Same here. I only started watching the show because of Faiz’s auditions and gotta say, I’m disappointed. With the song selection and especially with the pairing with Anu. Their voices don’t match at all, which was obvious ever since the Kalank duet, so why are they still performing together? 🤔 Even the judges resort to just praising Anu, taking away from Faiz. From what I’ve seen in his previous shows, he’s very versatile and has a lot of range. But sadly here he is limited to just one type of songs. I have only loved his solos so far - Kaise Hua and Neele Neele Ambar. The rest of the performances had their moments, like the Main Tera part in Kalank song, and in this week’s performances. But mostly failed to leave a lasting impact. Also, whatever happened to Aru-Faiz singing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai?

Other favorites would be Mani. Have loved many of his. But Salman should let him do solos lol, Mani sounds better than him. Feel like Aryananda is overhyped. So is Rituraj. Only liked his Srivalli performance. He’s good with the techniques but his flat diction is a throw-off. Sayisha is surprisingly great. Especially since Pawandeep let’s her take the limelight. Also like Soyab sometimes. Rest are forgettable. The girls especially seem weak in front of the boys.

That is typical of Sony and TCT.
There were so many songs in Idol12 that were promoted but never telecast!
In the Finale they got Salman, Sawai and Sunny together to sing many songs that they promoted and never telecast any song from this trio.
I was particularly upset, selfishly, that they never telecast a trio performance of Aru/Ankona/Neelanjana.
There were many more in that season.

I consider it cheating. Invite people to watch something that you are not going to show!

Arunita is a difficult singer to sing duets with and in IL12 there are almost no instances when she was overwhelmed by any partner. These are kids with far far less talent.

I feel Faiz is feeling overawed by Arunita's singing, and in this weekend I felt he seems to have overcome that apprehension slightly. I think a few solo performances will do wonders for him. But for his own long term growth he needs to overcome those fears of singing with somebody much more accomplished than him.

Based on the editing jumps, I also feel TCT is editing the performances in such a way that Faiz ends up appearing to sing less than Arunita.

Song selection can be better. Manwa Laage is female oriented originally too.

They really need to let go off the "Arudeep" mindset - then all these problems will be solved. Faiz continues to get duets that Pawandeep and Arunita have sung in II12 or in their various concerts. Once they look beyond "Arudeep" as the criterion then many more songs will be available to them for assigning to Faiz.

One can understand they have licenses for a limited number of songs, but last year there were so many male-female duets that did not involve Pawandeep and Arunita - perhaps they need to look at that list.
