Sandia' posts, trolls and forum rules

Pardom me if I'm breaking protocol here, but why has Sandia been told to watch her words? We've all used less-than-polite language on this forum, but except for trolls who post inflammatory or derogatory stuff, no-one here needs policing. I understand Resham may have only applied forum rules, but in that case, why not an equal reprimand to someone who has posted degrading comments about one of the forum characters?
I concede that when we use the forum, we are subject to admin's regulation. BUT, please don't apply reprimands arbitrarily, and please see the spirit rather than the letter of the rules. If you can only act on a complaint, I'm complaining.
