Not watching the show anymore, but IMO, SSEL has stopped being the consummate show it used to be before.
Earlier on, we used to love all the characters, be it Rags, Menka, Yuvi, Suhani, Saurabh etc. It was truly a complete story where each and every character was engaging. Used to love RagMen as villains, but now, whenever my mom is watching SSEL, they just make me roll my eyes. The problem with these characters is that they have nothing to do except plot against Suhani. They would have been more likeable had they had parallel storylines and some semblance of a personality. Menka was earlier a character who used to feel sorry for Suhani at times, but now, she is just Dadi's mindless drone.
Sonu and Vijay were right in quitting. Their characters have just gone from bad to worse. Hope both of them find projects which utlise their talent.
