Okay, so this is an interesting episode.. unique concept, haven't seen anything like that on Supernatural before. Considering it's running Season 8 right now, that's a big thing.
I knew there was something sketch about that Victor guy off the bat but I just couldn't believe what he did to the three kids. The guy was nuts.. I wonder if this is what happens to all hunters.. those who live long enough to get to middle or old age. Martin, Victor... Love Bobby but the guy did have his issues too. All of the evil, all of hunting's gotta take some toll on the hunters.
Anyway, back on the topic, the episode was very interesting! The plot was sorta unpredictable and it was great to see Krissy back and being the leader of the group. I have to say I enjoyed seeing the protective side of Dean. He was looking out for Krissy during the entire episode.
As for Krissy, I love her guts. She has a great rapport with Dean (was the same the first time she appeared). And I just love the kickass attitude of hers. It was great to see her back. And loved the way the episode ended. The kids were brought together in a wrong way but they have become a family and they're holding on to each other.
Of course, it was a filler episode and no sign of Cas :( But it was a good one. I enjoyed it. It was also very interesting to see the spin on the monster theory. Hunters hunt monsters but sometimes it's the people who become a monster like Victor.
Some of the lines were brilliant!! Loved the brothers' conversation in the beginning:
Dean: Listen, if you wanna take a knee on this one, if you are not feeling up to it.
Sam: What?
Dean: You know the trials, what Cas said, that you got what he can't cure.
Sam: Which means what exactly?
Dean: I don't know. You tell me, are you okay?
Sam: I'm fine. Are you okay?
Dean: Me?
Sam: Yeah, Cas ding you up pretty good.
Dean: And?
Sam: I just wanna make sure you're okay.
Dean: What? Like my feelings?
Sam: If that's what you wanna take about, sure.
Dean: Okay, I tell you what. Why don't I go get some herbal tea.
Sam: Okay.
Dean: And you can find some cowboy junkies on the dial.
Sam: Eat me, Dean.
Dean: And you know what? We are just talking now! Good talk! Nay, great talk! Very healthy!!
Hahahaa I was laughing hysterically when Sam said, "Eat me, Dean." đ Dean's attitude was hilarious. We all know the guy hates heart-to-hearts.
Some other funny lines:
Sam: What happened?
Dean: Teenager, that's what.
Sam: So these kids are...
Dean: Dangerous and off their meds! Yeah, no kidding!
Dean: I'm proud of you.
Krissy: Shut up before I punch you. đ¤Ł
Krissy: You're alright for an old guy.
Dean: I'm really not that old.
Krissy: You keep telling yourself that.
Aedan: Yeah, goodbye, Dean.
Dean: Aedan... Listen, there's something I wanna tell you about Krissy.
Aedan: I know I know, you'll kill me if I ever hurt... blah.. blah.. blah..
Dean: No, no, no. She'll kill you. Good luck!
^ When Dean gestured Aedan to come here, I was like awww... Dean's gonna give him the 'if you hurt my little girl' talk but as always, Dean surprises me đ
Dean: Maybe if we shut that hell hole once and for all, those three can have a real life.
Sam: Maybe they won't be the only ones.
^ This just broke me heart. The boys have been through so much! They deserve a normal life, a happy pie life. So much weight on their shoulders.. I just wanted go in my screen and give them both a hug. đł
Okay, so overall a pretty good episode! Next one is definitely more on the mytharc so it'll be interesting.
