The Core of All Problems - Yuvraj and Soumya

This has been the crux of my problem. See, the issue with having a love story is that you need 'love' to depict it. 😆😆 Right now, Yuvraj thinks of her as a roomie and I will go on record to say, he doesn't love her 😭 It pains me to say that, but it's the unfortunate truth. I have been saying this for a while now, but there has been NO progress in his feelings for Suhani and due to that, we're all angry at Yuvraj and feeling disconnected to YuvAni.

Soumya loves her self the most and she in NO WAY loves Yuvraj. What a joke. 🥱 She is only interested in some emotional and social security for herself and being Dadi's pet. It's all about her. We all know what she's like, so the less said about her, the better.

Progress is one factor which has been SORELY missing in Yuvraj's character. The CVs have ignored such a pivotal character and they're making him very difficult to stomach, with his current apathy, indifference and lack of concern for Suhani. 😡🤢 As for that scene where Soumya acquaints him with the hard truth of Suhani's life, it impinged on his senses for 5 mins and then he forgot it. With Yuvraj, there is seldom deep introspection that leads to long-term changes in his character. He hardly seems to ponder on his behaviour with Suhani for 10 mins and then goes back to being what he was. All the CVs are highlighting through his behaviour is his indifference to Suhani and how he thinks of nothing more as a glorified roommate.

About Suhani's fault, haven't you seen the recent episodes? She has given SnakeRaj the benefit of the doubt at every stage and has gone to Yuvraj to clear things up if they troubled her- the V-Day gift, the art gallery disaster etc. She hasn't let these seeds of suspicion remain untroubled. Her first instinct has always been to go and clear things up. She has done that, except when interrupted by others.

CVs...you NEED to get the story back on track and make this about Suhani and Yuvraj. I agree there definitely should be subplots but why not a subplot for Bhavna, Rags, Saurabh, Sharad..etc They're ALL talented actors and it's sad to see such talent and stories go into waste. If not the same amount of screen space, give each other the same quality of story. We want you to understand that there is a story beyond Yuvraj and Suhani's love story. There are amazing subplots, Dadi's mentality change, BH going down and coming back up again, Suhani and Yuvraj's personal growth, Rags/Saurabh's relationship..etc Changing Dadi's mentality is not going to be easy and I want the BH to see days where life is rough. I feel like that's the only way Dadi and her gang will understand value.

@bolditalics- This is your defining paragraph and I agree with each and every word of it. I think SSEL's main story, it's core is how Suhani will manage to change life-long held prejudices by Dadi and the other Birlas. This is the main story and I will enjoy it very much. As you said, the other characters have much more interesting subplots, but it has all been put on the back burner for Somu. I would love to see not only Dadi's but Yuvraj's personal growth and mindset makeover too. SauRag's marriage is another track that really interests me. I think Bhavna' sexual abuse could have been a great one, but they swept it under the rug. I too think that BH going down and the Birlas falling upon some hard days is needed.

BTW, you didn't come to AT#13. We just got over with it an hour back and we used your suggestion, "Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaayi" for it. 😳

Awesomely expressed...couldn't have done better...inconsistency is the only consistent thing in SSEL. There are too many loose threads to be tied...just hope CV's get things on track soon.

Consistency between episodes is xpecting too much I guess at this point! If you noticed, even within each episode itself there's no consistency.

He acted as if in a hurry to get Su, and finally when he manages to tear away from dadi-n-co's photoshoot crap-instructions (yuk😵), he sits around giving phookat gyan to anything-but-bechari-Snakey!
and casually greets SU as if its no big deal and continues to GIFT her with words of "WORK-TO-DO"

I don't remember it correctly, but I think Yuvraj tried his best to make Soumya jealous even many months after his marriage with Suhani. I think that was his only aim of life to make Soumya feel guilty. So I think Yuvraj is at fault here. He basically schemed, planned to destroy the marriage of Soumya. I don't think there is any difference between him and Dadi here.
Finally, her marriage was broken, and she is free now. Soumya is doing the same thing now. I think she thought Yuvraj loves her, because earlier, he tried his best to make her jealous. So its the consequences of things Yuvraj have done earlier to Soumya.
It is Yuvraj, who tried his best to tell Soumya that he loves her earlier. Even now he is still apathetic towards Suhani and spends time with Soumya. It is giving a wrong message to her. I hope this drama ends soon and Soumya moves on from the Birla house where she is treated like dirt.
