And yes,Suhani is an adorable banana peel <3 She is really too good for them all. All I can say is I feel so inspired every time I watch her.

All Yuvraj's anger, irritation and worry were all for Suhani.

Suhani is really adorable. I thought she looked so cute during that Snoopy scene, and look how she just gets back up after all those blows and shrugs it off. 👏 What spirit. ⭐️

However, I think the CVs need to show Suhani angry with Soumya/anyone who mistreats her too, because this attitude makes her look like a pushover at times.

I haven't watched the episode today and don't plan on doing it.😳 A little busy the next couple of days, but I do get a clear picture of what could have happened today.

You have put it so clearly! Yuvraj is such a confused soul.. He is superficial one minute and pretty deep the next. He keeps silent as Dadi taunts Suhani but enjoys it when RagMen get it back from Suhani.

He apologizes for hurting her but then goes and hurts her himself. He hates Sowmya but puts up with her nonsense and thinks back on the time he was infatuated with her.

Yuvraj is basically decent and as you have so well analysed, one has to give the entire credit of that part of him to Pratima.
But being Dadi's favorite grandson, he is also the spoilt, rich kid with no conscience. And when these two worlds clash, Yuvraj is like a fish out of water, and literally gawks like a fish😆

The decent part of him is still weak. Years of looking down upon others who are less privileged than him, it will take time and quite an effort to get over that kind of attitude for Yuvraj does not see anything wrong with that.

He does not sense anything amiss in the way Dadi treats her servants. He does not consider it wrong when she berates and insults his best friend Sharad. That is why he shows indifference when Suhani goes through the same thing. Heck, even when Dadi taunts his mom, Yuvraj changes the topic to distract her and does not actually stand up to his snobbish Grandmom.

This attitude can change only if there is a continental shift in the way Yuvraj thinks. He needs to realize that looking down upon people because of their social status, color of skin etc., is plain wrong.

Until now, his attitude is more like "chaltha hai" in these matters.

Even when it comes to the Birla business, Yuvraj is least interested in it and so are the Birla boys. Only Suhani tried and she was shot down immediately.

This will all come to a breaking point. Something serious has to happen for Yuvraj to see that looks cannot be the driving force of relationships. Whether it is Suhani walking away or being wooed by another person, it has to drive Yuvraj to think, and think shedding his prejudice.

I wonder if the Birlas can get swindled 😉.. That will leave them as paupers and then one can see how fast Sowmya runs away while Dadi will realize that it is not nice to look down her nose at others😆

You juxtaposed all the contradictions in Yuvraj's personality so well. ⭐️

@bold- This sums up the problem entirely. Yuvi has serious issues that he needs to deal with. He actually thinks that it's okay to treat people badly because of extraneous variables that are out of their control. The incident at the beauty pageant shows the extent to which Yuvi believes this view is right. 😡He lets it fly because it doesn't affect him and because he doesn't completely empathise with others. However, when Suhani or Sharad questions him, you can see the confusion in his eyes because Pratima's Yuvraj tells him that judging a book by its cover is never right. 😕

@red- Yuvraj has internalised the fact that those who are "Superior" are allowed to treat the "inferiors" however they want. This is why he doesn't bat an eyelid when P/Su/Sha are mistreated. This idea needs to be challenged and defeated in his head.

It's a product of years of conditioning which will take some time to dismantle. So, Yuvraj, I feel has to personally grow light years to actually be worth of Suhani and others like Sharad too.

I've just read the posts on the first page. Clarity, great analysis, and good replies from Elita and yanks. I was not happy with yesterday's episode. Yuvraj has left the door open for Snaky to continue her fantasy, and there is actually some element of doubt as to whether Yuvraj still has feelings for her, which she so doesn't deserve--and neither does Suhani. Suhani was very irritating in her 'somu-somu' crap -- oh get some sense, girl! Apart from trying to manao someone who was totally in the wrong anyway, and a proven liar, how can she forget all her doubts and confusion from yesterday and fixate on making Snaky feel better rather than concentrating on analyzing what all these things mean--Soumya telling Yuvraj she loves him, pretending she was so drunk on 1 peg that she thought Yuvraj was Krishna (oh come ON!), the lie revealed when she learnt Snaky wants to divorce Krishna, Yuvraj's flare-up and uneasiness...
And like seeing a film can solve life's great problems.
Just stupid.
But Clarity's post did actually make sense of it -- I hope the writers take a cue from it. I totally agree that Yuvraj cannot accept that he might come to love Suhani, and he's certainly not there yet. The points the others made are also valid. But this kabhi khushi-kabhi gam fluctuations from day to day, with Suhani never really getting any real victory, is tiresome.
Another point, thinking back to the NY party and the song chosen for Yuvraj-Suhani, Yuvraj did give Snakey a meaningful look when he said 'haqueekat ki duniya mein chahat nahi hai'' (For those whose Hindi isn't their strongest point, the verse roughly translates to: Sagas of love are printed in books; love does not exist in real life; In the market of the world, this is a commodity; that no one needs. This is a useless, worthless thing...)
Maybe Yuvraj's heartbreak over Snaky (even if it was only a crush) may have made him feel that all this love stuff is not for him. Maybe Snaky's persistence in telling him that he still loves her has shaken him a bit. Maybe somewhere it's a kind of sweet vindication, though on the face of it he's too concerned about what it will do to Suhani to find out the truth. That, I think, was partly the purpose of the scene with Sharad in the garden the previous day--to be reminded that Suhani loves him and TRUSTS him.

Guys what an awesome, awesome discussion I loved reading it. I will add my thoughts more about the actual topic a little later but 1 thing that caught my eye and I got to ask about is the color of suhani skin truly a barrier for Yuvraj? I have never seen him make an issue of it, if anything he has never been shown to actually care ab it even in the beginning he loved souyma he couldn't care less what suhani looked like. And I dnt think he sees her as an ugly girl coz she is dark. His main problem has always been that her father took away his right to choose his own partner. He has been from the outset thought that he would never fall for her coz he didn't choose her and this right was taken away from him. And more so he wasn't and isn't willing to hand over his heart to any1 so they can break it again, I dnt think it was like a check list when it came to her where he ticked off reasons as to why he would never fall for her- fairness, thin, rich wasn't so much on that. Am I missing something coz I missed a few episodes in the beginning of the show ? And chaipatti- means tea wife or what coz it sounds bad bt I dnt knw what it means and that's the only thing he calls her
