I know each and every character in a show makes a show and they are all important coz a show can't run on 1 person nor 2 and a proper show is about the whole cast. But somehow suhani is different coz this shows main usp is suhani its her nature, her personality, her qualities and most importantly her skin color that is the shows main usp. And u take away her personality and nature and try to confirm her into an ordinary person u make ppl notice every single flaw of hers and I feel that coz of her character changing and made to be this very depressing, awful, clingy worthless love sick nut that we see now. Her flaws are being highlighted and u actually make her ordinary and I am sorry Suhani can never be ordinary I dnt watch ordinary if I wanted to ordinary I would watch the flower pot of tv gopi each and every day. Suhani's character isn't just about the colour of her skin but her personality and her personality is missing and it seems as if it has been abducted by aliens. For months upon months now they have stopped showing viewers who the real suhani is and let me say this viewers what Suhani to be shown properly over everything else in this show. And as a viewer who started really considering and watching this show each day I was lured into believing she was a youthful, beautiful, fun loving, dare devil out of the norm girl who was above tradition and above superstitious nonsense. honestly I am tired of the crap and will probably quit once yuvani get married coz that they are hurrying every single track so that suhani can be back in the Birla house so that she can be a maid and an ayi ladki girl again(only diff yu will be in love with her this time). Star Plus has started by just saying they want suhani to be her really dark u knw what happens next when she goes back there they will considerate on suhani winning over dadi they will show her trying to proof herself worthy of being her dil even though she is dark. But let me ask every1 this why is it that coz she is dark she has to proof herself worthy to be with him? What's great about Yuvraj and the Birla's? Absolutely nothing. Why cnt they change the story line a bit and make yuvraj try and win over suhani and develop their r/ship b4 they tie the know. And then a month later they can have the wedding and winning over dadi. Why is some1 and I am sorry yuvraj and yuvani fans who is not worthy enough to be with suhani is made to be the ultimate good for suhani. I have transgressed abit but if people what to trend and want to be notice don't do it coz of the makeup but do it for fact that we want to see a strong suhani coz when she shines f**k looks or the polish on her face u just see her personality and that is so beautiful u dnt notice anything else. But does that mean that I dnt want suhani to look her best and to be a total Princess like mehwish said obviously not. If suhani is supposed to be an ordinary simply girl why is she being differentiated coz of the fact that she is dark. Gopi, ishita are ordinary simply characters and a lot of other SP leads as well are that but when it comes to functions they are made to look beautiful on these occasions. But because Suhani is dark they make her look unnatural and differiante btw her. Dark is not unnatural its beautiful. So why is suhani made unnaturally dark and made to be simply and ordinary looking when this is not done in other shows. This is not fair and should not happen. 1 of their most popular shows bidaai after marriage they gave ragini beautiful looking clothes to wear, god she was so sexy in those sari's I was terribly jealous of her coz she of how she looked in her sari's very sexy and even b4 marriage they made her look beautiful and put nice makeup for her. And that show they also put polish on her face as well on the beginning. And she was simply and dark(I cnt call her ordinary sorry) and then there is that other show I think it was on zeetv Saloni there the girl truly was ordinary, simply and dark bt come functions time they made her look good( although I would say that didn't really help her coz I didn't feel she was goodlooking she only had nice eyes, she is like that athiya girl aka from the new Hero movie her face would be better suited for modelling skinny and tall). So if these if ordinary and simply and then ordinary, simply and dark girls are made to look their best than Suhani should also be made to look her best. But if fans trend for this then it must be done with utmost care, respect and should be done uniquely so that its more than just about clothes, black polish and makeup. So I am going to ask something of every suhani, yuvani, yuvraj and most importantly suhani si ek ladki fans. I want us all to trend for suhani with the hastag I am dark, beautiful and no less or something like that. But I wanted us to add something to this a selfie or a quote. For those who are not comfortable with posting their pic write a quote or even post a pic of something that can go with this situation. Or better yet write a long essay on how suhani makes u feel and how proud u are to be her fan and u can put it on a pic of her. or whatever u want to do. So I would like it if our ssel, rajshri and sahil pages on fb and twitter would spread the msg. But I am not good with titles so if any1 has a better hastag use it also choose a date and I will support u guys. Also I asked 1 person already if she would help with this and she has said yes I hope more of my friends here would think of doing it as well. Every1 can also contribute and come up with something to. Also these other shows they plan on specific times to tweet so it helps them get noticed. I think that also should be considered

First let me address this mind-boggling diktat of Star Plus that Suhani should be shown darker because that apparently was the show's premise. Where is this written? Where does it say Suhani is a girl with boot-polish colour? Doesn't it say she's 'average-looking but witty and caring' or something like that? So basically SP equates 'average-looking' with dark? And why is SP interfering NOW? Did it not see earlier episodes where Rajshri's natural colour was evident? HAS IT NOT, IN THE PAST 15 MONTHS OR SO SEEN THE SIGNATURE BANNER THAT CERTAINLY DOES NOT SHOW SUHANI WITH BROWN BOOT-POLISH? This channel sucks. It treats SSEL like a Cinderella, and then pulls rank in such senseless matters?

I don't care if Suhani is shown dark, because she's got good features, and a smile to die for, but they make her look odd. And no matter how many eyebrows go up, I will say it's distracting when you're examining physical aspects of the actress rather than concentrating on what's happening. I was peering at her face during the segs, wondering what had happened. That girl can still carry it off if she's smiling--but recently when they've done it in episodes where she's glum and listless, she looks terrible (and you're all free to bash me for saying this. It's how I see it and I'm not going to pretend to please the anti-brigade). They remove that glow on her face and make her look like a cardboard cut-out. Dark make-up has to be this bad? WHY CHANGE HER NATURAL COLOUR, DARK, WHEATISH, WHATEVER? What's the POINT?And the clothes, my God, has a leading lady ever been dressed this badly? From the striped tents to the glittering eyesores, she's been given crap clothes.

And du, so, so agree, especially re finding her less appealing when snaky dressed her up. That was not Suhani. Which is strange, really, 'cause I loved her look when BQ's minions dressed her and made her up (saw that quite recently) before the first post-wedding party. I was irritated at her going and ruining that get-up. And I loved her NY look and that time they go to a party where she dances to Inteha ho gayi. She looked great. Just stop messing with her.

But dark or not is a minor issue compared to what they've done to the character. I've heard rumours that SP interferes in the creative process--in fact they have a cv team on board, right? They've made Suhani a carcature instead of the Suhani she was. Wasn't THAT also the original premise of the story, more than this dark and not-dark crap?

Where's that Suhani? From the time of the revelation, she's disappeared into a look-alike who by and large (no pun intended) mouths sic platitudes, acts too adarsh for words, suffers in silence, and has lost that individuality that made her so refreshing. She's become boring, except in parts where they allowed a little of the old Suhani to show.

If anything, Yuvraj needed to prove himself worthy of Suhani the original--what was he? A rich brat who did nothing but buy horses, love his cars, have an ocd complex, sit around playing games, a wimp and a fool. Who gave him any redeemable qualities? Who rounded him out a bit? That girl they killed.

So Sandi, as things stand, Yuvraj deserves Suhani--this Suhani. Right now he's more interesting, more dynamic, though as usual cvs have ruined his coming to a point where he sees what he lost and tries to win her back. I suppose I can only hope that like an evil spell lifting, this great love confession will restore Suhani to some extent, but that's extremely unlikely, so probably I'll quit. Though one thing I must admit. This serial has something to have kept me on the hook so long.

I don't even get the point of SP's agenda here. I've seen the REAL her already... what would they get by painting it ANY colour NOW? I would now be looking at a person who is not let to look like what they really are, what should I make of that? 😕

I neither want a fair Suhani nor a dark one... I want the real one. Just because she'll address many stereotypes by going to darker shades, I won't take it...because it is NOT her. I already know beneath all that is actually a person not of that colour... Sorry, that would be double standards and over-doing the rooting of underdog. We won't get equality if we carry such mindset. You can tone her down but only to that extent where you won't distort her real looks...

Even if they would've gotten someone more dark to play this role, I would expect them to let the person be... whatever the colour she is. Because, ONLY then it would be the right definition of accepting a person as they are.

I found Suhani ugly when Somu put make-up on her, because that was not her. She was not like that, even though she looked fairer than before. That simply wasn't her! At the sametime, I found her ravishing @ New year party in that black saree even though she had a little make up on(and not looking fair like in former case), nothing overdone or covering up, infact she just highlighted her features, she was being herself. I want that... I don't want anything fake, even for social causes.

i also did not like how she looked when she snaky dressed her up. that was not her. SP wanted to show a simply youthful girl than they should show it. why discriminate against her when they don't discriminate against their other fair leads. but really the cvs are now going to be in for it. i think the channel is on a look out to axe something. the trps in what should be the most interesting time is 2,2 not happening for the channel. That's why i think that they are now interfering with the show. i blame the writers as well as the makeup artists who feel the need to change her look for an occasion. why could they not think of proper makeup for the girl. the makeup she had on last year was fine. and they want to show a girl of this skin complexion on tv then why not think what is the best makeup for her. alot of thought goes into snaky's wardrobe, hair, makeup( for no reason what so ever its not as if it makes a difference) so why not suhani's.
