Today's episode was one full of much intrigue, suspense (for Suhani) and a precursor to Birla family drama.
Dadi's birthday party begins and her friends mock Suhani: I'm not even gonna bother with her friends and their names, let's just call them Friend 1 and 2. Friend 1 says that Dadi had sent her Soumya's picture and everyone looks agog. 😲🥱 Yuvraj steps in and says that it was a mistake and Suhani is his wife. Friend1 says that the necklace Suhani is wearing indicates she is a Birla and Friend 2 comes to give Suhani money as a wedding gift. Suhani looks crestfallen all this while, and Yuvraj encourages her to take the gift. Rajshri, your expressions were great here, because my eyes were stuck on Suhani's downcast face. Friend 2 tells Suhani the necklace suits her and Dadi interjects by saying that it's Yuvraj's choice, as if indicating that it's the necklace and not Suhani, which is beautiful. 😡 Pratima stands up for Suhani and says that some things only good on certain people and Dadi says that yes, things should only go to those whom it belong to. Suhani's face throughout the party just killed me- she looked like a wet puppy. 😭😭 Dadi welcomes everyone inside and all the 🤬s sit at table, Rags in tow. Dadi's friends, who till then had been keeping up the pretense of being harmless turn out to be naagins like her. 🤢 They say that her two bahus are very beautiful but Suhani...she leaves her dialogue incomplete, and it is laced with contempt. Dadi sighs as if she is the UN Secretary General and says that she wasn't there when all this transpired and acts like things are out of control now.
Suhani is just standing behind them and she overhears all this. Ragini notices her and adds fuel to the raging fire by saying that she doesn't understand how people marry 'below their standard'. 🤢😡 Viper-ini, wait till Dadi-Conda rips your fangs out. We will then laugh at you. Dadi agrees and says that people nowadays don't seem to think about the effects of such a decision, while Rags says that SHE would never agree to such a marriage. Friend 1 snidely asks whether Yuvraj is happy in this marriage and Dadi says that she doesn't think so. 😲 Dadi, how can you publicly humiliate Suhani like this? 😡 Is there no limit to your villainy?
RagMen's naagin dance and a pugnacious puppetry: 😡Menka is busy shoveling food into her mouth and Rags asks her if what she was supposed to do is done. Menka tells Ragini that she is jealous of her figure and says that the job is done. Gosh, these two are just incorrigible. Predictably, Yuvraj gets a call from the caterer that he'll have to pick up the cake because he's stuck in a traffic jam and Yuvraj hurries to get Dadi's cake. Gosh, it's so precious, isn't it? She would die without that cake, what say? 😕 Suhan decides to asks Dadi about whatever she overheard but decided against it as it's Dadi's birthday. 🥱Sharad is worried and just then, the lights go out. Rags takes centrestage and says that they will now present an entertaining puppet show for all the guests. Yeah right, entertaining for you and Dadi-conda, you mean. Ragini starts narrating the story of a guy who was the talk of the town and every girl's Prince Charming. She says that he, however, was waiting for the perfect girl to be his Princess and never paid anyone heed. 🥱 One day, he found that perfect princess and it seemed like they both would have a happy ending, but then, they got separated. Instead, he got married to a girl he hadn't seen and now, nobody knows what happened to his life. She asks the audience what they think happened. RagMen answer with a song as 'Hothon Mein Aisi Baat' plays and they twirl around Suhani like a Viper and Rattle Snake. 😡😡
They dance around Suhani, trying to urge her to read between the lines. Suhani looks like a deer caught in the headlights. The dance ends and Dadi's friends congregate around her to congratulate her.
Suhani, who is now totally disturbed by whatever she has seen and heard wants to go to Dadi and question her. Pratima sees her progress and tries to stop her, but Suhani firmly says that she has to talk about something important to Dadi. Pratima says that this is not the time for all this, but Suhani says the she can't wait any longer and shrugs her off. 👍🏼👍🏼 Suhani, I'm with you. I'm so happy she didn't listen to Pratima tonight. 👏 As she is about to question her, SauRaj announce that the cake is here and ask Dadi to cut it. The next scene that follows is a heartbreaking and revealing one for Suhani. Dadi cuts the cake as everyone sings for her and happiness is all around, but Suhani stands alone in the background with a face that looks like she'll tear up any second. 😭😭 It was a well-captured scene. Yuvraj comes to her and shakes her, while Suhani is lost in her own world. Dadi comes and feeds her, since Yuvraj has told her that the 'ladki' chose the cake.
Suhani confronts Dadi and Dadi reveals she is the puppeteer: After everyone has left, Suhani follows Dadi as she goes away. Without a doubt, the most power-packed scene of the episode and again, Rajshri brought Suhani's pain to life. 👏⭐️ Suhani stops Dadi and asks her what the puppet show was about and what Dadi was trying to indicate through it. Dadi smiles cryptically and says that the meaning of the puppet show is for her to understand, Dadi just showed her a story. Suhani stops her and asks with her bottom lip quivering, 😭 that, was the puppet show based on Suhani's life. Dadi turns around in triumph, smiles like a winner 😡and says for the first time, she can compliment Suhani and says, 'Bravo'. 🤢🤢 Bravo, my ass, Dadi. You are so vicious. Suhani is aghast and asks Dadi how she could do this. Suhani's dialogues are very heartfelt here, because they depicted all the shock she felt. She asks how Dadi, being a mother, could conspire to wreck her own children's life, especially since Yuvraj is her favourite. She questions how Dadi could team up with Soumya when she was weak, influence her and try to wreck Suhani's marriage. Suhani looks mad with grief. My heart broke for her- 🥺. She asks why Dadi insinuated in the puppet show that the marriage was forced and tells her that it was Yuvraj who wanted to marry Suhani. She says that despite Dadi's numerous attempts, she has been unable to break YuvAni up and she will never be able to. 😲Suhani, you're such a fighter! 👏👏 Dadi finally turns around and delivers her death blow- she says that Yuvraj is not happy in this marriage and is upholding it only because of his 'majboori'-pressure. 😲 Suhani is shocked. Looks like a whole road of tears is ahead for Suhani, and now, I just feel none of these people deserve her. She should get out of BH and build her own life, away from these beautiful people with ugly hearts.
