Anyway not much expectations from the CVs...

We have complained a lot about Bhoot-Pisach...I hope they keep her dialogues to
'Na aham varayami sootam' n dont exceed it to gain sympathy for Karna...
Everyone knows wat she had said in the epic...so there is no need to make her dialogues extra harsh to portray her as a 'strong woman'...

I hope they keep her like she was...beautiful, straight-forward, extremely learned, proud, egoistic n intelligent.
There's a thin line between 'pride' n 'arrogance'...I hope THIS TIME, the CVs will learn it n not make her scream n yell at Karna, Kunti, Gandhari, Subhadra n even the Pandavas like they did in Star Plus' Mahabharat.
Nor do I want any overglorification like 'Yeh kanya Aryavrat ka bhagya hain'...etc.

You hope???😲 I hv no hope... If in SB she was like that, then it is confirmed that there will be ' 'double extra' harsh words... I just pray now that there's no jambu fruit incident!! I'll be happy!! They already destroyed the whole show by the portrayal of Karna anyways...

It is true that Draupadi was proud...She was proud of her position which she expresses in Vanaparva n probably in Virat Parva as well but that is kind of situational...
She didnt go around telling people...'I am Agniputri...I am Agniputri...Listen everybody...I am Agniputri'...
I think this is the dialogue that Draupadi will give to Karna at her Swamvar as the reason for the rejection...

Let's see...

As for haters...dont worry...
Draupadi holds the record of the most bashed character in my opinion... 😆 even more than Shakuni n Dushasen bcoz there are few who like to talk about the latter two male characters... 😆
Her glorifications fall short in front of her bashing...
Cant change this... 😭

Karna was famous for his over-pride.I,& almost many of his admirers appreciate this.
Then I dont understand why some people criticise & bash Draupadi's pride??
Some mentality never change.

Well...me n some of my friends have been asking this same question for quite some time...
All we got are tags of being 'feminists' n 'pseudo-feminists'...

I am not saying being proud is good but being selectively appreciative towards one character for one thing n criticizing another character for the same thing is... 🤢
People applaud Karna's pride n sharp words n bash Draupadi for the same...If there are no convincing explanations for this, then I am inclined to believe that this differential judgment is bcoz she was a WOMAN...
And...then again feminism will come in...😆

Anyway...tired of this same old topic...

Characters like Karna and Arjun were great warriors n in those days men took pride in this or so is my understanding...
So we see Karna's pride in his skills which is justified...He was a GREAT warrior n he was proud of it. Period.
There's nothing wrong with that...What I dont support is his interference in the matters of Hastinapur...otherwise he was proud n quite rightfully, given his invincibility as a warrior.

Women took pride in beauty n lineage(this is my personal belief...not a fact)...n Draupadi had all of that...On top of that she was learned n became the Empress...So...she had pride. Period.

Not everyone is blessed with humility...n we see most of the Mahabharat characters being proud of something or the other. So I really dont know y Draupadi's pride is so (in)famous...
Not saying it is a virtue but if someone is blessed with qualities then sometimes pride comes up...I guess that is normal...
What irks me even more is that...various people, in order to demonstrate what a 'proud' and 'strong' woman Draupadi was, make her speak utter rubbish n non-existent stuff...like we have in that animated movie... 😭

@Amrita - I personally do not think people dislike or do not like Draupadi NOT because she was a woman, or she had pride or she was strong or she appears dominating (which she was not, I am sure). If it was because of her being woman, then there is a better option for people to criticise - Sita. No heroine in ancient Indian literature called her husband "a woman in the skin of a man". She directly lashed at Rama's face that she had no interest in living in her sasuraal looking after Dasharatha & his wives. These are just two instances. In fact if you read Valmiki Ramayana, Sita is 1000 times what Draupadi is. No woman or no heroine in Purana or Itihasa is as proud, as strong, as powerful and as dominating as Seeta is. But no one criticises her, no one raises questions on her, no one does speak anything about her for any reason you mentioned. Then why Draupadi? To me, it seems that Draupadi admirers want others to like Draupadi and respect her beyond what they could do. Someone likes Draupadi, good thing...Someone respects Draupadi, no problems... But others have their own thoughts and it has nothing to do with what or who Draupadi was. After reading MB, I felt that Draupadi is being overly criticised and also admired equally for what she was not. Was she not a docile, dutiful wife of five men? If you don't think so, read MB again. She spoke her heart sometimes but she never went to levels of mocking speeches like Seeta or manipulations like Kunti went. It is completely okay if someone has a different take on a character. But trying to make others are also believe the same is not accepted by everyone and people react differently to it. This is how it appears to me.
Trust me, this constant utterance of Draupadi whether necessary or unnecessary irritates people who like her and also who do not like her a lot. You can do it in your own areas, but not there where people of different thoughts and ideas get mixed up. I am sure to be criticised for this. But nevertheless, this is a fact. See, even Siya ke Ram forum is not free of Draupadi. This constant utterance is what keeps many people who actually like her away from discussions. How will one feel if any Karna fan endlessly goes on chanting Karna Karna whether necessary or unnecessary??? He must be mentally impaired, one will think.😆 Same is the case with Draupadi.
PS - I do not mean to hurt any person or feelings by this. Just stated a fact that appeared true to me. I could be wrong as well, and I know that.

Hi Amrita. Long time. And please do not feel bad or offended for my reply. I said what I felt as I consider you sensible and understanding among other fans. It is just my opinion. So do not pester your own head for that. It is not your opinion and it is not what you know. What you know will never lose its originality and value whether others know it or not and accept it or not. Then there is no point in feeling bad for others not agreeing with you. It is their problem, not yours. That is what I meant.
