Heyy,
So lot of you did not really like the episode and I can understand why. I mean at this point, there are so surprises really left. We know they are going to defeat the big bad, we know they both of them will survive but there will be a catch but I would like everyone to keep some things in mind

The show has been running for 11 years, the story is bound to not be good as it was in earlier seasons because like I said there are no surprises essentially but there are various reasons why we keep watching and loving the show.

The number one reason for watching the show is the fact that they are loyal fans, and I am too. I will keep watching the show even with the bad storyline because I have essentially grown up with this show. Moreover, somehow the show always manages to make me feel sad whenever one of them manages to get hurt and the other does not leave. It has happened countless times now, but Read Meat and now the latest episode they both made me feel things. And at this point we know for sure they would die to save each other but somehow every time its heartbreaking.

As far as about God being bi, I think it was an interesting thing to do you know? Yes very different but good. Lot of people are saying it's a sign to Destiel becoming canon, maybe it is but for me personally it is more than that. Its a huge support to LGBT community who watches the support. So despite it being unconventional, I think its a great step. A step which supports everyone who is out there struggling.

I believe lot of Destiel fans are misunderstood. I ship Destiel but do I want some huge sex scene or even a make out scene? HELL NO! Thats not who Dean and Cas or who Jensen and Misha are. Destiel is about comfort they provide to each other so what I am trying to say is that we dont want the show to be about Destiel, but all we want is just a touch which conveys that they are there for each other in more than friends way.

And just keep in mind that the show has been running since forever, it cannot be perfect but its trying. And actors are doing a great job. There are bound to be loopholes because the show was not supposed to run this long. Tbh its not about storyline anynmore, its about watching the show and enjoying Dean and Sam, and Cas. Its about supporting the show no matter what happens. Its about supporting Jensen and Jared. They dont want to leave untill season 13 now, and neither do I tbh

Things I loved:

1) #Chuckatron commentary.

2) So Chuck!God became canon, and God is a bi. (I don't ship Destiel, and I don't give a tinker's damn about the fandom, but this was cute.) If anyone has seen Matt Cohen's vine on Twitter about Rob being back on the show, my emotions exactly!

3) Can I make it my head-canon that Sam had the amulet (samulet) all this time rather than assuming God putted it there? The silly charm made me scream at that point (the point Jim Michaels tweeted about?!)

4) Dean being a domestic dork with his bear, and Sam's shirt. 😆

5) Dean clearing out people but prefers staying behind with infected Sam (Croatian, dudes!) Sam telling him about his biggest boggart. Dean trying to breathe the fog to get infected himself.

6) I can't tell if God hiding from the Darkness is good or not. All I know is that I always wanted a strong female antagonist in supernatural. Not a fragile tot, who goes foaming in the mouth mad and dies after a single push by that capital G!

7) Chuck playing Dink's song at the end was the cynosure. (If anyone is interested in the link)

Things I hated:

1) Lucifer is still God's favorite?! Someone should hurl Molotov cocktails on me. Come on, Shurley! That rampant douche-bag messed up humanity more than your sister.

2) Though I always love to see protective!Dean, but "Sam in danger again" has become a vogue word. It has to be changed.

All in all, I loved the episode. Vancouver is a really beautiful place!

Here you go! Jared just said the same thing to a fan about the amulet being with Sam all along.

Hola humans. Long time no see. 🤗
I actually did like the episode, and almost on the verge of liking Metatron. Also Rob's voice '
I do have loads to rant but laziness + time shortage.

One of these days and it won't be long
Call my name and I'll be gone
Fare thee well, my honey, fare thee well...

This is kinda stuck on my head. Also I love, LOVE Rob's voice.

Who thinks that God would somehow die while defeating Amara ?
Well Death died, so I wont be surprised by this.

I did always liked the mystery surrounding the whole Chuck- God angle and don't like that all the cards getting revealed. Also, now they have Lucifer , They have Amara and now God , that is like the highest in the power hierarchy. So how are they even going to have a big bad next season without making it kinda petty to the ones in this season.

The fandom. Man, the fandom . I hate hate hate how some parts of the fandom responds to the cast , a cast that takes so much effort to make SPNfamily a family , who are as super friendly and nice as it gets. Destiel or Wincest , or whatever but a part is so irrationally hateful that its just sad.
But then all through my experiences with different fandoms , there is ALWAYS a weirdly hateful part in every fandom , for whom a blind obsession clouds everything else.

Anyway, I wont make myself mad talking about them , so

Haters gonna hate hate hate, but I gonna shake shake shake

Season 12 - You know that God had a sister. Duh. But... What if... What if he had a DAD :O
Then Winchesters outlives God and his family. Boom.

Lemme cry over Robbie leaving the show now.

I just find this whole revelation highly underwhelming also in between seasons makes it less impactful. I was expecting if they ever have to bring God they should do it in the end when he comes for the wrap up. I just never in my wildest dream thought that God will be hiding from his sister and learning guitar. It's like watching God in depression . Its not really a good feeling for me 😆

EXACTLY! They should have rather let the mystery element be there for as long as the show was on air. I too expected God to show up at a time when they could be NO ONE to save the day and expected his entry to be the best-est there ever has been on SPN. Remember how Horsemen's and Death were introduced? And God shows up like this? It felt so underwhelming, unimpactful, and too easy. A revelation that big even if widely speculated should have been done in manner that blew the charts off. This was just so...bleh.

I don't know why J2 agree. Maybe their opinions about life has changed too from then. Happens.

:(

The whole Metatron was so sudden that by the end of it I was like wait are u kidding me ?? He saved the day ? He is supposed to be the bad guy who killed Dean I m so confused with his whole redemption track I don't even know how it started or he just suddenly woke up one day and though time to be the good guy. Well atleast he won't be an angel again .. pheww..

I don't exactly see this as redemption, there's this tumblr post I saw a while ago that sums it up quite well.

Here.

Metatron having a purpose in the story, serving the greater good, does not equate him having a redemption arc. He has no remorse for what he did, despite being able to acknowledge that what he did was totally in the wrong. Bad characters can still be used for good, but that doesn't make them good themselves.

Chuck realizes this, which is why he flat out refuses to restore Metatron's angel status. That much is clear. But if Metatron wasn't the douche we all know him to be, he wouldn't have the guts, or the stupidity, to challenge God the way he did.

Without Metadouche pushing God's buttons, pushing Chuck to the point of flinging him through the doors, Chuck may not have come out of hiding to help. He may still be in that bar, typing away at his inadequate autobiography. Metadouche being, well, Metadouche, was the catalyst to getting God involved. We needed him to propel the story. Chuck wasn't coming out for any reason. Not because Amara was pulling her attention seeking shit, not because Cas was looking for him, not because Dean and Sam broke the world (again and again), not because of anything anyone else did. He came out of hiding because someone finally held up a mirror and called him on his bullshit. Something only Metatron could do effectively.

That doesn't redeem him. That doesn't erase what he did before. Feeding a dog doesn't suddenly make him a good person. This episode wasn't about Metatron getting redemption. It was about how even the worst people can have a positive effect on the world, even if they don't mean to. It was about someone slapping God in the ego hard enough to jolt Him out of hiding.
