Do you think that Dadi truly wants Souyma for Yuvraj?

Do you think Dadi truly wants Souyma for Yuvraj? Does she really think that Souyma is really the perfect wife for him? Or is she just using her to get rid of Suhani? A girl she isn't able to control like everyone else in that household? All this time I have thought that Dadi truly believes that Somu and Yuvraj are meant to be together but then in a small corner of my mind I think, does she truly care that Somu be with Yuvraj or is she just a means to an end? Whether Yuvraj accepts her or not may not be her primary concern. Just having Suhani out of the house may be it and this was her best way to go about doing it while hurting Suhani in the process by taking away her trust in her best friend, husband, brother and even her MIL. Perhaps this would be her ultimate revenge against Suhani, the ladki she could not control!

I think both the reasons are involved. Dadi hates suhani to the point that she desperately wants suhani out. she cant behold the sight of suhani and also wants soumya for yuvraj.

Abit of both as sonarikan said. Bt I think it has a lot more to do with her blind hatred for suhani and her mindset about the perfect white family. If suhani had conformed and being docile she would I think have kept her around especially if yuvraj really loved her and would not have been so lured by snaky there though. After reading the article which said that yuvraj has said no to souyma it got be wondering as to why she is still gona push and tell suhani the truth. Coz why isn't she wondering why yuvraj hasn't left suhani yet now nothing is holding him from leaving her and if she thinks he is a principled boy than why would she think that yuvraj would take second hand goods like snaky back or even a person like snaky who would leave her husband and bf? I think its just her mentality it got nothing to do with her liking snaky for herself as an individual she just likes her coz she knows how to dress up, put makeup and be mean to others. And really those sort of ppl are every way she could pick 1 from the streets who was fair and teach her all those things that snaky has. Once she gets suhani out and realises that yuvraj truly doesn't want snaky she is gona kick her to the curve bt she better watch out coz snaky is snaky she is gona turn on her and bite her.

lol nahi snaky free? Never that 1 is so expensive she is gona spend the birla money so fast they would go bankrupt and never come out of it until suhani helps them lol.

I think it's a combination of factors, just like sandi and sonarikan mentioned.

I'm going to structure my reply in order of how much I think these factors matter-

1. Birlas' status - I think the most important things in Dadi's life are status, wealth and social reputation. Nothing comes above these factors for Dadi. I think her first and foremost disappointment with Suhani is that she is dark, hence not beautiful (not my view but Dadi's opinion) and doesn't add to the Birlas' status. Dadi's life revolves around status and anything that doesn't add to it is useless and inferior, in her opinion. Her every action is controlled by how it is perceived by society. This is already a strike against Suhani.

2. YuvAni's forced marriage- Next, Dadi can't stand the fact that Yuvraj married Suhani under the threat of that bank loan, therefore she thinks, for obvious reasons, that Yuvraj doesn't love Suhani and is just living with her because a sense of obligation. This is especially intolerable to her, because, using her words, that girl and her phateechar father blackmailed and plotted their way into Birla House. Her darling grandson was an innocent victim who fell prey to the scheming of 'dark and ugly'😕 Suhani. If you notice the episodes before she finds out about Yuvraj loving Soumya and the bank loan, she tolerated Suhani, even if she couldn't bring herself to accept Suhani fully. I think her Mission Send Suhani Out and outright hatred for her began once she discovered the blackmail and Soumya part, because then she got a reason to justify her ousting of Suhani.

3. Soumya, the 'suitable' wife- Since the only traits Dadi cares about when it comes to her DILs are beauty and status, I feel they are more or less replaceable for her. She thinks Yuvraj loves Soumya, but more importantly, she fits her idea of what a Birla Bahu should be like. Do you really think Dadi would have accepted Soumya had she not been beautiful? Yuvraj loving her is just a bonus that fits into Dadi's worldview of what the Birlas should be like. Wait till Yuvi tells her he loves Suhani, all her concern for Yuvraj's "love" will go flying out of the window. Once that happens, she'll probably go back to tolerating Suhani while still resenting and making life difficult for her in general. So, I don't think Dadi cares about Soumya herself too much; if a new, more beautiful, richer girl came along, Dadi would want her for Yuvi instead. Dadi's love for a person only depends on what status-boosters they can bring to the table.

Hahhaha, exactly. If she truly cared about having a good , understanding and suitable life partner for Yuvraj, she wouldn't like RagMen, knowing the kind of hellions they are. 😡 How can she be happy with nasty pieces of work like RagMen, otherwise? Answer: Beauty, ergo status.

I think some of Dadi's behavior is inexplicable. It's hard to believe this woman has lived a life and seen the grind, the ups and downs...guess she hasn't. She's lost her husband obviously and even a son- Yuvraj's dad...those losses probably had no impact on her. She's got no immaturity. I just don't understand how an old woman can be so wicked when she has lived such a good life and no one has done anything to her. She's being so cruel to Suhani now...she had no daughters of her own it seems so she can't even put herself in the position of a girl's mother or at least as a woman herself she should wonder what trauma Suhani will go through at this type of rejection when her husband's family simply throws her away like trash just because of her looks and want of status...it's something very few ppl recover from...Dadi is a total sadist and I hope Yuvraj puts her in her place one day.

I don't know how she's content at Rags and Menka because they do nothing productive to contribute to the family and if one day the Birlas lost their wealth both would walk out whereas Suhani would THINK and find ways to regain that wealth...Soumya would simply go back to Mumma.
