Carver always had a three year plan and he executed well till 10 . From 11 he went clueless. Which is why I guess he is leaving. I wish he left after ten maybe 11 could have been more bearable then.

They should work on contract basis (idk if they it already works this way or some way better than this), work as long as you have a plan of action and a good one at that. When your source is exhausted, quit. No extensions given whatsoever.

Oh, they're the same people. I do remember you cursing some duo last year too, just didn't remember they happened to be the same duo. I don't remember half of the episodes they wrote. 😆 But they wrote some of the episodes I quite liked. Taxi Driver, Holy terror, blade runners, the hunter games, soul survivor, O brother where art thou. Oh but I definitely see a consistent screw up pattern in all episodes they have written. 🤓

You have to respect Kripke for doing exactly this. He left when he knew his plan of work is finished. Yes I crib for him and I want him back but I m glad he loves this show so much that he won't return unless he truly has something to contribute to it anymore. Which is why his work is the most appreciated ones in the whole series. He knows where to draw the line.

I m sure there are some kind of contracts for showrunners too. But since season 10 worked greedy people thought lets sign him for 11 and he went with it.

I think their special instruction at job is to screw up the storyline as far as possible and especially to never ever write the four characters properly into an epi. Thats their speciality. Every other writer then spends the whole year fixing their mess and tada we have a season. 😆 Their other speciality is they are mainly responsible for killing off half the cast. 😆
