunately...the one who could win Draupadi's Swamvar among the five Pandavas was not the eldest n Kunti needed political backing from a powerful ally like Drupad for her ELDEST son who was the candidate for the throne...Otherwise their claim to the throne would have got weakened.

How many actually believe that Kunti had uttered those words innocently? Not even her fans I know believe she was innocent...everything was pre-planned.

I pretty much disagree w/ the above assertion - that there would have been no polyandry w/ Karna in the mix.

I think it's an open question whether YNS disclosed to Kunti everything that had gone on, given that they had left Bhima and Arjun in a fight w/ Shalya & Karna. The outcome of that fight was not known to them, so had they disclosed that, Kunti may have worried. So they may well have decided to keep all disclosures for after the return of BAD (great acronym for THIS trio 😆

I do think that Kunti uttered those words innocently - and you know where I stand as far as Kunti fandom goes. Nowhere in the texts is there any mention of 'the eldest has to marry first' - that was already disproven when Kunti accepted Hidimbi's marriage w/ Bhima. So Kunti would have had no problem w/ Arjun alone marrying Draupadi. Yudisthir could still have accepted their son as his yuvraj down the road, if that was what was needed to cement an alliance w/ Panchala. Drupada would certainly have preferred it to Draupadi being married to all 5. Or even if a polyandrous marriage was necessary, Draupadi could have married just Yudisthir & Arjun.

Besides, later in the years, when Arjun married Subhadra, it was widely thought that Abhimanyu would be the long term successor to Yudisthir, and not Prativindya. Some accounts have it that Prativindya was governing an area subordinate to Panchala, rather than any area loyal to Yudisthir. I also think that Kunti would have had no problem changing her order to hand Draupadi over to Yudisthir alone, had it been thought that he has to have her hand so that Draupadi could be the empress, as opposed to just one of the queens of the Pandavas.

So I think even if Karna had been w/ the Pandavas and come back and said, 'Mom, see what we've gotten back w/ us', Kunti would still have said, 'Whatever it is, just split it b/w the 6 of you'.

Exit question: Given that Kunti usually gave Bhima half the food and the others 10%, do you think that had she thought it was food, she'd have asked them to give Bhima half the rights to Draupadi, and the remaining 4 or 5 the balance? 😆

It's strange that though Arjun n Lord Krishna were first cousins, they get to know each other only after Draupadi enters the Kuru family.

Whether He was involved in all this or not is debatable. Honestly...I am not sure.

Edit- Yes the Pandavas needed a strong ally for coming back to Hastinapur, especially after the Lakshagriha incident. So...Pandav-Draupadi marriage was the perfect political alliance for that.

To all...All these are speculations based on facts. So...if sentiments of anyone are hurt bcoz of the analytical conclusions, then I apologize.

In Shrimad Bhagvatam, Krishna & Balarama leave for Hastinapur when the Pandavas were on their year vacation @ Varnavarta b4 the house of lac. It's unclear whether they were en route to meet the Pandavas @ Varnavarta, but by the time they arrived @ Hastinapur, they heard about the burning of that house. After that, Satyabhama's father was killed, so Krishna had to return to Dwarka to avenge him. It was during that time that Balarama taught Duryodhan advanced mace fighting @ Mithila.

Chances are during the Pandava stay @ Ekachakra, Krishna found out about what had happened, and decided to go to Kampiliya so that he could get hold of them.

Hey, did they show Karna's mama since Shon's death? I wonder - how did he take that?
